Anyway of making the mission icon on the systems a link to the actual missions?
any chance that shield tokens could be changed, so that instead of activating say a 1, 4, 8, etc hour shield which would run out and leave u vulnerable. or you would waste if u attacked another player. like activating a 12 hour shield and an hour later loosing 11 hours of it by attacking someone.
Would it be possible to simply have a shield allowance (measured in hours), whereby whenever u have a 4 hour shield etc it increasing the allowance of available hours by whatever the token is. When u use up so many hours of shields it would also deduct that from your allowance of hours. That way when u activate a shield, it wold technically last for however many hours are in the allowance, without fail. or when u attack someone it would only use up the remaining 1 hour from the allowance u were on at that moment in time.
@hexed mountainly...can you add a the feature for when the 10 min shield is done in game. Also, can you add feature that allows admirals to identify alliances with so that players can’t attack (ie. blue) . Or know they are Naps
Also need a feature in the event the admiral goes AWOL and disappears. How do you ensure that the alliance can continue

I think you should be able to modify your bridge crew when you’re out of the station as long as they were on the ship
You sell us “Prime Research” packs for crystal, gas and ore to give us +1 to refine.... which does absolutely jack sh**. It would’ve made more sense to allow players to refine twice in a 10 hour period than give us this fake +1 refine. Or how about instead ensuring that we actually receive even a single uncommon when we do a refine. How does it make sense to you that we do a max refine and still get zero uncommons 4 max refines in a row???
Suggest that the faction dailies for hostiles be transformed into something similar to the “Faction Hunt” event... rather than killing 25 of a certain level, give us a point system where we have additional targets.
There’s a bottleneck every time I try and hunt lvl 31 Roms... 4-5 players hunting the same lvl slows it down for all of us.
You should creat some npc-stations for pve RAID's. That Player can get some Ressource.

today refinary almost have no impact in game the anount of uncomon and rare ore people.use come for events, pack , loyal, mission, thats is weird, was suposo to the main incoming to the refine resorce was coming from the refinary. so pls repair it.. make it do more resoreses like have a pack there to make uncomon... a pack to mack rare other to mack comon.. and make the timer betwen the use it lower... as the refine is now its the lower impact bulding in the game every day i refine 2.days and get almost only comon resorces ok, i am unluck, i am a month to improve a part of my legionary almost all ore i have come from loyalt packs and still have way to much to come as i never get more than 4 uncomon ore.in refinary... but in events i get way more have 7 in the actual event
what i am saiing is thw refinarybis way to nerfing his own objective.

Show where different raw materials are. I.e. rawcrystal, gas and ore, Then show grades 2, 3, 4.....! Find extremely difficult to find this stuff after I’ve already searched systems. Any chance you could change this

Just had a #1 top member leave and all of his contributions disappeared , I asked him if he got them back and he said no. It was millions of contributions and I was just wondering where did they actually go ? RSS space . Lol

@sacred laurel the contributions stay within the alliance, however, since the player is no longer in the alliance, their name is not listed.
you can confirm by adding up the contributions per member against the total. you will see there is a disparity between the members added totals and what the alliance total is.
Hi, I don't know if it has already been proposed but it would be useful an inactivity timer placed on the screen of the alliance next to each member so as to know how long everyone has not connected. thank you
I'll second that to infinity and beyond. To see inactives, I manually type out our rooster every few weeks, and have a perl program to compare the two lists, 0 power change in a month is a pretty good indication of 0 activity ..

Be great to be able to report bullies I know you can block people of course. Yet we have a few people in our server who need a ban. Especially when we come together as a community to show support and one ignorant moment ruins it.

Perhaps it has being suggested again but visually each dock can hold FIVE(5) ships and not just one.
So basically by checking the photo I provided, the ship is basically docking to the ones I add with the arrow. Like this two "teeth" kinda shaped thingies...
Around the docking platform there are five of those... Based on that, my suggestion is to make each dock, to hold five 5 ships, either different or the same ships.
@here trading uncommon and rare g3 materials in a npc station would improve players experience.
In example flying to specific npc stations, trading 100 uncommon ore or gas for 90 uncommon crystal in Kronos.
Flying to a station on sol and trade ore/crystal for gas.
Flying to Romulus and trade 100 gas/crystal for ore.
This could be linked on player lvl for amounts and have a daylie cooldown.
Lvl30: 100/d
Lvl31: 120/d
Lvl32: 130/d
...
In rator, morska and pjem could be Same stations for trading raw g3 materials.

In addition to the recent release of crew packs for Federation, Klingon & Nero, it would be good for other crew packs to be released. Blood & Honour, Glory in the Kill, Rom Patriots and Section 31. These new crews are slow to level up and such packs would be appreciated.

It'd be really nice to be able to convert blueprints of ships you'll never build for parts. Say, if you have two turas ships already and 104 excess turas blueprints, having the option to fuse them for ship parts would be really nice

Replace all NON-FACTION hostiles in faction space with FACTION hostiles.
So many totally useless systems. So much time wasted, esp. during the current event.
Actually, those non-faction hostiles are useful for the normal pve events
since there are only that many neutral systems at those level ranges
Considering the amount of faction hostiles that have to be killed everyday, those non-faction systems are a waste of space. There are entire categories of missing faction ships so that a few players can have non-faction hostiles. Put them in neutral space if you must, but get them out of faction space. Make dailies and events easier.
Also, Im wondering exactly how many "normal" pve events there have been.
Is it just the 1 hostile kill daily? Or have there been others.. recently?
well the ones we had recently for getting Franklin BPs, and before that the Battle For Glory one

Sort the attack levels out - how is it fair that someone who’s lvl 29 can attack someone who’s lvl 23
They have no chance to defend or attack back as at that lvl different they are far stronger

Fix pvp ranges after level 20. Level 39s should not be able to kill level 25s that don't even have faction ships yet, and station defenses are basically useless against these levels.
At the moment, the most valuable resource in the Star Trek Series is lacking a shop where it can be used , I thought a ferengi shop would be ideal ( as the big ears fellows lived to accumulate the stuff ) . I was stuck at some point with about 80k Latinum and nothing to spend it on

It isn't gambling if you can never win anything tangible. Refinery is part of game economy and "winnings" are all virtual.
It is gambling if anything that you get a random chance for is also purchaseable with real cash.

So here is an idea, given Dorian is bearing down on folks maybe give everyone a seven day shield token so if they need to they can shield up for a week... Would cost scopely nothing and would make a lot of people safer

Please allow alliance members to dock at each others stations. Can help with defence if being raided and woild allow u tp use ur own resources to repair at someone elses station without warping half way across the galaxy and back
I play server 18. We are having lots of players quit due to fustration with the lack of refined materials from the refinery and the fact that the higher the lvl you go the harder it is to get those refined ore, gas and Crystal. What I'd like to see is the refining doubled or even tripled. Yeah I know you just added a slot to refine estra materials but that slot cost tomuch to buy and most players can't afford to throw that much money into a game. It would be better to lower the prices or cut it into 4s where we can buy 4 19.99 packs instead of 99.99. If you done this then players would buy the packs.
Cut prices or split $100 pack into 4 $20 packs... hmm
proper math would be 5 packs.
So each pack have what? 1/5th of the mats needed for the research?

suggestions: pvp should be a flat +/- 2 levels or based on power. nodes should respawn on top of the miner a certain time after reaching 0 to do away with lvl 14s or ships you can't hit snoozing on nodes for hours.OR any ship on a node or in space is fair game but the limits only apply to bases.
How about .... letting us invite players to our server or a diagram of when such and such server is open? @austere sand

you can buy them in the alliance store. alliance events give tokens that can be used there. dailies give them as well.

