i thought ellie's reveal as immune could've been more suspenseful like it was in the game but it felt kinda quick, not sure how many casual viewers who aren't familiar with the story will pick up on it

Tess is shot the death bc the Army is chasing them, not a whole horde of infected. Also the whole concept of the hivemind and being able to attract a ton of infected from a different location. also in the game you have to wear gas masks when walking into a building like they did bc the spores are how the infection would spread. in the post-episode behind the scenes they talk about how that isn’t as easy to sell in a live action medium

I like the shows better actually. Yea they're both sacrifical deaths but to save Ellie and Joel from a hoard over an ambush or ppl who are tracking them down is alot more impactful for Tess' story on the show.

very curious to see how they pull off season 2 since the events were so divisive that a lot of gamers didn't even finish it. i wonder if they stay true to the source material like season one or if they really start veering away from the game in S2
Mazin already said there's more than one season's worth of TV in the second game so I definitely expect them to stretch into a 2nd and 3rd season but (Mega huge gigantic season 2 spoiler) ||Joel dies toward the very beginning of the game so I wonder if season 2 incorporates more of the DLC that way they can string out how long they have Pedro. There's no way you have someone like him leading your franchise just to kill him off in the first or second episode especially if you want to shock the viewers. There is just soooo much that happens after that event tho I have no idea how they do it any other way. Should be very interesting||
