but thats standard they add stuff you cant get you spend hard earned tokens on it and have nothing to show for it... then later they will dangle paid for packs in front of you to tempt you buy, and if we are super super lucky we may get other events at some point and eventually in a year or so you may get the ships/officers 😃

I suspect they had planned the refinery event all along. Remember they had a reason for not putting it at the end of the mining event.
They knew it was coming so they knew it would add to the event but from a players point of view who didn't know it was coming it was an epic fail.
If the players knew beforehand then yes it would ruin the surprise but at least they could have planned for it.
I think the main strategy of this games seems to be plan for everything that could happen

It doesn't make much sense, mining events suck but the refinery at the end of one makes sense and make it worth while. This looked more like desperation even if it was planned.

I was lucky I stocked up 300k G3 Gas, Ore and Crystal each

I just bought the 24k option every 10 hrs

So I had a clog up of G3 that cannot be spent

I mean I spend at max 2.5k per day for each type

I mine at lest 8.75k per day for dailies. Then dailies give their own reward too

@abstract gate very few participating on my server either. The rewards just aren’t worth the repairs. With last event it was basically a kill-trading exercise but the rewards were good and you could do a bit of testing with your mom-Vemet ship.

On the Bonus refinery i was getting in the 40's range for uncommon and once got 10 rare gas as well. The normal refining on 3 * i was getting 4 common and 4 uncommon

I just got to 20 to get the 3* bonuses and my normal refining is very poor for 3*.

At 20 it is very poor but then you need very little...at 30 it's still very poor but you need very much. I feel your pain but if you think it's bad now you are in for a major let down in about 6lvls

Don't get me wrong, I love blasting Scopely as much as the next guy, and it's probably the first time I say something positive about them, but I think they got it right this time (except for the NA server delay, which they compensated us for with extra time).

My first reaction was, indeed, "lame - just tokens?" But now I think this event got the rewards right: instead of giving us fixed resources that might not be what we wanted/needed (last Act of War event I ended up donating a lot to the alliance), they gave us the tokens to choose what we wanted and when we wanted it. As a result, I wasted a lot less resources and shields, and I think this was the best event ever, at least since I started playing in January.

That's weird because my first day of the event started around 8 PM last Wednesday, and the first round lasted until Noon last Friday. Today is the 7th round of the event for me, and my server was in the late start group with the extended first day of the event.

I only know this because I put in a support ticket last Thursday at 1 PM to request a refund on an event purchase using 12k tokens.

another technique we see is where some in one alliance in particular like to tip off pests where they need nodes and miners of opposing alliances are over protection... helps them to appear to keep their hands clean... 😉

Well, nobody likes the mining event anymore cause it makes everyone all bitey and attacking things over the limited nodes and then there is the follow up wank fest of Violating the Gentleman's Agreement about mining, like everyone will actually follow the no hitting a miner unless it is on a 0 node or over the protected cargo.

And then the higher powered alliances get all super territorial and declare systems 'theirs', which makes doing the mining daily a chore.

4 months ago I loved mlning events, as it was not too crowded and rewards were very good for my level

Nowadays with server population raising both in amount and level those are a drag. There are literally dozen of ships in Willenia and Niawillen floating in space waiting for a free node, an OC or a 0 node

Basically they don't take into account the inflation, sometimes even lowering the rewards like last event with the awful store

and sometimes you have great event like the one where you could get 3500 rep for each faction, or 75 uc Ore and Gas (but no cryst because...) and even 150 the last two rounds.

It's like there is no guideline up there, and that the rewards are not though by people that actually play the game

@twilit imp Good Morning. I’m still requesting that more node be added. With the addition of player in my server we have even less spots that before. Also can the package be structured to reflect the lvl we are? I’m at lvl27 my envoy are all tier to max lvl and now I have a horizon which requires a massive amount of 3 crystals uncommon. Just to upgrade my engine and storage it will take 1100. So why give a package of 2 grade resource. I’m currently seating on 7209 of two grade crystals. Have not us it or I don’t even do the 2 grade refinery. I don’t even do 2 grade mining. So please instead of giving us grade 2 material can you increase the grade 3 material.

I was in an unknown alliance before moving up to other alliances. When I was lvl 16 I was in the top 10 for rss and still top 5 for pd.. If you know how to test if someone is active, you can do it effectivly and cheaply