Can you allow us to rearrange crew WITHIN a ship? I understand why I need to go back to the station to get an officer that is at the station. But, if they are already on the ship, it makes sense that I can swap them around in space. Just like a real ship. They aren't handcuffed to their chairs. Lol
Have a subscription service at a reasonable price instead of expensive packs... please. Make it optional for the f2p guys and have a similar reward to the elite monthly packs (but please include ship repair speedups)

How about making it so shields are additive and not overtaking? If I have 5 minutes left to a shield, and replenish it with an 8 hour shield, I should have 8 hours 5 minutes. Let shields accumulate instead of killing them altogether.
Also, make higher level systems ops gated. I shouldn't have to see a level 9 player mining 3* resources when they can't even refine them yet.
or make all mining nodes attackable regardless of level

Hi all, when will data be added to the routine mining events?
My survey ships are always so busy on 3* to complete the daily missions and the mining events that there simply are not enough hours in the day to also take my botany bay the 15 min 1 way warp into augment space to mine data. I haven't been able to in weeks and cannot progress on that side of the game.
It would be fantastic to use the botany bay for more than just the occasional augment event.

Stop allowing whales 8 levels higher than me from one-hitting me with horizons for 700+k resources despite having ships at home. I'm not going to buy packs to feed the whales more. I was seriously close to buying one today until horizons raped my corpse of a base while I was online. I'm inches from quitting this game due to the power imbalances

You're lucky it's only 700+k, I get one shotted by lvl 39 kvorts with all my most powerful ships home and they crush everything and ride off with over 2mil

Its not the level, its the ships. Anyone can max a horizon or faction miner, put Khan crew on the bridge and smash bases all day.
no, it's the level, a maxed level 26 horizon is vastly different from a maxed level 39 horizon.
there's a 13% damage bonus, plus all those layers of research.
plus hull bonus from hangar.
and all the foundry etc buildings, it adds up quickly.
What about doing a server leveling. Just take the highest level people and/or alliances and put them on server 1, then take the next highest remaining on server 2, and repeat until all the players have been rearranged. Also anyone who has not logged in for 30 days should have their base removed and then when they log in again it is randomly relocated.

@muted mortar all the survey ship power increasing research can be maxed out before 26, it's true that you get some extra from ops etc. but quite frankly if a level 26 wants to max a horizon it will still be super powerful...

Not sure has been posted: many dead alliances in the server have a common denominator: the admiral is inactive and stopped logging in. Simple suggested solution: after a “x” period of complete inactivity, the alliance goes from public (anyone can join) to private, unless admiral logs again and turns it public again. That’ll prevent new users joining dead alliances and missing one of the nicest things in this game. Opinions?
Right now, dead alliances are always resuscitated as older and active players leave them, leaving free spots and the cycle starts again
I don’t know if anyone else has a issue but my server has a big problem with not enough g3 ore spots all the lvl 26s and above take them and then a bunch of lvl 16s come in and keep it on a zero node the entire time and keep us lvl 20-25s in able to get a ore spot I haven’t been able to get a single bit of g3 ore in 2 weeks along with a lot of other players on server 17
This game is becoming unfun. You have to come up with a way to tell players they are being attacked when they are not on the game. We can not be on the game 24hrs a day. People have work, school and family.
Add base defensive units in addition to the current list of ships. Give the ships that are docked during battle at least 50% power increased. I was just attacked by a ship that was almost more power then my base with ships docked (base about 230000 and attacker about 194000).
Before you add new events, the developers new to get in the lab, correct these issues and make the game fun again.
And before you remind me that I can put up the peace shield, something life gets in the way and you forget to do that.

@vocal sandal so you fixated on the most minimal aspect of everything i mentioned there. Yes if a level 26 wants to spend the money to max out a horizon it will be powerful, but nowhere near as powerful as a level 39 horizon. 13% damage bonus plus 39% hull bonus plus 13% armor bonus plus 13% dodge bonus plus 13% deflection bonus. it's not "some extra" it's a lot of extra. there's simply no one-to-one comparison. A maxed out level 26 horizon may be able to smash a few bases but it has nowhere near the smashing potential that a level 39 horizon does. that's the point. and that's just horizons, we haven't even started on the ridiculousness of faction surveys.

Borg faction will be fun, and once the player choose Borg, he/she would be assimilated and become enemy to all other factions, so you dont have to worry for doing triple dailies 😅 just do Borg daily only 😅
you may or may not know, klingon/federation/romulan factions lock at 10,000,500 rep points, never go down from there, so you can lock all 3 at those numbers

dual faction is actually quite nice, my kumari (210k roughly) hits 25 lvl29 in one swipe, knocking out all 6 hostile dailies, so I get to bank those speedups ..
augment is independent of the other three, only goes positive thusfar
since borg assimilate anything they could be revealed via a series of missions, the ability to scan and see them. suddenly systems will have a borg hostile, and as the opposite of augment .. you only get more negative with borg (who gets 'friendly' with the borg anyway?) .. at different levels of negative you get borg vessles that attack you in any system .. but if you kill ?5? of the normal borg you get an extra prize if you choose to kill the motionless turtle .. gathering borg resources would permit borg credit to purchase blueprints to voyager, a new powerful explorer ship, and various officers from both the borg collective and the voyager crew, with abilites ranging from giving bonus to borg materials collected to the hollow doctor, able to enhance any ship's ability to destroy borg vessles (why make a faction specific ship again???) .. or something like that!

we've got 2 guys at those exact levels with maxed out ships that love to go head-to-head to test out officer setups.
26s can kill 39s from time to time but it requires highly optimized setups vs very poor setups.

Its a silly conversation in general. Silly to focus on the number 39. Biggest raider on my server is L35. What about 32-38? Hz with Joa/Khan can kick down doors all day long.

after every downtime, planned or not, every base in the galaxy should have an automatic 1 day shield applied (or at least 12 hrs). Its not fair to those that arent able to sit there for hours trying to log back in. <@&509691205798592532>
It would be a jerk move for players to spam the login button after downtime. And raid people, I'm sure it happens though.

The officer thing will eventually catch up to the game... Inevitability a player will max all offers and not be able to do compeditive events... Unless new ones are rolled out regularly... Mulitples would fix that.

Serious suggestion... is it possible to make the game a little more color-blind friendly? Not all colors, mainly just the hostile “red” triangles. It’s horrible in swarm systems, can’t see the triangles when they’re on top of a node in other systems; overall, just a daily addition to the struggle 🖖

As a way to make things equal for all players... plus give other players a chance... Once someone depletes a mine, the ship should either auto return to home OR that mine is relocated elsewhere in the system. It's really hard to get G3 items when players sit on it and it's depleted...

Some of the new changes in the latest update are pretty good... But the whole mining thing is one big issue Everyone has issues with

My server is pretty unique in that the players got together early on and created an RoE (Rules of Engagement) that the majority of the alliances follow. We still have a PvP group or two who prefer to play the game as designed and they still do well... but the bullying has been greatly reduced and players can complete their mining dailies. Admittedly, when I was first introduced to the concept, I thought it was a HORRIBLE idea. After all, this IS a PvP game! However, after playing this way for the last few months, I have found that I actually get a lot MORE out of my PvP game by playing this way. I would encourage other servers to do the same.

