In the last battle named “end of time” there is a bug that many people have, the bug is also on the Switch version of Everhood 2. When we have to absorb all the orbs after beating the first phase the game softlock and we can only hear a loop of the music and continue absorbing in a vacuum. I love the game and would love to do the sequel and have any missing Steam achievements. But this bug is ruining my experience.
People in the Steam post comments are giving advice on how to get out of Softlock, I've tried everything, I've even changed difficulty, haircut, see if I'm missing any files, weapon but nothing changes.

Those two images are two separate issues
The one posted 10th march is a very old bug. Some players could not progress due too high framerate or too low so we changed level.
Related to your problem: What happens when you are holding the CAST button in when you are white ball?
If possible try to videorecord!

When I watch gameplay, I see that as soon as it gets to the point where it says “EATDH”, the symbol next to it changes very quickly, and I'm stuck before I can even finish absorbing.
