#don't limit access to the programming channel to people who have the 'Coder' role

I bet half (probably way more honestly) the people here don't know you need that role, hidden at the end of the roles page, to access that channel. There's a variety of reasons why it doesn't get much activity, but here's some fixable issues: channel placed all the way at the bottom, and it's not very obvious that you need that to be able to see the channel in the first place.

Making it visible to everyone would... increase its visibility. The channel was added for a reason, and making it visible to everyone even under the "EXTRACURRICULAR" category would likely help it help a few more people, at least.

Do let me know if you know why it shouldn't be made visible to everyone, otherwise. Thanks.

im open to this

#

would you suggest we do this for all extracurricular channels or just the programming one

#

and how do you suggest we deal with people starting random conversations in these channels (if it happens)

I don't know about all the channels under that category but I'm going to assume #programming would benefit the most from this, though, we can do it for all the categories too if that does not present a problem

adding more or making existing posting guidelines for it more specific could potentially help

Alright EminemSomething, I'll remind you about fix extracurricular channel perms to make it available to everyone rather than role-based in 1 day and 12 hours. ID: 50499218