Yes agreed it's a PvP game... But it's still fun playing against the computer, running through missions etc. There's no point just attacking each other coz u get no where
Server 15 has ROE stated per alliance...
Every alliance has their own version of these player created rules. As an example, I will post ours. We chose to blend the RoE alongside PvP in ours:
Ship to Ship
OC hits against any player that is not on our NAP, MDP, or No Hit list are good.
Zero node hits against players that are not on our NAP, MDP, or No Hit list are good as long as a polite 5 minute warning is given.
For all players not in a top 100 alliance, PvP rules apply and all hits are good.
Base Hits
All hits to our bases may be defended and retaliated against.
There are to be no base hits against a top 26 alliance unless it is for retaliation over a hit against us.
Base hits against a player not in a top 26 alliance are fair.

IT's how the mechanic of the game works ... I played Nova Empire and their mechanic was when the mine was depleted or the miner maxed out, the ship would auto return to the starbase ... nice little set and forget...
@mint crest It does because there a LOT of others who will be on a zero that you can always bump off. Even better, if you give them the polite little warning before you bump them.. even the big players will generally call it a “good hit” and move on. So, you can mine in peace.
mind you though, their mining ships were easy to knock off mines unlike Faction miners here
it comes down to the agreements you have on your game server and the backroom politics you play

@mint crest to be completely fair I almost never hit miners unless by the generic RoE stuff most of the server agrees upon, we usually circulate mines within the alliance/partner alliances etc, there's a lot to it and each server is different, which is why I don't think there should be anything like an auto recall etc.
How is it against PvP rules? Like you could still hit miners mining.... I'm just suggesting for when it's a zero mine... If you free the mine, then someone else can come in and do their daily challenge mining... Get some resources... And be on their merry way

Here’s an idea for those G3 resources... How about allowing the refinery to turn G2 resources into G3? That’s another way to open up the mining and obtain what’s needed.

well honestly, the hit down/hit up rules should be altered as well. I believe if you are on node, you should be able to be hit. If we want to impose factors for lowers hitting up or hiighers hit down. De rate weapons or de rate shields. Nothing more aggravating than showing up to a system full of 14-20s all znode. Lol

would it be so difficult to add sorting for officers by their stats(attack defense and health) it would make it easier to do crew setups for things like kirk crew/north star etc. right now its painful to have to go to each individual officer to see if their one stat is higher then what you currently have
dear game administrators why don't you give the chance to stop the ships when they come into warp? a simple stop command and the ship stops at the next system to where it is.

The problem is because the command calls is immediately below the command find and therefore the typing error is easy.
I would like to be able to save Officer configurations that I use frequently.. Could add a tab in the “Assign Officer” section to accomplish this. There, you could create Officer sets for mining, PvP, NPC hitting, etc.. and then just use one tap to choose that set for use.
I like this new app update. Bookmarks is the best thing about it. I would make a future suggestion. Since it appears more of this game will be stored on the cloud, can something be done to reduce the amount of data that has to be saved on a device. I'm over 2GB just on data (not cache) on my Galaxy S9+. If I delete the data, I have to go through all the tutorial just to reload my game.
Next client update, please push daily objectives ready to be collected to the top of the list, or refrain from jumping back to the top after collecting one so you can remain focused on the area you were working in.

Add something at the top to show us how many Biomaterials we have before we commit to spending them when we tap a button. Would also be nice to be able to see how much we'll get before we commit to spending as well.
Something like a VIEW button to jump to another screen like the materials in this example. Note it has the raw materials listed at the top. Would work for biomaterials as well.
I'd like to see PM being a smaller screen either separately or a 2"X3" in the corner of the main game screen. So you can still interact with the game, and PM at the same time.
Ok seriously, the Biominerals should NOT show as a red notification for the refinery. That's super distracting, nobody uses the biominerals the same way as the Materials. Also, the Biominerals tab should be called, ya know, Biominerals? There's already a tab called Resources, having two tabs with the same name is just confusing

Haven't taken the update yet but the write-up sounds intensely promising. Instead of fixing non-broken graphics, actually making an effort to improve UI functionality is HUGE. Thank you, Scopely/DIGIT; I am actually excited to see these changes!
I really like the bookmark idea but it needs improvement. I would rather see a way to bookmark a player than to bookmark coordinates. Bookmarking a player's base coordinates is a temporary benefit at best. As soon as they relocate the bookmark is stale. We need a way to bookmark individual player profiles so we can find them quickly to restart a new private chat session. Finding players right now means scanning through the alliance leaderboard and then the alliance roster. And this only works for top 100 alliances.
Heres a new money making idea scopely, sell packs for alliance spots rather than have us waste hundreds of millions rss for one measly spot.. you could sell em single or bundles of 5/10 etc.. i know a few alliances that would gladly pay (pass around hat etc).
Also a refine all option be nice rather than clicking each x4 then again select which batch option
@austere sand @vast halo Can you please put serious work into placing an "Abort" button on the 5 second countdown to a ship when it is told to warp? This way we have a way of cancelling an accidental warp command? I know I've told the wrong ship to warp and realized it before it jumped, but had no way to cancel. Also, someone in my server just accidentally told one of his ships to do an 8 HOUR jump to a system. That's big oops. I know a lot of users have been begging for this feature. Also, maybe also look into giving a reward for completing ALL the Daily Goals (past just the point rewards). Thanks!

you could create an exchange rate from g2 rss to g3 rss,like 1k uncommon g2 rss= 100 uncommon g3,and 10k uncommon g2 = 1k uncommon g3,at a certain level you dont need g2 rss,and in this way, everyone could change their surplus g2 rss into something usable.it would help a lot of FtP players to evolve.

Level Balance Suggestions
1. to encourage players to shoot upwards, limiting the level a lower level can shoot at should be removed.
2. to reduce OP huge players from just Preaying on those far weeker than them selves, their ability to shoot lower levels should be limited to no more than the what the lower players ability to defend against given what can be expected on average for their strongest possible ship at their level.
3. Lower level players traveling to extremely higher zones, should start increase the attack window of those above them based on the required warp factor to reach the system they are in.
4. Lower level miners camping on a 0 node, should loose their level protection based on the number of minutes they have sat. example, a Level 14 sitting on a 0-node for X minutes could be hit by a higher and higher level, starting 5 minutes after reaching 0 node.
5. Lower level miners going over their Protected Cargo, should loose their level protection based on the number of minutes they have been OPL. example, a Level 14 OPL for XX minutes could be hit by a higher and higher level, starting 10 minutes after reaching OPL.
Uhhhh really want a way to actually exchange useless ship bps for more useful stuff...
Why not have the levels set to 5 or 6 above and below. Not fair a million plus ship can attack my station or my ships. If I am level 25 then I should be able to hit level 20 to 30. Level 31 plus should not be able to hit me as there is no way to defend against them

