it makes around 2.8-2.9 points
tier 5 only one phaser upgrade

Arix burn is triggered by firing a weapon it can never happen at the start of a round. His burn only lasts for one round, the round its triggered on
So arix ability is useless?

Because of the cool downs set up in the event store I think that it’s only fair that you provide with the information on when the event store will close. Need to be able to determine if we can even obtain the officer of ship. Or just take away the cool down!.
has anyone noticed a difference in the points gained/boss attack in event? Something is off and I am only able to pull 1.2-2.2mil pts off per attack this go around. Last round I was getting 4.2mil points/boss attack consistently

Well Panic honestly seems like a genuine guy and if he worked for Riot in the past I feel he’s got some credentials even if I disagree with his methods, gotta give it a try
He’s said that information in centralised places with good feedback and weight behind it is easier to share and show to developers
then they file it in the circular "filing cabinet" on the floor 😛
So if the community expands its opinions properly in the right areas perhaps feedback gets better used than many things getting drowned out and lost on a chat system

Especially if the bottom line isn’t changed
Rev brought up a good point about statistics in his chat with Panic, if the feelings and opinions of the player base are negative player retention is impacted and the bottom line eventually will fall off..
So every voice should be added to appropriate places, not just Discord black hole

I do not know what your intent is, what I do know is how I and my fellow players (at least in my two alliance server 197, with barely 100 players) feel. You have very effectively SOURED the milk.
That event store and the event itself was presented and greeted with an abundance of excitement. Faction ship hacked or whatnot was exciting.
The actual implementation was so disappointing ( most diplomatic word I can find ) the combination of repair times, time spent, base resource costs make the event not worth participating in.
In my personal case at ops 28, we started at a ridiculous 108m damage for solo milestones. It has been lowered to 45m now, so I now can have more of life back by asking for less. Thank you for that. Sadly it doesn't matter. Asking me to spent half the time, half the repair time, half the resources. Doesn't make the event more exciting, doesn't make me look forward to participating in it.
The upfront cost of doing the event is now expected to be recouped by buying it entirely from the event store. In my humble opinion the player base can turn again if scopely reimburses the players up front by rewarding players with repair speed ups and base resources up front. Leaving the event store as a pure profit side, instead of a "refund" place for doing the special event.
How long is the entire event running for? i know the alliance leaderboard is for 7 days but does the event run out then too? watching a guy on youtube talk about the event and he mentions its on for 30 days

I have only touched upon the solo milestones, the solo and alliance leader board, and the PvP rewards also need adjustment, but honestly if the solo milestone event rewards are the event foundation if is viewed as not worth it none of the events you're running that go with it will move forward.

I have a Question: Did anyone had problems with the mission mining 100,000 dilithium to donate? My mission counter started as soon as the ship leaved the mine, and when it arrived to the base, nothing was added. Thinking that was a separate conter (the rest all add when the ship arrived at the base). The Art. Int toldme that the amount was reached and showed a donate/ pospone screen. Hitting donate only shoed you do not have enought resources.

Hey, I was previously Klingon consort but already have the Bortas. I've been grinding my Fed rep and dropped off from consort Klingon.
However the Bortas pack has remained in my store. I'm now favoured by both fed and Klingon but the Saladin Pack has not arrived in my store? I've let it run overnight too for any reset etc.
Does anyone know what the requirements are for the Saladin pack to arrive in the store? I already have the Bortas so its faily pointless me getting the Bortas BP pack rofl.

I am getting 20m+ per boss kill with faction ships so I don’t know how you could kill 600 22s and 2 bosses and not be further along

Well something must be wrong with my scoring I’m level 29 and I killed two bosses and you can see I didn’t get much of a score for that

Amy shield damage will not count towards the points. Only hull

So I’m participating in the event to get some kind of rewards, but they make this event very uninteresting. After like a month of mining to have a boring event like this really feels like it has taken the steam out of a lot of people’s fun for the game

Yeah...there were refining events after the mining events before too...scopely's favourite trick is to move the goalposts without any warning or reasons given.
Expect nothing or less than nothing from them and they'll never disappoint you

As it stands rn the only way to get a hj ship is if there's a bonus purchase added towards the end of the event or the store stays open 4 days extra (and you buy about 10 of those 50€ bat'leth packs)

hey everyone, I want to let you know about a new part of the Act of War event that will be communicated in-game in a few minutes. The refinery will have 2x the output for all servers that collect 20,000 Bat’leth Tokens per player over the course of the event. Any Bat’leth tokens collected up to this point will also count.
The bonus refinery will consist of 1. An extra ‘bonus’ refinery module that only drops uncommon and rare materials. 2. An improved drop rate of materials using the original module
Servers that have completed their goal will be notified via an in-game pop-up. The extra refinery module will only be available during the event, so the earlier it gets unlocked, the longer you’ll have to use it. However, regardless of your server’s performance, everyone will have access to the bonus module on the last day of the event. The improved drop rate on the original refinery module will also become permanent after the end of the event.

