I really hope you are joking
i’m not?
i thought it was amazing and was a great continuation of the previous trilogy
It was amazing yes. I loved the actors and the animation and visuals. But i felt like the Mae part of it was a bit bleh.
In terms of all, I would say it sits on 3rd for me followed by war and dawn. Rise would be the last.
dude what i thought it was so awesome that she wasn’t just a basic human companion to the apes. she had so much more depth than that and and i love that she was truly just looking out for herself and her race the entire time. you could argue that proximus wasn’t the villain, she was.
proximus was right about her the entire time telling noa that he couldn’t trust her
I agree with what you say. Proximus felt less like a villain to me but his presence was so powerful. About Mae, i just felt that at one point her journey was being focused too much on and things were suddenly more about her? Don't get me wrong, but i personally feel like these movies are designed to revolve around the apes. But the human direction they took, is gonna change that. Moving forward I feel like we will get stories more centric around both humans and apes. Which is nice, but i still think the ape storytelling was so good, Mae's depth didn't feel much more than setting up further.
So like the trilogy before each was set years apart. I feel like the new trilogy won't be apart as much? But let's see. I did enjoy the movie a lot. Loved noa and proximus so muchh
i really like mae and noa's conversation at the end. where noah is like "what is for apes? should we go back to silence?" like it's totally natural that the humans feel threatened by the apes and they want to take their world back but the apes have evolved so much as a species that they are going to have to learn to co-exist in a way they never have before. i think that's what the future installments are going to focus on, the next one perhaps is focused on a human vs ape conflict and at the end of the 3rd perhaps they finally reach that level of coexistence
proximus was so fucking cool. that moment at the end where noa is singing the song and proximus is crouched over him and says "trevathan would love this" was probably my favorite line of dialogue in the whole movie.
That conversation was the one thing that saved mae's storyline for me. It was so good. Like you can see Noa has such good characteristics.
Yeah I think you might be right about the trilogy. The ape human conflict. I heard somewhere they might bring the astronauts in. Thats what I initially thought they were doing with the satellite
Man Kevin nailed his role. He was so fire from the start till the end. And animation is so good. I really like what wes ball did here. I hope they give him the next movies too.
i’m tryna find out how to become an ape extra in a future installment i can’t stop walking around the house like a chimp 😂
😂😂😂😂
I remember me and my friends we were walking out like chimps after the movie 🤣
It's too funny.
idk why it's so fun, chimps are so fascinating
i've always had an interest in them, they were my favorite part of going to the zoo as a kid. now that i've become invested in these movies it's just reached a new level lol
Agree with all your points. Finally was able to see it last night. I LOVED it!
reddit comment from wes ball on mae having the gun at the end. i'm glad he's the one leading the new series, he's got a good grasp on this conflict
Yesssss. Me too. As i said, I would want wes to do the further movies. This was v nicely explained too. I can see what we discussed happening in further movies
but did you make your own arm extensions from a pair of crutches???
GET THIS MAN A CHIMP ROLE IN THE NEXT MOVIE.
Dude. Sickkkk 🤣🤣.
You just need some green dots on your face and someone to load your chimp. I can imagine you walking.
"Apes. Strong. Together."
"Hu. Hu. Hu."
i’ve recently been taking acting classes as it’s been something i’ve always been interested in. always loved chimps as well. i figure with some focused effort and luck i can maybe find myself in not the next film, but the third in this trilogy. after seeking out and landing a job with my favorite artists i can’t help but have a “fuck it, anything can happen” attitude.
this text would be proof to that!!! Hell yeah.
would make a cool story. got so obsessed landed a chimp in the movie
