Grinding hostiles can be a bore at times, but if you use a couple of tricks you can get boxes to drop more often, and get better rewards. Yesterday I was able to farm 40k Officer XP, with my best pull being 12k XP from just 25 boxes.

We've been complaining for awhile that Scopely needs to do something to give players more resources in the game as mining simply hasn't been cutting it. They did so tonight (5-4-19) by adding a trade in system and making changes to the Augment Faction store and event!

Its too little, too late. Our server is almost emtpy, no new players, and everybody is the same level. Between lvl 18 and 35. No new players below level 18... perhaps its time for a server merge

The Botany Bay has been slept on for too long. You might be getting tired of the Augment event, and that's understandable, but it's gifted you a great new ship and you might not even realize it! Your Botany Bay has the potential to be your best raid miner until the horizon, and all you have to do is complete some augment missions and give her some TLC!

Hives can be a great idea, or a terrible one. In this video you see the pros and cons of a hive at the same time! It's great to have an alliance that works together to try and defend their friends, but what happens when you simply are outmatched by the ships attacking? Well the pirates loot your base of course!

One of the perks of the Augment event has been new officers to play with and try out. In this video I test the Uncommon Augments vs the Epic Morale crew and the starter Cadets to see if the Augments really are better for base raiding.

t's so common to see, and it seems like it's just become one of those accepted practices that was never explained as to why we do them, we just do them, but from 2* material systems to 3* materials systems players are placing "guard" ships next to their miners. I'm here to tell you one thing: Stop it.

Shout-out to Ekon for reminding me of this method/shooting this video idea. If you're in the low-mid 20s and are struggling to finish your events because BOSS hostiles are over 2M power, then try the buddy system! I test it out in this video and find it works great.

@obsidian gate who want to wait 10 hours to fix there ships so that they can play the game not me. Then there is the fact that not everyone is willing to put money in to the game like all these wallet warriors. I for one don't see the point in waiting 10 hours just play a game if I have to wait that long then I don't see the point in playing the game or putting money into it. But thankfully right now my longest wait time for ship repair is about 1 hour each ship and I can live with that but the moment it becomes to where I am waiting on repairs more than I am playing the game and my only option is to buy a repair pack then I will quit the game and find another game to play that is not with scopely

@leaden leaf I completely agree with you on your server shenanigan series. One of the issues is a lack of end game content to keep top players occupied and focused on something other than pushing their collective weights around. For example, it would be great if one of the end game contents was that you would be subjected to Borg raids which essentially would be PvE content for end gamers. You’d either have to amass to take on the Borg cube which would randomly show up and the alliance has to deal with that threat. That would be the great equalizer since that would have the power to put a serious hurt on the very top level players. Would be even better if Borg ships would randomly appear throughout the galaxy and decimate a random station. Just something that adds RNG and would scale based on the system that they are in and the level that the player/station. Either way, they need more end game content to occupy top players and to alleviate the need for idle hands to find busy work.

Don't mind the son in the video. Father's day meant watching my kid. There was blockade set up by the strongest alliance on our server to protect one of their bases. So, I did the only logical thing I could think of, I tried to run it! Today I use some tactics/battle triangle/officer combinations to take down as many ships as I can. Some high level fights!

Topic Idea for you Streamers. Recently a player got banned on our server (#26) for what appears to be a yo mama joke in Galaxy Chat. This player is a notably the server’s most notorious griefers. Rather than allowing us to protect our miners with our attack ships, a cabal got him banned; I bet 99.5% of us never read the ToS. It would be interesting to hear the real story.

@obsidian gate event was supposed to be daily the extension of 12 hrs actually will cause me to wait longer for reset I think. Ooh and I want the enterprise god mode enabled. I'll even pitch in a good review and a youtube vid, of ODO playing constable of the galaxy. Protecter of the weak and enforcer of ROE. Someone really meant well but the extension was not necessary until the end. I couldnt compete for leaderboard with other having a head start.. QUARK get over here

@clear forum you should tell your dev team or managers that statistic don`t matter to show how good an event is or not. the statistic doesnt count the frustration of the player base. @obsidian gate thanks for the vid. the vid made it even more clear for me that scoply doesnt care about the community. the game is out for quite a while and still no major changes in refinery rates - you need to give us alot more than that, fluent progression in quest line and content, repair times (please dont say its a bullying issue since you can relocate at any given time plus shild), ship balancing (lol saladin - have one or be f.....), and major bugs like officer abilities etc.... Even packs still contain grade 2 parts and minerals when you are high level. i could continue about issues for hours, but none gets really solved @scoply. When are you gonna change that? Because this are some major issues that you should fix asap to engage all the people with the game. If you want to make money, which i completly understand, than be more creative. At the moment you (@scoply) fail the whole community.... Their will come a certain point when this things backfire.

Only came up because Pearly was saying Founder Servers were not accelerated
But I find that player a bit of a troll, I think anyone normal on a FNDR server knows that their general game play experience is not that of the other servers
It might be closer now, but it’s been through periods where stuff has been vastly different or sped up

The common officers that you get early in the game actually have some really useful abilities. Don't leave them behind! Continue upgrading them and they'll server you well into the 20s and beyond.

