I played the story pretty far before the achievments were available, do I need to replay the story to get them or is there any other way?

Most likely you have to replay sections to unlock achievements!

Were you not connected to internet or such earlier?

unfortunately the game won't award you for achievements you would have gained in the demo

you'll likely have to replay it at some point if you want the achievements, don't worry though it doesn't take long!

I made a new playthrough after I bought the game, at that point I couldnt see any achievments, after my session the game had a small update and the achievments showed up in steam

I think steam overall just had an hiccup and not neceserily anything updated with the achievements itself!

How we trigger achievements is certainly something we can improve on so it doesn't require a constant stable connection.
