@shrewd totem i already suggested before, change PvP event to damage dealt scoring like the Separatist event and no point lose so everyone can score points and get rewards regardless how strong their ships are.
Scoring based on ship destroyed only means the strongest players win all the time, if Scopely really want to make money, they can entice players to buy recruit packs. Adding extra bonus points for using certain officers as captain.

The event has disappeared for me as well, and I have reported this in a chat. I was using burning to earn damage on the heavy transports -- I find that far more time and cost efficient, but it's a lot harder to track.

If PVP was structured like the Chance to Shine, were point bonuses were applied to like ships/levels and limited to certain systems, I think that would be fun. Getting 900x points for using cheap to repair ships was A+. Using a unique crew was a nice challenge too

One gold medal gets you 300k points. A 33 hostile gets you 21 points. That's 15k odd hostiles needed to make up for a single gold medal - the out-of-band times are completely irrelevant for LB, they're only there because scopely can't code their way out of a wet paper bag and the leaderboards didn't handle ties with identical scores.

@real bluff The problem isn't just the events, it's the monotony. I really liked the armada alliance one, but after so many repetitions it is becoming very stale. The solo events lost their shine half way through the first day. Variety is what we need, and more of it. Who thought running the same thing 16x24h in the space of 30days would be enjoyable?

But I do agree with Imperial. Events getting too repetitive, too stale and not interesting to do anymore. Borg arc I really enjoyed. It was new. Since then each arc imo has just gone downhill and I tend to do things as quickly as possible so I can leave game alone

All this stuff in the game sitting there untouched or not bothered with because players have progressed past them or they dont have anything to do with day to day play. So many 2* mines left empty because after level 20 it isnt needed any more. Make research or buildings need that material and make it worth mining again if you want to leave it in the game.

also, eveeryone who says they have rss shortages, can easily farm 2* rss and tier up ships for scrapping and 3* RSS

Thats why they need to do something about the 2* systems they are empty. Ive explored every area outside of the darkspace because my level is too low. Ive done all the faction missions other then dailies and events there isn't anything else to do in the game and we keep getting shoddy arcs like this one. The only thing keeping me playing is my alliance and the laugh we have. They need to work on the 3 main factions more

Remove the level buffer on mines so anyone can be hit. But make the main pvp in power brackets of 500k or something like that

No not traders. You mean the Klingon Invaders 😂 It’s only anomaly hostiles or the invaders that will count for the distinguished event.

The good news is not too many but the real die hards will do that kind of grinding so you won't have much competition. If an avatar and some lat is really that important, thats what you'll have to do. No amount of complaints here is going to fix it now. It is what it is, and what it is, is Scopely. You should expect this kind of thing at this point.

You are right, I agree with you. One thing I've learned from playing this game well over a year is if it can go wrong it will, and you just gotta roll with it.
Can't speak for other servers, but on mine 90% of the players are happy as can be, because all they do is mine all day long, so they didn't have to lift a finger and still got all the solo awards.

@fierce night It is just a game. If it bugs you really hard, write a support ticket, would be my suggestion. Has more chances of achieving real change than smashing keys on this discord, I believe.

A couple of gold medals is good. I think that's very generous actually, for that part of the event.
However, the leaderboard is frozen. In Asia Pacific that means the event crashed before a lot of people had the chance to score anything. But those few who started at 3am got a massive boost.
I haven't been able to get on much all day, so it is good for me. I managed to get onto the board, but quite honestly every time I pull a chest or change systems the game crashes. My phone crashed actually.
No idea if this is the game or what, but yeah.

having the battlepass events be simple is one thing, but we've gone 3 weeks without a bigger "AMS" event. I do like the PVE events they added (I hope they are kept at some level go forward, along with the continue to fine-tune the flash events as a once a month thing), but need to sprinkle a little more in.

@heavy cradle actually according to Google analytics peak web usage time is between 9am and Noon, gradually declining until about 7pm. That makes event launch times exactly during peak hours for the entire United States.
I'm sure scopely knows this and actually planned it this way to get maximum online participation early on in events...we are their beta testers afterall.

@round wren winning and losing doesn't matter and repairs are cheap. The stella event is milestones so that's cool. The discovery one is going to be won by whomever has the most time to send the ship back more often. I usually rank high on the discovery PVP even though I NEVER win a battle. Use Vamet as captain. 2 points per trip.

I would just like to say that I'm very happy with the Stella PvP event. The rewards are great. I just saved myself 3 days on upgrading my Stella, so I'll be able to scrap it in 3 days instead of 6.
I feel like the Discovery PvP solo milestone event could give more comparable rewards, though. Getting just the spore drive components and nothing else is pretty boring. Dilithium would be very welcome.

the Discovery PVP event needs another breakpoint for 34/35+. a level 30/31 vs a lvl 37 is going to go exactly how you expect.

if an officer ability drains the shield, Vemet doesn't work. It only counts if a weapon attack drains the shields, which is really unfortunate.

love playing a 'real time' as advertised pvp game where the ships are so lagged on the screen they do not show their actual location, same with the player ships, see one on screen beside you, it is more likely really on the other side of the system and that high level ship you are trying to avoid you see on the other side of the system, is right beside you

PvP definitely needs an overhaul. It was necessary for such a wide spread but it isn’t any longer.

That's the part I don't get. They got it partially right. As a lvl 26 I have to be in Risette or Cada-X, along with players up to lvl 29(?). Why not do that for similar ranges as well for higher levels? I'm not getting jumped by 40+ even though the normal PvP ranges allow them to attack me.

Timing matters - from 5-7pm there were lots of players entering to get solo event done, some using vemet to get easy points quickly. That was the best time to do it - all i can see now are whales going hunting, and groups of smaller ships win trading that run away if you go near.

They have raised the courtesy shields from 5 to 10 minutes, raised base strength by 10x, provided more free shields, lowered the cost of shields in the alliance store and started providing shields after maintenance