Here is a simple fit to the strong preying on the weak. Read the whole post before you say no. Allow a free for all system. A level 50 can attack a level 1. Easy to do right. Now set up a loot reward system based on levels. So in theory I would say if a level 50 attackes a level 1. They get 0% of the resources that a ship can carry. When a level 50 attacks a level 49. They get 95 % of the resources that the ship can carry.
You can take it one step further by increasing the power of the lower level by a percentage to make it cost more for damage repair to the higher level player. So again in theory if a level 50 attack a level 1. The level 1 power is increased by 100 %. When a level 50 attacks a level 49. The level 49 power is increased by 5 %

Another thought might be simple in concept but harder to implement. What if, if a miner was sitting on a zero'd mining node. An attack on it would simply bump it off --- it would float out to the side like in past updates before the auto-warp home was put back in. Should the player wish, they could attack that miner floating on the side, or leave it be. One thing i would not want to see would be a Vemet-induced ship hiding under the mine.
Would love to see the ability to hotkey / bookmark crew and ship set ups. Recall all ships and select a pre-saved ship and crew configuration.
i'd love to be able to have a fight with an alliance member, sort of like a duel. both parties agree and you can have fun testing different crews and ships against your friends
A battle simulator sort of option.... maybe one of the buildings in the base can enable that feature --- add in a prime upgrade needed to unlock 😛
Similarly, repair 2 or more ships simultaneously would be very appreciated. Even something worth a PRIME REPAIR TEAM research to unlock (Lvl 1 allows 2 repair teams, Lvl 2 allows 3 repair teams, etc.) the first Lvl 1 however, should likely be "pack-enabled". I'd gladly shell out for that one I think.
Suggestion:: Refineries need tweaking, no way processing 75k of materials only yields 10pcs, of common and 3 uncommon... SERIOUSLY???? 13 peices is all?? If the oil refineries did as bad a job as Scopely mineral refineries, I guess they'd have to sell packs too...
refineries should be compared to dice. the word refinery is the confusion part. it should be defined as the chance machine. you pay X raw input as funding to throw the dice twice per batch.
it is not gambling, because in gamblig you can get 0 as output. you always get something, depending on which of the chance cards that are virtually stapled to dice land face up, but don't try to get caught up in the cost to roll the dice vs the dice results. the chance cards are clearly shown, as is the cost per batch. I would argue as many others have done that some basic output per batch (like 1 rare, 4 uncommon, 8 common) added to the chance mechanism would be a huge improvement.

Change "Repair Speed Up Tokens" to "Ship Speed Up Tokens" so they can be used on ships being built or tiering up.
Issue: Moving a base into a system to easily raid others who are offline and run like a coward. Bases are massive and it would take weeks to prep and move. Idea: Make it where if a player raids a base. The raider can’t just magically move their base and hide. Block their base from being move for 48-72 hr. This will give the victim(s) time to retaliate if they choose.

The tier up of a ship should be handled in the shipyard and not take up a dock. If your going to tie up a resource it makes more sense to tie up the shipyard to prevent new builds instead of an active dock.

I’d like to see my own base’s rewards when I tap on it in system view to better help me decide when to turn on a peace shield.
I'd love to see more places to relocate to in 34+ faction space, more 3* material or lower the cost to upgrade, mining nodes that don't stop respawning, better refining rates, a more balanced PvP system that doesn't lend itself to bullying or harassment and last but not least customer service that actually seemed to care about the customer.

Bases under attack should send out a distress call to all alliance members and Scopely should send multiple push notifications to players devices.
It would be nice to lower the level to unlock the North Star. It’s quite a disadvantage at lvl 16 to be playing against other lvl 16’s that have them.
@deep sequoia its meant to be a paid ship. Only way you can get it is through Act of War but that's only if you play the long game. Or you just use your wallet.

@deep sequoia dude just skip the ns. Its a rss drain and it becomes obselete after you get the Kumari. Unless you are heading for Warp Range, don't pay for the NS, its not worth it.
Plus, only a T7+ NS is a powerful ship, before that it is pretty easy for high lvls to smack around.

It is about time their were restrictions and visible logging of when players change their names. It is abused by some alliances to ‘hide’ who they are, leave their alliance and then temporarily wreak havoc under a different name.
Just provide a log for each play that is visible by all so that we can see their previous names

i wouldn't mind seeing an alliance based PVE instanced event like Armadas. Like dungeons for alliance members with ship battles and possible high level resource rewards based on level of difficulty completed. Long time MMORPG player here, this could be extremely beneficial to player population.
Even Fleet Operations for multiple alliance player participation on a weekly rotation on some historic timeline battle scenarios.... maybe even a Kobayashi Maru?
It'd be nice to change the refinery where it would pump out a steady amount instead of all by chance. For instance, it would produce a certain amount of common and uncommon per refine period, collectable every 10 hours like usual. You would still need to mine raw to "feed" the refinery. Upon collection of the batch, you could still select different amounts to refine, with diminishing returns, just like the current system, but with more steady results.
So for example, you could select a low amount to refine over the 10 hour period, like the usual 1750, and it would generate 50 common, 5 uc, 12k would generate 60/8, 75k would return 80/10. Of course these numbers would be affected by your ops and thusly refinery level. Refinery could be changed to give a %bonus to the refine efficiency when you level it. Prime refineries could be adjusted to further this bonus. Even researches could be added to further the efficiency of refining.
Overall this would give a more organic feel to the refinery, and a sense of steady progression for everyone, and give a more satisfying reward for mining in general.
How about an 8 hour cooldown for the refinery? 6 would be even better.
Hello, I'm new here, but I've been very active on my server in terms of diplomacy. We are trying to create more friendly environment and to separate competitiveness from plain hostility. it occurred to some of us that one simple change in game would accomplish more than we can with all our deals between alliances. If a mining ship would automatically disconnect from a node upon its exhaustion, allowing it to respawn itself without a need for miner to be killed and avoiding hated node-blocking, a lot of hate between players would be avoided. At the same time it shouldn't affect game balance significantly.

Absolutely agree. A lot of game play is taken away when players argue over the validity of a zero node.
Time is better spent in game, then over Discord or event the native chat disputing the status of a node.

The last update was the best so far.
Their are so many restrictions on attacking players of certain levels I think we need one more. Any level ship on a level 3 node can be attacked. We are getting level 12 example, draining nodes and sitting their on a zero node with over cargo, and we can't clear them. Level 3 nodes are scarce enough. If the above isn't implemented then restrict level 16 and below from being able to use these nodes.

The node ejection has been suggested millions of times, seems its just another logical mechanic that will never be implemented 😔
fighting over nodes does not drive revenue, there's nothing to pay for here. Considering that mining is the least favorite aspect of this game, this should be a priority for enhancement. Yeah we got a few techs for it but they don't help the situation any, folks still sit on mines all day and camp on them all night with sleeper crews. Mining faster does not make people stay on mines for shorter periods of time, it just lets them get more for hogging the nodes all day. And what's the point of all that anyway? The refinery hasn't gotten any better so there's no reason to spend more resources on it. The only result is larger stockpiles.
I've been thinking this for a while, and I'm sure I'm not the only one: It would be really nice if there was a Romulan and Klingon analog of Tau Ceti, a mining system with a nice amount of nodes. Especially Klingon, because I've been stuck behind a wall of crystal-hungry... everything... for weeks. Ships, station, research all stalled waiting for crystal... And only 2 major higher-volume crystal-only systems (excluding any that flip to another type of node)...
(and excluding warp 40+ systems)

war ships shouldnt be able to sit on a mine or explode after one minute. this would help quite a bit against mine blocking of whales without natural enemies

When doing alliance helps after you get maximum amount available to you for build/research it resets so you can get more helps every day

So the market is aimed for introduction at level 50. But what if it launched at a level below 40 and through it players could trade Ship Materials for a reasonable formula. At each level you could gain an additional trade ability. So here would be my example.
At level 40 you could swap 10 1* Explorer for 1 2* Explorer
At level 41 you gain the ability for 1* Survey to 2*
At level 42 you gain the ability for 1* Interceptor for 2*
At level 43 you gain the Battleship for 1* to 2*
At level 44 you gain 2* Explorer to 3*
At level 45 you gain 2* to 3* for Survey
At level 46 you gain Interceptor and then 47 Battleship...
48 and above you give you the tier 4 items...
It is just a thought what do others think?
@twilit solar it's not actually at level 50, that's just a placeholder. It doesn't actually exist in the game yet. If you look, there are a number of other buildings that list level 50 as well. they were put there as placeholders for future expansion. We don't know yet what level they will become available when (IF) implemented.

