@reef harbor hello. Just a question. I’m at lvl20 and was offer the event package for the North Star but it does not offer rare crystal a key component to upgrade. Why offer a package with missing key items?

yep. After I bought 3 big packs and 1 little, they "rebalanced" and suddenly ships I could take hits from can kill it. They sold a ton of NS packs just to gut the investment by making other ships stronger. It was a raw deal... HOWEVER, I am in 3rd place with higher level people all around me in this event because the NS is so fast at mining.

@reef harbor the real fun comes when you hit lvl 24, get an ultra station pack(20mm par) to power through for the Kumari, and realize you need about 80mm par to get part way through. And that you must upgrade basically every warehouse, gen, and vault to 24 before shipyard unlocks.

To be fair... if people buy the pack a few times upgrade the ship and expect that buying the pack further will allow them ti further increase the ship that's a bit... well strange. There's no way for the pack to know how built your ship is.(prolly it goes by player level...) so yea... as with any payment results may vary depending on user.

@turbid spindle the problem is that when you have several package you expect to move up in tiers, the developer know what items or resources are need. If you pay for example $99, you expect to get what you need. But for example you need rare crystal to move the NS up. Now you don’t know that you need rare resources, because the developer don’t share any information with the player. So you trust that if you purchase the package you will get what you need, but that is not the case. You end up buying the package to then realize you don’t have rare material. So now you stuck with a lot of other resources that you can use because you are missing a key item. Information is key, if you know that the package don’t offer the items need you will not spend money on package.

Like a sandbox shipyard.... where you can build the ship to max and see what it takes.

@turbid spindle that is what I mean, I didn’t know what was need to move up even after looking on the internet for information. So trusting the developer I purchase the package and got me two tiers then purchase another and only got one tier because I’m missing rare resources. Now I’m stuck with a massive amount of resources that can not be use. Information is key.

@turbid spindle I’m not complaining, per se, what I am saying is that there is no transparency, which would be easy to achieve. When you go to upgrade your shipyard to 24, it tells you that you have to upgrade your dial vault to 24. So you go about that, which requires you to upgrade all the dil gens and warehouse - about 15MM par. Then just when you get to Dil vault 24, it adds the requirement to upgrade trit vault to 24 - another 15MM par and several days/boosts. Then, par vault, another 10MM par.
It would be really simple to plot this out online so people looking to buy packs would understand how far the pack will go and how long it is going to take.

Devils advocate- there is nothing in the TOS to say things need to be released at a certain time, they dont owe you anything. Sometimes luck works for you, sometimes against. From a commerical pov it makes sense to release them 1 by 1, spread the revenue out.

if your ops was already 20, iirc, all you had to do to get teh reward was to upgrade another building to 20 for it to register

I raised a support ticket in game, for what it's worth. But I think it's possible that the event is only for 26+, like I asked and got no reply. An alliance member level 29 had zero problems with event

Seems like the event is not going off smoothly. Even despite the challenges, it's a bit flawed. Essentially, it will reward the laziest of us in some ways. If you haven't worked on quests pretty much up until this point, get ready to start turning things in. You'll earn far more than someone who has been diligent about them.

I would have to kill 666,666 top hostiles. Am I missing something? Is this a joke?

It's 1 point per damage dealt...
So however much hull they have, that's how many points you get for destroying them
multiply that by 15 for the commanders