Thanks for the share @sharp ibex and this is directed at game designer not you but there was zero math in there. Great you’re bringing up refinery. At this stage the lack of ability to level ships/buildings for weeks on end will make the game pointless pretty soon.

I've played plenty of games where you have to grind insane amounts to get stuff. Nothing has had the absurd RNG aspect of the refinery which blocks all aspects of gameplay unless you spend money. Want to research? Refine. Want to build? Refine. Want to upgrade ships..? Refine.

Great so our server (151) is full of inactives due to the game being neglected with bugs, now as a result the remaining players are punished as the active players input will never make up for the percentages.
This is a total travesty. We have called for a merger and asked for the inactives to he removed.
Now we are punished for something we've asked to be fixed.
I think Scopley really do want everybody to quit so they can move onto a less broken project 😡
They could have at least have some board that shows average token on a server......
so servers with inactive players have to work extra hard
So we don't even know if we have it or not..

As a 27 i'm earning 15k odd per day, for the entire event - and all that will decide this is how many lowbies and inactives the server has. Awful idea.
Number of tokens per active player is capped, there's no working extra hard...you got a dead server you're shit outta luck

The way the rewards have been nerfed for this event is ridiculous. It makes me think that profits went down during the last act of war because players prone to spending $ on this game were able to purchase resources, materials, and ship parts in the event store during the last Act Of War event....so Scopely decided the event store rewards were to "generous" that way this time around they don't see a dip in profits due to the event. All the while....the free-to-play players who can't afford to buy the store packs and would very much benefit from this event if the rewards were comparable to last time are the ones who's game experience is negatively impacted. Its greedy and immoral.
If I wasn't so invested in this game with time, $, and my alliance I would have stopped playing awhile ago due to reasons such as this..... 😕

your server needs to farm a total of users * 20k, to meet the requirement
But how can you know how many players are on a server and how many of those active actually play. I doubt there will be a lot server activating the bonus

No clue what to aim at 20k per person is such an unknown goal it could mean everyone active has to get 200k
They should count the average 20k per player....per player who is active at some point throughout the event....that way completely inactive players don't count

The event is not and should not have ever been linked to the poor refinery rate or changes to them. It's not replacing the sandwich at all.

Wonder what their count is for average? Is that every who paricipates in the event (so only actives who actually collect tokens), everyone above the level requirement to participate? Or does it count the hundreds or thousands of inactives/ below level 20s that have no chance to get tokens
I have been refining 3 batches at a time for 74 days of level 3 gas and have not gotten 1 rare gas. I submitted a ticket and the response I got was to buy packs. Thanks Scopely I didn't know that🤣
Actually, the way I read it was that servers that had over 20k in the Tokens from the event would get offered the refinery thing. My only question is isn't that really over doing it? There are some servers that have a lot of inactive players, and because of that, they may not be able to get the refinery event. But is that fair to the individual players in the server?

Call my reaction to the refinery announcement neutral to negative, @twilit imp. Why are we suddenly expected to hit a minimum for something that just showed up before? Particularly when there doesn't appear to be a way for anyone to actually know how close/far we are from getting the reward. Why not provide the bonus refinery as per usual and a super-duper bonus refinery for servers that hit the minimum?
The event is turning into a bust on numerous fronts, whether it's the rewards or this refinery change. The cost to participate is too high for too many players for too little in the way of rewards.
They come up with these events like everyone is max and active. Since our server started, one player has won every single event. In the first hour.

- Is the average based on higher level players or all? A: the average is based on active players in the server, but has been adjusted to take into account the fact that lower level players will not be collecting unless they level up.
- Will there be a progress tracker visible to players? A: no

@magic magnet on our server there were lower numbers than usual too on the pvp, because you could only hit certain levels in certain systems, so in a CRAZY act of self preservation, if that was your "target" system, you just stayed out of it. probably a flaw in how that one was enginnered lol it's not a bad event. pvp is thriving on my server. but this one was poorly engineered, cause peopel are just avoiding the system that they are a "target" in.