If they don't intend to implement a "cancel last warp command" feature at least move that damn button somewhere else but not next to Locate and Manage buttons. The thing with cancel warp feature is that it has been promised for so long that it feels to me more like an optical illusion, a Morgana effect. No matter how much time passes, you never get close to it. It always remains beyond your reach.
I understand the frustration but the past update with focus on Quality of Life changes have instilled confidence in me once more. When things like these are promised to the public, we never forget. We continue pushing on the subjects relentlessly until they are realized.
And remember, it's in their best interest to ensure everyone is as happy as possible - it's their bread after all.

@here Bookmarks are great improvement for game experience. Maybe a next step could be to implement an alliance cloud for bookmarks?
Basic alliance management functions would finally be nice. IE: last login tracker as well as internal alliance specific participation metrics for events.

Hello, Meaby this has come up earlier but how about verify Ship recall. Many times has happened that you like to recall ship like miner, but accidentally have wrong ship selected. When one press recall, could screen jump to show that ship and verify if you like to recall.
Why can’t there be a parts exchange store in game. Collecting all theses lower level ship parts on ships we won’t build just have no value.

I do agree it was only a starting point and will take time to work through.
You could argue that at level the level after you get the last of a class (e.g. 24 for Level 3 ships) you get the upgrade to your market. Thus bringing the feature in game sooner. There are many interesting points that could evolve with it...
But as I said need a starting place for ideas and thought I would share it as one and will happily help flesh it out further and even lower.
Andhani - ATL TNX for your response. I was at early Lvl 22 when I made the purchase. I have just finished the first l23 build of ops. Still showing as lvl 22 on my game state. Not sure why the other daily game packs did not show as before. I have not darted through levels to get where I am now. Pretty much fumbled my way. TNX agn.
To better offer players an opportunity to enjoy playing each faction, what about an option to cash in Faction points for reputation -- but available only if an ENEMY. Example if ENEMY with Romulans, I can cash in X000 romulan credits (one time), for +X00k romu rep. The cost being -X00K to the other factions.
I would like to suggest the pvp brackets be amended to +- 5 levels. Level 39s hitting 28s is complete shenanigans. Same with 29s hitting 22s, no chance for defense.
I have a few strong suggestions for you for the game as I feel in particular the swarm missions need nerfed just a smidge for early players below rank 20. Perhaps a form of A.I or a bit Game M.L of the players contact with NPC's. Also and absolutely MORE DILITHIUM!! Preferred like Ore levels!
Augment issues are still live on UK/EU Server 156 where player like myself cannot progress into Augment space and do missions or achieve in owning Botany Bay ship.
Please also get your chickens and house in order where the sale of packs around the £90 mark at times DO NOT make sense especially the pack with only 2000 latinum

That's speaking from our role. We're volunteer moderators and not officially affiliated with Scopely. As such, whilst we can urge for a resolve and plea for different events in the mean time, we can't demand actual change.
@amber bronze IANAL but I suspect the Lat Pack exists more for legal issues. It acts as (and has always been) the floor price for in-game packs. It legitimizes every other pack as a being a "sale" by comparison. Clever if only from a legal perspective.

@austere sand is there a reason why the hijacked ship blueprints aren’t in the augment store like the other faction ships? I’ve been maxed on augment rep, and the faction store menu hasn’t changed since roll out. Can we get that put back in?
In another game I play, you can upgrade ships (in the other game planes) if you have x amount of blueprints. To address the extra bps we are gathering, could a system of upgrading a ship be used? For Example an Envoy could be upgraded (like tiering) to an Envoy Mark II, Mark III, etc. - better warp range and cargo capacity, etc. This could apply to all ships, not just mining ships, and will allow for better ships without actually releasing new ships (the graphic could have a different paint job to show a different levelled ship). It is similar I guess to the Officer shards and the promotion of officers, the stats get better as you go and the max level can be set by the devs, even one more above what is the standard now would be a start (not looking for a Mark V Fortunate 😁).
Anyway just an idea to throw out to the masses to discuss.

A very successful improvement would be to install an option so that you can cancel the warp flight to make a course change. which, for example, can be stopped at the next system. Dumping Ship Cargo in space?
I was wondering about the possibly of adding the ability of "dumping ship cargo" while away fron the base? Purely to take advantage of Helvias ability to increase warp speed when cargo hold is empty. Argument could be made that you just don't attack anything while scouting to retain the ability but sometimes an attack may be necessary and then the ability is lost because undoubtedly the cargo will no longer be empty. Plus it would also be fun to see said players dumped cargos lying about in space which then passing players could pick up. Just a thought. It would be cool dumped cargo containers in space. Would have a lot of implications though. Lends itself to trading (and inevitable cheating), surrendering cargo rather than having a ship destroyed (saving repair costs). Can’t see Scopely going for it.
So many people want to switch servers, perhaps they can buy Server Relo Tokens instead... and they can then be randomly assigned into another server suitable for their level range.
I like the dump cargo but perhaps it's a consumable skill... you have to have cargo containers and cargo crates in stock to do it -- up to limited amounts.
Others can then attack them (destroying them) and taking the cargo. 🙂

Ok I am working on the swarm event “Directives” and I was asked to make a decision and had to base that decision on the pics given.
The problem is, I could see Resources as a payout, but could not see the details. Touching the screen didn’t yield more information.
In this case I picked What turned out to be only G2 Uncommon Refined RSS. That was actually a horrible choice. As it was only given 7 of each, I thought it was something better.
So yes, more clarification on what we are getting would help make better decisions.

Sent ship on trip to Augment space just before maintenance started. Destined for a data node, it never got on the node and didn't mine any data, yet the bounty hunter still spawned while the server was offline and killed my ship.
Suggest either freezing all timers and mining, and pausing all hostile ship activity during maintenance cycle. Or at the very least, disable hostile ship generation during this time.
I would like having possibility to transfer cargo from my ship to my other ship.. in space.

What if that dialog were expanded to also involve cashing out tokens in a controlled way so you could choose to convert latinum or cash out tokens vs having to exit back to hud then click buy on resources then find the tokens you have that can get you the amount you need, doublecheck your math, go back to the build/upgrade/etc button and hope you did it right... ?
Just realized another tweak that could be awesome. We have this inbox, should just be renamed to battles, and create another tab for event activity, so we can go back and see event notices and see what points scored etc .. it is too fast and especially for the damage events knowing which ship hits with how many points on bosses is quite useful intel

The solo mining event (ranked one) has me (ops 26) competing against players of ops 38. Since players at ops 30+ can buy the rare Pu in the augment store, how about placing them in their own group next time so those of us that are sub 30 are only competing amongst ourselves for that rare Pu that we wouldn't be able to buy.

