I revived an 11 year old gaming laptop (or high power ultrabook?) and gave it to my brother since it's an upgrade for him. cleaned it inside and out (razer sticker got perma etched into the metal) and added fresh thermal paste, then I optimized the hell out of the windows install to use 0% cpu at idle and 1.6gb ram idle out of the upgraded 16gb ram.
It has an i7 2630QM, Nvidia GT550 and 16 gigs of dd3 ram paired to my brother's existing 250gig sata ssd
now my brother can finally play valorant at 720p low instead of 240p lollol
