batman is right. we have NO idea what the tribble conversion rate is in the recruit chest. although, i do suspect @abstract gate is partially right, i bet it's a refinery scaled item, 1 shard for 10k tribbles 2 shards for 50k tribbles 3 shards for 150k or something to that effect... i DO NOT believe you can get it for free out of the recruit box. buti also believe it's going to be added to ultra recruit chest before too long as well. alongside the other borg officers.
the ultra recruit chest is due for an overhaul. it's been since pike was released the last time it was "changed up"

that's still EXTREMELY luckyk, but that means 15 chances.... 13 of them were tribbles, (what are the odds of that) andte last 2 chances were 55k, so that could be the 20k and the 35k... for the last 2 chances

ya know i still am not gonna complain about the 'event' HOWEVER, if you wantd to keep it ACTUALLY fair excluding luck, you coulda made the small refinery NOT able to pay out 150 on the first pull. so EVERYONE woulda had to wait for the 2nd pull to get to the mid refinery. i'm ok with the luck within the chests.... but to get someone an entire extra refinery just basically won the event for those folks.

It's designed for multiple researches to complete I'd say, which is no different to most of my experience in doing the old power based research and station upgrade events where you'd dump heaps of resources and speedups to maybe get through 2 milestones 🙄
This change brings in a clear points system with certainty on what you'll achieve, without having to run to LCARS to check the points value, and I would say it's absolutely more achievable at my level as the power system really didn't scale with level well 🤷♂️

Before the combat update in December, Harrison essentially guaranteed a win if on a sally. The big gun hit with ignoring a large amount of the shield would cause significant damage to a higher power explorer such as a cent
If it hit critical, my Cent would be wiped out in one hit
The combat update increased hull for the cent and other ships, so Harrison could still do massive damage, but you can recover

@proud solar 1) you can still mine in hostile space, just needs a little more work
2) if nothing else you should be mining tritanium like a boss. You might not be able to finish all milestones, but I'd expect most of it and then you'll be safer bet to finish the main event.
3) asking alliance and GC can help too, I'll donate my crystal if someone really needs it (I'm just mining, I'll finish easy)