Have two arrows on the research upgrades. A green one for what you can research and have the rest for. And a red one which shows it's unlocked but you don't currently have the rest to fund. Would make finding upgrades I can do easier.
Have frequent quests that can be reached, completed or dont require huge amounts of resources, i.e 1.5 million uncommon ore. Show what is required for each quest part too.
Please make the recall and locate buttons round or square. This would prevent people with fat fingers from tapping the wrong one...

Need to fix notifications. I have it turned off on phone app and in app. still getting notifications like crazy. Stop the Cargo full notification . Only need it once not 3 prior to attck and 3 post attack. And could you relocate notification bar it toatally blocks chat window.
You cant seem to notify players in a timely fasion when base is getting hit but can overkill the notifications thier cargo is full

- move it a few pixels down so people can click chat screen behind it
- make it so it stops repeating messages.
Reason: i finished a run of sepratists, and for the next hour i cannot get into alliance chat, or see my daily quests. Messages about cargo, killing ships and those kills counting for 2 sepratists quests keep popping up

FFS can't we stop in the middle of warp travel?!! In Star trek movie or series they drop out of warp at will. I'm fed up no being able to correct destinations especially when my finger accidentally brushes against the screen and launches my ship to a wrong destination.
I did that just little while ago too, took 20 minutes to get the ship back
I have been curious if there has been any talk about limiting the number of attacks someone can make against a station? Reason stating is because while someone can repel an attack it is unnerving that an attacker can instantaneously repair a ship if it doesn't go well or even park there station next to one they wish to raid. I think it may make the game more engaging if you actually needed your fleetmates and your combined power with some strategy to actually attack anyones station, with a notification to the fleet of the defender that they were being attacked, a distress call if you will.
I'm not sure what could be done so that if you raised a station you couldn't use your latinum or speed ups to repair your ships, yet could do so if you attacked npcs or just player ships out in the open but I think it could be done and work to the game's advantage. That and some type of galactic market for people to offload excess resources or materials like unwanted blueprints, or buy them, might negate needing to raid stations as well.
Alliance management
- Notification in AC and PM the Leader/Commodore’s when someone joins/leaves the alliance
- Date/time a member was last logged into the game
- Indication of whether a member is logged in or not
- Resource/materials intra-alliance exchange. Member requests, say, Dilithium and they can receive a fixed amount from a fixed number of players. One request every 24 hours.
Repair time for ships is too big, I suggest when a ship is not destroyed the repair time and the cost to be half. For example if a destroyed ship need 2 hours to repair when it have 1% hull health left sould need 1 hour. In real life if a ship (or a car) get damaged and can't reach the repairman's place it's cost is double and repair time also more...
How about being able to dismantle ships that you don’t need and exchanging the parts for parts that you need for the ships that you want to keep and exchanging 1* parts for 2* parts

1. The player may have an ally retake the node for them if they are unable to retake it themselves due to strength of ships.
2. Retaking of a node shall not be considered in violation of RoE as long as the above are met.
b. Violations result in a 24/hr KOS between the alliance and the aggressor if the issue cannot be worked out between the players.

@still scaffold Scopely doesn't care the slightest bit about ROE. They do however acknowledge that players are doing it. That being said, what you've posted here is exactly the set of ROE that many alliances in many servers including my own follow. It's perfectly fair and in the case of my server put an end to months of endless miner griefing and overall chaos where everyone would just take whatever mine they wanted so long as they could kill the survey (which of course virtually everyone can).
Before this was enacted the average lifespan of any survey ship mining was about 1 minute.

ROE actively REDUCES bullying to a large degree. without it it's just mining chaos where bullies take whatever they want whenever they want, or just mass kill miners because they want to. not that roe really stops that entirely, but it gets players fired up enough to try to put it down when it happens. roe is a very good thing and many players have been petitioning for it to get added to the game in some fashion.
Hello, I am level 28 and my Franklin Tier is 7. How in earth you going to get 1M or 2M frequency modulators for guns and shit for it? Dailies provide About 20k if I do 5 turns on Sawrm30s its going to take 1,5 year to get 1M modulators. And there is 5 big parts to upgrade. Please give atleast 25K per swarm dailie rewards. That would mean almoust 100k is possible per day. And take 2 weeks to upgrade one part.
And to add, please make swarm dailies respond to your Franklin Tier, so rewards go higher when Franklin is tiered.
How about Scopely pull their heads out of their asses and get shit fixed. Such as, not getting the extra 2 points for using a faction ship in the Separatist event!!!!
Please start offering other packs for other officer crews. The current three are of no use to some and increased variety would be appreciated.

Why can't the rings around the core have independent repair yards instead of having to wait for one ship to repair at one time? All the rings should have their own yards to repair ships that are docked to it.

How about ability to teleport? Swap crews while not in warp. Go from PVE to PVP to hitting stations without having to return to station.

After a while the Jellyfish, which is essentially a pay to play ship, becomes obsolete. Why not make it so that a fully levelled JF remains permanently on guard in a station without needing to be occupying a dock. That would keep it relevant and involved in later levels, adding to the fun and complexity of the game.
The other obsolete ships we should be able to trade in for RSS.

How about the option to create custom notifications.
For example: There is a shielded base next to you with loads of resources, so you can then make a notification for when that Base drops it's shield.
Or someone is sitting on a mine and you can create a notification for when the mine reaches Zero.
Good evening, it should be possible for players to change the server without losing all. I say this because my galaxy with its special players becomes more and more boring for me and I have the impression that I don't really match it. Besides the public chat there is a total desaster...
I also suggest to install admins in the Galaxy chat and official behaviour rules (also for PMs) to make sure that there is no social desert there while playing. The chat usually is full of trolls and idiots who don't even let others' alliance advertisements in peace by making bad propaganda and sharing cords of players in public all the time. Hard Insultations and big mobbing everyday. Right before I saw another one again saying goodbye to all because of bad chat experiences. And there are many players (even entire alliances in the meanwhile) yet who never use the GC because of this. This says all. We're human, no orks. If Scopely doesn't control enough the communication there it also earns less money because of such problems, and this would be pity, no?
yeah general rule on our server is dont talk in galaxy chat. most don't even watch it anymore.

Actually it's so unfortunate as GC was created and meant as a place where players and alliances can have a look beyond their horizon. As a chance to meet different cultures and playing styles by exchanging and discovering new ideas and methods for enriching each other. I also suggest to make English the only language in GC because in 2019 it can be written and understand by almost all. Using other languages there exclude many players from other cultures from the conversation which is not cool. Alternatively it might be a good idea to create public nations/language rooms (Russian, German, French etc.) in addition to or instead of the GC.
it would be nice with a different game mode where the game would slow down the pace so much at higher levels and instead let everyone be able to reach higher levels. And instead have a end time. Either when you reach a certain level or when you played a certain time. Since most players don't seem to mind restarting the game to do better on what they missed the first time, having it as a natural process could be cool.
You could also have timed servers where you announce in advance that a certain server will start at a given date and you could sign up in advance for it. Then it would run for 3 months and not have the slow down in research time and build time.
Most of us enjoy the missions, building and advancing your station. When it turns into grinding it quickly gets boring.
another small request: could we have an indicator on the cargo meter which shows protected cargo? Either a separator or if the bar is coloured differently.