Like with any new game, STFC has it's bugs. A very expensive one seems to come in the form of the faction ship structure researches that become available as you level up your faction rep. This possible bug could cost your quite a hefty some of UC/Rares!

Warning to players, you can be attacked if your peace shield is up. No idea if its a bug or exploit, that remains to be seen, but it is a problem. Make sure to report it whenever it happens, do not just write it off to experience

i've had this happen to me thankfully prior to them stopping reimbursing players.. first hit my base wins.. should have had a shield 2nd hit comes in seconds later when I should be shielded breaks me and takes loot and several hits there after until drained all in the period auto shield should have been up. Thankfully support agreed it should not have happened and I got my RSS back at that time but anyone having this now wouldn't get made whole for a game bug 😦

Scopley have confirmed it is possible for me to have a visual effect of having the shield up, without it actually being up to the rest of the players on the server. Now that is pretty game breaking if you ask me, but at least they know about it and are trying to fix.

Visual effects are one thing (they are a big issue but separate) but the server knows you have been attacked, and that you should have an auto shield. So When another client trys to initiate an attack the server should be going no target is shielded. Almost of of this stuff is server side, what you see is rendered by the client sure and bugs in that suck big time, but the server side and logic should be cast iron, it clearly isnt and the server is allowing attacks that its own logic dictates should be denied

I actually think this is what Panic would consider one of his biggest achievements in the time spent thus far. 😬
You've become an icon to the player base that can be considered an impartial third party, furthering the trust between you and them and as such indirectly towards Scopely as well. 👍
Panic's intention in my experience has been and is still, to grow the community and give it the tools it needs to be informed, to be heard and to share experiences amongst each other.
Prime example of this being this exact video. Absolutely unbiased in every way, shape and form. 😄
Of course this does mean that his time cannot be absolutely dedicated to talking on discord, reviewing CS-replies and escalating each and every verdict.. which is something not everyone agrees with. 😕
As for Customer Support, whilst I have to speak from experience that the use of templates is an undeniable asset that simply must be employed to keep response times in check; their customization of said templates could do with improvement.
That aside, the information that's supplied to Customer Support simply isn't 100% accurate and that's something that definitely has to be resolved moving forward. 💯
So yeah, there's a lot to agree with but I just wanted to point out that it's not a bad thing that so many people are reaching out to you - although we could do with a couple more Content Creators to ease your burden perhaps. 😂

The Franklin is a weird design choice. It was a warp 4 experimental ship. As a MACO centric ship it could have had the best weapons for its time but it should still be worse than more modern ships and much slower too. Odd choice here

@obsidian gate your latest video on customer support is spot on, you echoed the experiences of so many players I know, clearly demonstrate an issue on the game not "working as intended" and you get the same unhelpful canned response
@obsidian gate also to add on the previous video we have had incidents of people exploiting the report issue. The person goads players into saying something they shouldnt, they report them then they get a ban. The server had to come together to defend the person in question because the stuff that was said to upset them was disgusting. Support didnt look at both sides of conversation and while the other guy was in the wrong for swearing he did have a reason to be upset

Hey guys! I'm back producing videos again! RL has been super hectic, and it's such a good feeling to get something out the door for once! I feel like I've not published for months, even though it's only weeks. I'm no Deuce, but I was managing fortnightly at least. Anyhoo, so glad I can get this to you.
So in this video I address an issue that was pointed out to me last night. Stealth fix? Who knows, but the way trained fighters behave when another ship hits them has totally changed. Previously, if they were coming for your ship A and you hit it with ship B, it would disappear. No longer!!!
So how do you avoid these drains on your tritanium? Watch and learn!

ICYMI, Scopely insert a quiet, but important, new update to the game to help players get more resources. This will scale, as all reward dailies do, but getting access to more resources will start allowing players to advance quicker when it comes to needing regular resources for buildings, ships, etc.
Still need more UC though (events have improved to drop more of those).

While the Saladin is extremely strong, there are still ships that can take it down, especially Centurions. If you don't have Harrison it's vulnerabilities are still very, very real. How do you break that hold? Use Yuki!

A massive Category 5 storm is already hitting the islands below the states, and will start moving up the eastern seaboard. For any servers with North American players, I'm recommending safe/no kill zones be set up to help protect the community. Yes, its just a game, but these games are an escape from reality. Supposed to make life better. So, lets keep their accounts safe while millions go through this storm.

So, in the middle of the night (at least for some of us) the refinery broke! People were able to get unlimited refines due to a glitch that was "egregiously" exploited. In response, Scopely made a public announcement (which is good!) and acted on the situation.

How to use DISCORD AUDIO while playing STFC on mobile
This is a very quick video that will show you how to access audio channels in Discord, while playing STFC on your phone.
I've suggested using audio in a number of situations, but many folks aren't familiar with Discord, so my hope is that this short video will help.
Using Discord Audio can make your alliance substantially more effective in a number of areas, but especially when raiding or trying to coordinate during Armada events. Hope you enjoy!

A new series to the channel that for now will run monthly, the STFC Drydock series. Things in game we want the Devs to change within the next month through maintenance/updates. I'm picking the first one! What I would like to see adjusted is a continued ability to use the Loyalty Boxes in the faction store to allow us to obtain officer badges!
Remember, this needs your support and a big push from the community to be effective!
