I am not quite sure how to use the handle for the timing of retrograde.
In the academy lesson 7 after retrograde time 0, I am supposed to use the handle up to 20 seconds? Initially I thought this to be a stopwatch, but I guess it is a time-setting , i.e. next step will happen after the 20 seconds count down to 0 again?
Either way, the lesson gets stuck and doesn't advance. Easy to scream "bug" but more likely user-error.
Are there perhaps any videos that show this particular step?

Mmmh... Once retro reached zéro, the sequencer is on its own track... Not sure you can reset retro seq after it reached zero. Maybe I misunderstood something in your post, been a while since Mercury, but this behaviour doesn't ring a Bell.
Seems weird to me that the tutorial asks you to delay rétro seq after it start. Unless you've purposedly disabled the sequencer.