I'm talking about all trolls and bullies there who behave as if they're the owners of GC and think they can do what they want there. And I'm generally talking about a higher level of communication, respect and mutual appreciation there (e.g. not sending cords from others there because it's nothing else than pillory-conspiracy behaviour, briefly a.s.s.h.o.l.e attitude). I never was a friend of the "swemnap" and straigthjacket "KOS" rule either because it's an attack against the personal freedom, creativity and different methods/ideas. But in chats everyone should still follow certain standards and don't overstep certain borders.
And all who don't stop complaining of being shooted should remember that first of all this is a wargame and no construction simulation... if more players accept this fact and just focus on protecting themselves by developping better survival concepts, the game would strategically/tactically become deeper which would finally be a relaxing and interesting benefit for all. I still see so much diplomatic potential in this game that is unfortunately not used by most of gamers as they listen to much to the always complaining "victims" who don't realise that they become the true bullies in their rage after being hit.

Kill the "one of your ships has reached its cargo limit" notification. We all know when our cargo limit is reached because of the green icon. Trying to use chat window when that notification pops up every 3 seconds is annoying

Not sure if there's a separate thread to respond to the patch, so I'm doing it here: about the mission management. The introduced functions (archive and favorite) may help a little, but I'm really surprised you (@devs) didn't just introduce an automatic sorting by system: group the missions by the system in which the active step is located, then sort the systems with missions according to distance to the selected ship. People who accept a zillion missions into their mission tab, will be doing many missions in parallel/simultaneously, and therefor such a sorting would be greatly beneficial to them. People who like focussing on one mission, most likely will not accept 100+ missions at first anyway. (and this sorting mechanism could be superceded by the favorite starring)
And related to missions but not to the patch: please remove time-waster steps (return to base to complete) or large warp travels that make no sense in the storyline... They are just annoying. (and yes, I know and use the workaround for the "return to base" task, but an exploit is no excuse for maintaining a flaw)
I don't know if anyone has suggested about moving the market to lower than level 50 -- and it would be cool to allow players in an alliance share materials -- this would create an alliance where some can perform building for alliance bases and ships while miners mine the material and fighters can do what they like - fighting. Allowing of course for anyone to do all if they prefer... Just a thought.
I have seen in a couple of games. The chst system has a translate function button to enable players to read foreign language messages. Could this be implemented ??

Please turn off the “cargo bay full” pop up notification. It’s excessive and annoying when you’re killing reds rapidly. It also covers up the chat bar. We can see our cargo is full by looking at the ship icon at the bottom of the screen.

I want a new officer abilities,
"Rigged To Explode" if X officer ship is destroyed, the attacking players ship is also hit by the full hull of the destroyed ship plus the remaining value of the mine as damage. This should work even if the officer is a sub level officer.
"Ramming Speed" if X officer attacks and is destroyed, the target ship is hit with the other ship full hull as damage.
This could make the turds that just hit miners because they can a reason to think first. Is this going to destroy my big ass ship

Adding more G3 nodes is nice, but it still doesn’t solve the problem of players who destroy miners just for fun. It’s not like people are fighting over nodes that much. It’s players who clear out entire systems that make mining difficult. You should make survey ships unattackable when they are actively mining up to their protected cargo amount. Otherwise, we just deal with the same old mine for five minutes, repair, find a new node cycle.
Well if a peace shield would work on all your ships, but it might make the game much more boring.
Boring? Mining is a requirement for missions, events and dailies. It is a necessary part of the game in order to progress. PvP, however, is not required. Not being able to progress makes the game boring as well. Not every player has the time to stare at their phone for hours on end just to keep an eye on their ship.

The higher level you go gives the wider range because they’ve spent tens of thousands to get there and the devs don’t want to make their big spenders unable to beat down on the innocents. That’s the whole reason they dump that much money into the game.

Low level PvP range was too wide and players were quitting. Now theyve advanced their level and some want the protection extended. Others want to punch down. PvP range will inevitably be adjusted again.
@pure crag uh, no. If you read what I wrote, I said “unattackable when they are actively mining up to their protected cargo amount”. Not indefinitely. Players go op all the time as it is. Yes, there are always going to be those who find it fun to just attack others. For newer and lower level players, having your miners constantly getting hit is a huge deterrent from investing time and money into the game. Especially for players who can’t spend ridiculous amounts of time staring at their phones. Can’t advance and get better if you can’t get the resources you need.
I think an automatic protection, such as a shield for a miner, would be the wrong way. But a manual selectable shield for a miner, like for the base would be nice.
So I have to sit and watch Captain Stonn mining gas with Tpring on the bridge instead of sending them home to switch seats. No thanks

Or how about this suggestion? While a survey ship is actively mining and under its protected cargo, make the shield strength variable and proportional to the attacking ship. Then you could still blow up empty miners with your 300K Kumari, but it would do a lot more damage to the attacker.
Its lazy and a waste of everyone else's time to watch you mine as slowly as you can. Other people need to mine. Very lazy for right captain to be on the bridge but not in the chair all day.

Can’t speak for other servers, but mine is fairly active. I can almost always find either a vacant, zero or op node when I want to mine. Never had a need to kick an empty off a node. Certainly never needed to check who’s using what crew.

@pure crag not one player. Several alliances that think killing 40K miners with 300-500K faction ships is somehow PvP. And those who do it just to cause chaos.
My point is, mining is required, and Scopely could retain more players (potential paying customers) by adding protections for mining .

Similar to what you have now done with transporter shards would it be possible to set up a similar capability with the ships blueprints like a trading station or junkyard giving different exchange rates on blue prints for alternate ship blue prints
As this game has progressed and grown a lot of alliances have found the need for someone in between Admiral and Commodore. It would be nice in the very near future to see an additional role added as Vice Admiral. Holding more duties than a Commodore.

For the extra common ship bps, instead of making them useful only for building additional (unneeded) ships, why not allow players to spend said bps on cosmetic changes such as color palette swaps/mods or even new skins? Most of these ships have skin variants already in the game, controlled by hostiles or mission targets.

I have a suggestion. Noticed the new cargo progress bar that shows when you are over protected limit. A nice idea, but not very practical. It is too small to see the exact moment we go over. Attackers get an exact number, why can't we?
I suggest getting rid of the bar. Saves you screen real estate and memory.
Have the number showing current cargo change color when you go over limit, red being the obvious choice. Doesn't matter if it is just the current cargo number or the whole current/max cargo line. It would change at the exact point and would be easily seen.

Why dont developers make unique nodes to be only mined exclusively by the corresponding unique survey ship? (BB -> data node / D'Vor -> latinum node) And I dont mind that it can only be used to mine just that, to be fair shouldn't be able to mine anything else besides what they were created for...
specific ships get advantages, but every ship can mine anything...that makes sense in a 'realistic' setting...

How about adding a system control feature. All of the alliances can battle for a system. Once they have control, alliance members would get a bonus.

Would also open the ability to have crew that could increase build / research speeds or improve repair times (augments).
Insert some npc bases for RAID ressource. Miningrate of parsteel, tritanium or dilithium is crap If you need Millionen of these ressources. Please be creative and Stop copying npc ships. That is pointing to the Design of the coming soon G4 ships.

