I'm experiencing a similar problem. Sometime the game crashes, and when it does key binds reset.
I'm only remapping "q" to "down arrow"

Posting here to bump, Keybinds do not persist when closing the game.
Thought maybe it was just because of the update, but tested multiple possibilities and remaps reset every time I close the game no matter what.

yeah i assumed it was known to the developers as its super noticable and annoying. many others have discussed it in the eh2 discussion but i suppose it flew under the radar

We havent been able to reproduce issue on our side!
We just have to keep testing on different computers for now.

if you press ESC after putting in your keybinds, your keybinds will change for that particular session but for none others in the future , If you press confirm in the menu then it properly saves it for future play sessions, i hope what i have said makes sense! This theory popped in my mind when you said you couldnt re-create it and i just tested it now.

when you say press ESC, you mean like, opening the settings in-game?

when you rebind your keys in the settings and then press ESC to leave the that menu

I ate 12k tomato seeds and got to level 10, THIS shouldnt not of have happened as the cap IS level 9 for tomato seed xp howevrer through some eldritch means, this could not be replicated - i had the most up to date version of eh2 at the time so it shouldnt of happened
maybe it was because i was doing tomato seed shenigans for 4hrs