The way they explain how the game mechanics works is that pretty much everything works on a pseudo state
Kind of like when the lottery is drawn
which is exactly what they did with the repairs said they'd put it back and declared we were wrong when challenged about it
if you do something in a batch it pulls from the same group of numbers but if you do individual it keeps pulling from a new set of numbers
the problem is the way that they're doing things you don't have a finite set of numbers you're pulling from when you do larger batches the pool of numbers you're pulling from also gets larger there for your odds actually decrease

they're incredibly vague about how they do things but they do state that pretty much everything is based on a pseudo state in the game

The way that the algorithms work are like this I'll give you an example using loot chests
When you open up a single-loop chest based upon the level of the hostile or play your ship type that you killed determines what pool of numbers you want to pulling from for that particular loot chest possible reward
Like pulling a single ball in the lottery
If you go after a different level range hostile or a different kind of player ship you're pulling from a totally separate pile of numbers
if you continue to hit the same level range hostiles and the same player ship types and you accumulate more loot chests from that set of numbers
so when you open up the maximum batch of 50 chests that once you're pulling all 50 chests from the same set of numbers
Meaning your odds increase for every chest opened in that batch but only in that batch
if you open up something separately it opens up from a separate set of numbers or a different batch all together so you reset the algorithm
so for the batches if you get unlucky and pull a 1 you get that on all batches and get common but if you pull a 10 you get that on them all instead and get rares
With the refinery however it works slightly different because instead of having a finite number that you're pulling from each time that you increase the batch size you increase the overall number in that batch
another words the odds are the same for each individual piece of resource that's pulled instead of working from a finite batch of numbers
So basically you were re-rolling every single time
That's why it is possible to do the largest refinement amount and still wind up with no uncommons and no rares
And do the smallest refinement batch amount and wind up with 3 or 5
Your eyes do not increase by increasing the batch size
The only benefit that it truly presents in this game is time
so rather than getting 3 rolls you basically multiply one roll by 3
here's the funny thing it's not just the type of materials that you're getting but also the number of materials that you're getting that every single time that it rolls it is within a number range that resets each time
that's just lazy
It's like say rolling the dice to see each individual unit just see what rarity of resources you're going to get and then rolling the dice again to see how many of those resources you're going to get
And the second roll is contingent upon the first
then for multiple batches rather than rolling 3 dice they just multiply the dice by 3
I know you would actually get better odds if you multiplied
It's more like if it's a batch of 50,000 you're rolling 50,000 dice to see what resource type your get then you're rolling another 50,000 dice to see how many
That's how I odds work the more participants in something the lower the odds are of winning

You don't understand what odds are
unless you're saying you can only get the result once in mutiple batches
it's mainly sej 😛
If you were to throw one rotten apple into a batch of 50 apples your odds are 1 in 50 that you get the Apple
If you throw that rotten apple into a batch of 100 apples your odds are 1 in 100
When you increase your batch size you increase the batch size
Meaning you lower your odds
But instead of it being something tangible that you can actually touch each individual item in that batch has the odds of 1 in 50,000
you can only decrease your odds if you could only get the result once
Not accumulative like a tangible thing like an apple
it's like if you had a batch of apples and each apple was basically Schrodinger's cat both alive and dead at the same time
it's not stating that when you do a batch you are rolling for the total number know you are rolling each individual based upon the total number
So every unit is a reroll
So your eyes when it being like this for one item if there are two possibilities you have a fifty-fifty chance of getting the higher
If you have two items each item as a 50-50 chance which means your total odds of getting it go down to 25%
They do not stay at 50/50 because every item has a 50-50 chance there for your total odds get reduced in half
The more times you increase the number of iterations you reduce your odds
not sure how that lowers your odds then you still have the same odds it's just costing you way more
This is the entire concept behind gambling
the cost is relevant to your eyes because it is the direct correlation between them it's the value for whatever you're putting in that's what odds are

This is not the case because you cannot guarantee you're going to get something every single roll you have the same odds per roll therefore your total odds are reduced

If I flip it three times my chances of getting heads 3 times goes down to half of that
Either way the results are generally not good, but it was an helpful for me to understand the odds a bit better

so when you're talking about a large group happening all at one time you're talking about the overall odds of getting positive results

if I do a 3 batch refine I should get the same results over time compared to 3 1 batch refines but the 3 batch refines are much more expensive but they take less time

i've use the refinery all the time, and i regularly do 2 batches, all it ever does is do give you 4 rewards instead of 2

However given a set amount of time say maybe 10 days if you consistently everyday only did small or medium-sized batches your total number of uncommon and rare would increase over those who did just large batches
except that if you use an increased number of batches, you'll very quickly run out of raw matterial, and won't have really gained anything
And at the end of the day the people who did the smaller batches will be able to do more batches
Therefore your odds of getting a positive result being uncommon or rare materials decreases with larger batches if you're talking about total number not just getting them
