Saw just 3 eps and stopped watching just not worth it, seems like we saw S1 as we were experiencing lockdown and just needed something fresh to watch and there wasn't anything good to begin with no answers about anything just playing games
i just finished last night. i wasn’t expecting the season to be so short or end so abruptly, looks like they’ve already confirmed the final season is coming out in 2025 tho
knowing that probably changes my overall opinion of it but i wasn’t a huge fan that the structure was mostly the same as the first season
What i found weird is how that salesman guy was shown he seems like a big dude in Korean industry and yet had such a small role with no major significance
i feel like that's how it always goes with this type of thing. your first introduction to the big evil corporation always seems big bad and scary because he's still part of that group of people but we've seen how little regard they have for human life so it's no surprise that they feel the same way about their own people
Loved the 2nd season. Fastest I’ve probably ever binge watched a show. So many different storylines and characters they develop well. Bring on season 3
yea, the characters were awesome. really love the twist of the front man being inside from the beginning. and the show has plenty of tiny details that i can really appreciate, like when he kept failing the spinning top. he kept using his right hand to intentionally fail and stress everyone out and we know that because we always see him use his left hand to take a drink or aim his weapon. then he switches to the left hand after failing with the right a few times and it's perfect. i love that shit
it also seems that il-nam was in-ho's father. he had a line in season one about how his son couldn't drink dairy, and in season two in-ho offers gi-hun his milk because he can't drink it. then i'm like "wait, the cop would've recognized his dad then at the end of season one" BUT there is the conversation between the officer (i can't remember his name) and his mother where she says something about how she hopes in-ho doesn't resent her for treating him differently as a stepson. so many little details all over the place that add up, it's really good storytelling
Yep it’s great and it does seem like il-nam may be in-ho’s father. I’m rewatching season 1 and I forgot a lot of details with it too. The girl that plays guard 011 in season 2, do we know why she gets to enter the game as a soldier and not a player?
Bro when dae-ho killed it on the dice game I was hyped.
i think she's just a guard, she was the one working in the pig suit which is why she knows the one guy in the games has a sick daughter and she keeps staring at him
could be an example of showing us the people behind the masks are also just people who may not exactly love what they do lol
I’m hearing rumors that the dad of the daughter may still be alive. Like maybe 011 gave him a non-fatal shot. The ultimate rumor is that gi-hun eventually becomes the new front man. 👀
im still wondering why tf gi hun trusted 001. i totally forgot that 001 was the front man, but before i got reminded his presence was ringing alarm bells in my mind. also when he told them his name i immediately thought "is he il nam's son???"
final episode spoiler: ||in the end he seemed to catch on when he insisted that his friend come with him instead of 001, but he still wasnt careful enough when he asked 001 for backup with the two other guys. that kinda annoyed me||
also i swear i saw him side-eye 001 a few times but it was so subtle that idk if i was imagining it
(more last?? episode spoilers) i liked the season just didnt like how abrupt the ending was and how ||the search led to absolutely nothing, zero leads, just a single booby trap and finding out the captain is in on it, but nothing else was done with that information||
also super tiny detail but where the fuck are the girls getting eyeliner from? esp the psychic girl, its too unrealistically neat
they shouldve gradually messed it up, added a little smudging underneath, or something like that
ik its super tiny but that kinda took me out of it and reminded me that they're actors
I want to buy all those little games from the “6 legs” episode and see if I can complete them all in under 5 minutes. 😆
same, i saw a tutorial to make the ddakji pieces so i wanna try that
the tossing/catching game is really similar to jacks, which i sucked at as a kid, so i wanna see if I'll be able to do it now
Yep that’s the game I’m most hyped about trying but it looks hard. (The dice game.) They actually got a professional to do the dice part in the show when gi-hun’s team is going through the game. You can’t even tell cuz the editing is so on point
oh yeah i found that out later, apparently the actor was practicing and as soon as he started to get good, he found out that they got a professional lol
I just learned how to play gonggi on TikTok and now I gotta buy the game. 😆
so damn soon
Can’t wait
My gonggi dice finally came in the mail. I’m getting good, but the part where you have to land all the dice on the top of your hand and then catch them…that’s quite the challenge.
Hope they have planned an origin episode focus on the frontman in S3. I think that's absolutely necessary for us to fully understand his motivations and how he ended up there.
Looks like they’ll definitely be touching on the Frontman’s backstory. So hyped for this season
How many episodes do we get tho ? I've heard there are 6 but nothing confirmed i think
I’ve not seen or heard anything yet. Gonna rewatch season 2 again soon. Watched 1 a few months ago and it was better than I remembered
