Latinum is good for winning limited time ship upgrade events. Ship xp is cheap when buying large amounts

They boost you. For kumari or battleship you want as much attack down below as possible. North star you want as much health on the ship as possible(boosts mining rate )

@fickle chasm If hitting the boss with both your ship doesn't manage to kill it and you are just doing it to complete event solo, I found that stripping shield off a boss to be folliwed by faction ship was not worth it for my kumak setup. Kumari only managed to give me 1mil point and legionary with or without the help gave the same points. could very well be because my kumari and legionary are tier 4. Not sure if the kumak(cap)+ nero+ T'lan setup would be useful on you mayflower. let me know if you try it.

@inner cave 👆 read again. I said abilities don't matter and stats should be pumped as much as possible. for kumak setup all three stats instead of just one being equally high is better as kumak will buff all.

I’ve found boosting attack on a battleship is better than all three stats as def is a bit pointless

I did try the balanced approach but found all out attack worked better for me and my officer lvls

it is situational, if battle don't last long all in for attack otherwise a longer battle will benefit more from all stats particularly when a slight increase in health bonus on a battle ship will boost the hull health alot more than the same increase to attack might increase damage comparitively.

Have only had 1 drop from 30-32’s same for bortas and centurion (obviously hitting appropriate faction ships). That was doing all the faction daily thing that we had a while back. In fact I’ve had 10 in total for centurion and that’s me using rom to do fed and Klingon dailies.

you have to find a balance between difficulty and volume. L32-34 fed explorers are probably your best bet.

Have you tried with Yuki? I'm using it kumari vs battleship and the shield is stripped on round 5, then battle last for about 20 rounds total

Well I have Lnar at 75% weapons increase shame he’s not working for me
My Bortas has 90% attack stats so with Lnar I should be getting close to 150% weapons increase but he’s not even activating

the bigger problem will be faction hunt... last one was 76x32 of each faction, your Kumari might be able to get 20-22 in one run so the same amount of repairs but add warp times and grinding and it's annoying to say the least

key to mining events is tritanium. You need to mine some g3 but have one to two ships mining trit constantly

I still think this is a continuation of stupidity by Scopely. This would’ve been a great tool for f2p players a chance to catch up and close the gap on the deep pockets.
If they don’t provide ways of balancing the game and have it remain competitive, it won’t even survive to two years.

@grim inlet My Franklin is Tier 5 and useful, and cost me nothing. I can do my first daily with it in one run (50 level 15+s) and the second in 10 trips (20 level 28+s). Is it a PITA to upgrade, yes, but it is possible to grind it to a point where it starts to become useful.

I messaged your help. I submitted a ticket. I reached a milestone in a latinum event. Went to collect and game froze. I screenshots the freeze. I had to restart the app. The event shows my reward was claimed. Yet I check my inventory if unc ore ( one of the rewards) and surprise! I received no reward. I submitted this all in a ticket and do you know what I was told? “ we have no way of knowing what your uncommon refined ore amount was to the claiming of said reward so we cannot issue any compensation@

It is capped at Tier 5 - Warp range 19 but if you have Scotty then you have 24 warp range.

if he is, yes, of course the ship will have a warp range of 24 (if scotty is maxed) I'm using it now in this fashion. But according to in game display, it says that when I complete the Tier 5 (MK6) engines it will boost warp range to 24...

How many parts do you need to upgrade the warp engine? I think the cap is just the amount of parts being offered in the store which gets you to tier 5. Even refining latinum won’t get you nearly enough parts and since it’s every 22 hours for a few hundred at most, it would take quite a while to get the parts you need.

If you're lucky you can find a lat node you can mine around 9k/hr

I just want to say that I am really disappointed that Scopely has decided to make this a p2p event and thus turning the game into a p2p game. You should have stated in the description of the game in the play store that your intent was to make this a game in which you had to spend money or not get many of the newest stuff being offered. Northstar is only available if you pay for it and so is this new Ferengi miner. To think of all the time I wasted playing this game, just for Scopely to say FU.

You dont even need the new ship to participate in the events (2 of them, yes). In fact, ur better off just forgetting the new ship entirely and focus on mining g3 mats. Both g3 and lat give same amount of points. And most players can mine g3 faster. The new ship is pointless

- Alliance and Mining Event is faster with G3 mining and everyone already does that.
- The new ship is 20 USD. And looks like a one trick pony promising to give 150/day to someone who will pay a ton a cash. Not so bad.

The event to get it for free started the same time it went on sale, the only difference between the paid players and the f2p was whether you got it at the start of the week or the end

The full NS was available in one event. You're misremembering or confusing it with the jelly. There were a large amount of blueprints available the first day of the event then a decreased amount through the rest of the week, but as long as you completed the event without missing a day you had it by the end

That's right, everyone complained about being a few blueprints short. same thing happened with the northstar though. the full set was supposed to be available but most of the missions that gave blueprints either didn't give them, or didn't exist until later. There was a huge uproar about folks who paid bullying around with the northstar while everyone else was left a handful of blueprints short.
Either way, this ship just isn't worth caring about at the moment.

But you wouldn't know you couldn't complete it, until you baught all the packs, and assumed it would be enough to complete the event... Talk about baiting the proverbial hook. The solo leaderboard event ops level bound has been changed. I see lvl 28-31 in mine. and out lvl 31+ alliance members have different solo leaderboard. Scopely should really mention these things!

Also the dvor ship need a little buff for lat mining. the base mining is additive to ship's lat speed ability. which means at tier 9 (if the mining upgrade got to 500%) and lvl 45 it will be mining at 22.5k/h in suliban. And that is max. at tier 5 the daily required max amount is 128.5k and one needs 12.5hour of daily lat mining to get the max lat. would assume the same at tier 9.
although the amount one gets if mined max lat each day is nice. constantly mining lat for the whole day everyday is boring and mind numbing. a faster rate will reduce the mine time and since max lat is walled with a cooldown it shouldn't be gamebreaking or anything such.

FInal Answer - This latest update blows ass. Touted as supposed to help the smaller player... But PAY wall only for the help. The ship, by most accounts sucks overall. No Ferengi assist officers to assist with a Ferengi Ship. This update has caused sooooo many glitches and server instability it is beyond trying to mention the issues involved with that. The free chest everyone was to get of raw Lat, 90% on my server never got, probably won't get. Server in an uproar as to how to approach the D'Vor related to what is acceptable RoE. What a freakin' mess. Login daily for special rewards - not seen one yet. Thanks Scopley for causing more issues and chaos. I could go on but choose not to.

Maybe if we're really lucky they'll make a ship next time that gets event points by staying docked at the station. That way it can eat up a docking port and you only get to admire it without actually being able to use it for anything.

I noticed the Solo Leaderboard that I’m in caps at Level 31 Players.
Anyone know if this is a permanent change or just for the week?
Would be nice to not be in all future mining leaderboard events with a Level 39 player who has 4x maxed Antares... 😂

Yep. Alliance Gold Trophy’s mean nothing for this event. Not going to earn 400K for them. Just another screw up from Scopely. The company that rolls out a glitched update and refuses to give anything for compensation.

and before any of you buy it I might suggest it is not worth it to max this ship out :P at max tier and lvl 45 in the best possible node in Suliban it should mine abt 22-24k/ hr per my calculation :P It is probably better at lowest tier as refine rate is not as insane.
and for a perspective, tier 1 lvl 5 should mine at 10k/h in any lvl 31 rich node. and you can reach those nodes by relocating there or any of its adjacent systems. considering thatnthe raw amount needed to refine doubles at tier 5. at tier 9 it should be 3-4x than at tier 1.
