you CAN, but from my understanding it's incredibly inefficient because then you can't dynamically size them and you're wasting a shit ton of memory by just having it up in the air like that

ALSO if you're using C/C++, when you pass an array parameter to a function you're only passing a reference to a pointer of arr[0], that's how arrays work in c, you can't physically pass a whole array it's always natively passed as a pointer

it's also bad practice to have global arrays if you're working with anything that's not a 30 line project. because that array is not variable & it's not modular

it's not flexible whatsoever

and its a huge waste of space
