@rapid sky the difference is when I had chen on by mistake my shield depleted at round 17/21. With tlan it doesn't deplete at all, so my hull takes significantly less damage ๐

Could also try swapping Cadet Kirk with Intructor Spock. While Kirk's 20% bonus weapon damage is nice on a ship with high base damage, e.g. Saladin, it's rubbish on Franklin when the base is so low and the swarm multiplier is in the thousands of percent anyway.

Well Kirk's +20% isn't additive to base values, I'm not sure exactly how it is calculated and I haven't tried it on the Franklin as I don't use it either, but he might not be so useless

My sally small gun goes from ~67-68K to 76-79K, the big gun, from 218-220K to 238K-245K
and that's with about 80% attack bonus from officers and all available research at 28 done (which is like +200% or so)

Did a quick test. When attacking Swarm Kirk increased damage by about 200 per attack on average attack of 27700. So the average went up to about 27900.

much better to use Uhura instead of cadet kirk. Increase in accuracy is way more effective at least till Franklin tier 5-6 due to low accuracy
with Uhura rather than cadet. Kirk, my tier 5.5 Franklin does about 10-14% more damage after mitigation. tested it just on lvl 22 swarm. higher level swarm needs checking.

@abstract gate the dailies and events are set up in a way that presumes you have the Franklin tiered and leveled up to the max level revelant to your ops level. For the first event it made zero sense, makes a little bit more sense now people have had a chance to get and level the ship slightly. The grind curve is too steep though imo

Mine is t6, found Yan'agh, Mara (cap) Gorkon, worked best for me i'm lvl 32 and can only do Swarm Watcher as Daily and can't kill a lvl 32 for the Heroic event so i'm with you on this. If they increased the drop rate from Hostiles i'd be more incline to grind it out. Nice talking to you i'm off for a while.

here's a bit of feedback... limit access to 3* nodes to players over level 18 or 19. you have players on nodes who are nowhere close to refining the materials and players who need the rss who can't hit them off 0'd nodes or over their protected cargo limits... especially during mining events

fo those that follow ROE there's a big difference. A non-mining crew gathers far less resources so it occupies the node for far longer before it goes to zero. For other people it means they can't use the node, for the (somewhat)mining player it means they can go to bed and stay on the node all night without being hit or having to wake up in the middle of the night to refresh it. On our server we call this passive mining. Some groups have updated their ROE to include passive miners as violaters. If you're not "actively" mining, you don't deserve the node. There are few enough nodes as it is, people are being rude by occupying a single node for 10 hours without ever having to touch their ships. It's possible to fully optimize 2 ships, and mostly optimize 3 to get all the materials you need for dailies and the refinery. If you are not doing this, you are just taking up space and will be removed.

Yeah our server tried that, it was pure chaos and mass exodus ensued rather quickly.
mining for 10 seconds before being hit is not fun.
babysitting your miners for 2 hours is not fun
respecting your fellow players and chatting (diplomacy/ROE) IS fun. ROE encourages chat which creates bonds between players and makes the server a happier place.
Random and rampant miner killing creates animosity and stress and hurts the server.
"I play how I want" tends to get you KOS'd by the entire server.

@craggy leaf our server skipped 4 through 2 and went straight to 1, took only a couple weeks. it's evolved slighty over time getting closer to 2 but still pretty firmly in 1 for the moment. Also had lots of anarchy until very recently. People seem to have gotten bored of the constant miner slaughter, still a few who do it but not nearly as bad as it was only a month or two ago.

A 300k valk is also a tier higher than a 300k Kumari which means itโs damage per round stat is higher. People put way to much emphasis on the total power stat and donโt seem to look at the individual components.

There is a small bug, which I have a fix for, and will be applied when thing quieten down. As a work around, drop the g/c/s "tab type" and your search will work. We only left it in there for those who were use to using it on another bot that no longer exists.

If you saw the flash message, there are daily solos for swarm and, from today, mining. They go hand in hand with your dailies anyhow. Maybe they go faster with some research?
As for the next event after this 9 day event. I hope for separatist, faction hunting or act of war. Personally the last one would be brilliant, more special officers.

1 tech seems to count for 4k-5k points so about 4 of them needed.

Yeah which is how I calculated the amount of speedups needed but it was a rough estimation, I don't think 60hrs is realistic unless some of them start giving more than 5-6K

@violet fable the trouble with doing that is some states have started considering purchases in games like this to be a form of gambling, and if that's illegal in your state you could have some trouble.

correct. the assumption of 15hrs average is where the math gets wonky. many of the ones i did were around 10 hrs.
and they all seem to give different point values, no idea how that works out, i remember seeing some than gave 5600 points and some that gave 4k
The first tech i completed gave me 3/4 tiers completed, didn't look at the point value at the time.
I'm assuming longer research time=more points.

I love my neutral ships vs the level 26s as well as the other neutral ships. They gain an extra bonus on top of the triangle bonus they get.
I use my Vahk against Sallys all day long. Now there comes a point that the sally will break the triangle. But. It still is effective

Only way to have a big Franklin outside of thousands of hours of grinding was to buy every offer available, and thatโs nice if you can get away with it , but I donโt live in my parents basement and I work hard for my money and even though I do buy in game Iโve yet to spend a hundo on anything and do not intend to.

I think I get about 13k a day from the swarm dailies. But to upgrade the Franklin from t6 to t7 at the moment I need 2.4 million.
Therefore it will likely stay parked in the ship hangar. I use the Centurion for swarms instead.
