Hi there. So the reason i have Phy, Chem, Bio is because thats a requirement in Pakistan IF in the instance i want to stay in pak. The reason i went with maths is because i did Addmaths in IGs, and hence am easily able to do P1, as for M1/S1 I've been able to work on it with physics (I dont really like physics but its just something that i have to do.) The reason I have Further is because it is the one subject that truly interests me rn, it just feels different yk? History is not something that i have officialy taken yet or plan to give CAIES for it, it's something i'm considering that too out of passion for it.

I really wanted to try to have a subject combination that is oriented in STEM but has a touch of humanities to aid in Public Health if that is what i do. Hence history even tho it is quite irrelevant.

ahh ic. so in this case you have no choice but to do phy,chem and bio. 6 subjects is an awful lot of work tho. Its a big step up from igs. 1 A level subject is the equivalent of 3 IG subjects (and that too in a shorter time). so if you take 6 you, be undertaking the equivalent of 18 igs which is simply crazy.

Add math does ease it up a bit. you ll barely have to prepare for the standard A level math. I would personally recommend dropping one of the two remaining subjects. Fm or history. but if you think you are qualified enough, go for it. ||small note: your probability in having to take a gap year repeating subjects you performed poor in increases. i m gonna take a gap year and give FM privately while giving SATs and other exams. best approach ngl. if you have too many subs, some of which arent much relevant, just do them privately after you have given the rest. it reduces the overall strain by quite a bit||

If you wanna try a humanities or like u said smt related to public health, I think psy could be a great option as-well. I am taking it along with my cs subs and so far it’s been chill and fun.

Hey im self studying international a level in malaysia and trying to decide if edexcel or cie would be the better choice to sit my exams for, i heard they have different style questions, edexcel doesnt have practical from what ive heard (does cie offer alt to practical?) but i dont know if can take them in malaysia since cie is more popular i think. I think there are more centers to do cie at but edexcel doesnt have practical and i dont really have access to a lab or something (doing bio,chem,phys,math). There are mixed reviews about the difficulty about edexcel and cie. I did igcse cie though so i think it would be better to do that but i need some 2nd opinions.