Have ships in need of tiering up use the shipyard instead of the dock.
The station should have a command bridge in pots where you can assign crew to defend the station. Treat it like a ship for example like DS9 where the station can defend with crew and not just with crew on the docked ships.
Could there be some use for all these ship blueprints... not sure why I'd want 5 phindras, if we build them.. could we decommissioned the ships and break them down getting a % of parts back plus a minimum amount if it's just been built.
So a an upgraded ship will grant ship parts, + % of crystal/gas/ore and ship exp
Non upgraded ship would just grant ship parts
For 1 refine the D'vor ship requires 12h of mining with 6 two way trips to avoid overcargo at T5. please increase the protected cargo amount and balance it out by making this ship very unfeasable to mine other materials
Hi guys. Just an idea I had, quite a lot of alliances have inactive players, I thought it would be a good thing to introduce a "last active " piece of information into the player profile. That way alliances would know when to remove inactive players and get new players to join. Appreciate any thoughts.
Suggestion that's probably been made before, please make the base rss information gained from a scan show you only what you can take, not the protected resources... My brain gets tired of guessing if it's worth cracking a base vs. reward.

During ship to ship combat, any critical hit should have a chance to damage an upgradable component, hindering it's boost either partially or completely until the ship is repaired. This could weaken weapons, shield strength, even engines, making the trip home much slower. Warp range would have to be left unaffected though.
I like that you have separated the protected cargo graphically, and even made it so that we can tap the 3 square icon to see the contents, but that tap option should be carried over to the detail screen as well.

When you go offline, always log back on again to make sure the shield is set. Sometimes the client doesn't get the signal through to the server that you set a shield. Scopely would only see that you never set the shield in the first place. Restarting the app shows you what the server sees.
that's the weird thing...this was halfway through a 24-hour peace shield...12 hours down, 12 to go

Can you look into the lvl system please. I am lvl 22 i have a North Star at 148k and a vahklas at 98k right now. How am I supposed to repel an attack from a lvl 26 player in a 248k Kumari. I have no chance rhis slightly unfair.. So now a lvl 27 player attacks me come on thats so far off the mark.

@silver grotto the mining mechanics don’t consider material mined until you leave the node, so the “what’s in my ship” button only shows what was in your ship before you start mining a specific node.
Not entirely true. You can go over protected and get hit, then you lose to the enemy what you were over by. That means you had that material in your cargo to lose it.
@austere sand as you know we all have issues with specialty ships being able to mine what they are created for. This has forced many servers to create their own ROEs to help give all players fair game play. Have you all considered making the ships only able to mine what it is designed for, such as writing in code for only allowing the Botany Bay to mine augmented data, or the Dvor only able to mine latinum. These special ships ability’s really have no need to be used outside what they were designed for. A new code could be written (I could even write it myself and submit it for approval) could prevent them from mining other Types of nodes. Or alternatively making a ship on a node unable to be attacked unless it is over cargo protection or idling on a node that has nothing left to mine. Just trying to throw out some ideas to hopefully make gameplay more appealing to everyone.

Northstars would have a bit of a edge, but powerful horizons and faction miners would be nearly immune to that.

@tall lily Oh i agree with you. it would change the whole balance of the game, for the better in my opinion. it would force warships to fight other warships rather than just being used as miner killers. I think it would encourage better pvp.
The current state of pvp is simply: "you killed my miner, i'm gonna hunt down your miners!" or "you hit my base, i'm gonna hunt down your miners!"
Here's something to think about: If a ship gets XP for being in a battle, why wouldn't it's crew?
I wondered that when I first started playing. It only makes sense. buuut .. crew xp is pleantiful while ship xp is rare so earning ship xp kinda makes sense
the thing that drives me nuts however is that you can earn ship xp a bit at a time, but you can't spend ship xp unless you bump the ship a whole new level, aka you can't apply the ship xp you have to the amount needed and just reduce the amount needed

Reward Mining Vessels for Mining. It seems artificial and gamey to have my D'Vor out killing hostiles so I can gain ship exp. Why dont we reward mining vessels for mining. Sort of like the mining events. They gain a certain amount t of ship exp for mining resource or materials. They could also receive ship exp if attacked, but not if they are attacking. I think this would encourage miners to mine for their ship exp vs having to attack hostles.
How about an alliance event that's not competing against other alliances, so each person gets to choose certain events they want to do and you get so many points for completing, idea is everyone collectively has to get the alliance score above a certain tier threshold, each tier and the end allows each player to choose 1 of a pool of possible items. Would help massively smaller alliance that have no hope in hell of beating the giants.

Suggestion - why not per-alliance events? What if there were things your alliance could do to trigger a burst raiding/mining/pve/whatever event just for you alliance. You have 1 hour to kill as many hostiles as you can - GO!

Domitia (hurry home) works with any amount of cargo. Sometimes she "breaks" and doesnt work at all. Removing her from the bridge will reset her ability.

Dear developers! Let's have logic in the things they do. I am lv24 and was up to 2 days ago FAVORED in the federation. I had to kill 25 Romulans or Klingons lv29 and 10 more lv28. Now turn to CONSORT and those numbers jumped to 25 lv31 and 10 lv30. Let's jump from 1 to 1 and not 2 to 2. So you guys are awesome.

@lucid nacelle Your daily faction hunt requirements jumped from 28/29 to 30/31. If its too hard, you can kill traders from your favored faction to knock your rep down. This will give you time to upgrade your ships
I understand that companies make money off the in game purchases however, your prices are far to high for what you get in the packages! Only a small amount of players can afford to hand you fists full of money while some just quit and others try to hang in there like myself.
Take your most expensive packages and lower them to $4.99, dont have any packages over $29.99 and rebuild the packages from there! You will make a lot more money as more players would feel justified to spend the money!
Gameplay,
There are some big changes that need to take place that would make this game great!
You have ship hanger, ship yard and drydocks and are using them wrong. We are launching out of a dry dock when we should be launching from hangers and repairs should be done in dry docks.
We should NOT have to wait for a ship to be repaired to launch a different ship in our hanger!
If you changed the hanger to dry dock and dry docks to hangers, then repairs are done at the the drydock and ships are launched at hangers.
Repairs could be queued allowing 2 ships to be repaired ar once while others have to wait.
Ship yard - build ship
Ship hangers - launch / stoarge
Dry dock - ship repairs / upgrades
Fleets
we should have a fleet option where we can set a lead ship with others set to support leadship.
For example, i set a minning ship as a lead ship and a jellyfish as a support ship, i send the minning ship to gather ore and the jellyfish circles around the node protecting the minning ship. If someone trys to attack the support ships fights. Once attacker takes out the support ship then they can attack minning ship!
QOL -Quality of life
The protected cargo on MINNING ships need to be increased to 75% of ships cargo! Why should someone be able to come by and take what i waited so long to get? This make people quit
Unfortunately, the market determines the price of packs. People are paying, so prices stay high
And people are losing families and houses (can confirm this from separate incidents on my server alone) to chasing packs and power at $100 a pop and $3-$4k a week

Also, can scopely please stop saying researches boost ship shields or hull (or other things related to ships) by 30% or some other percentage when it in fact does nowhere near close to that, since that number is often based off of some base stat no one really kept track of. People would rather know it only buffs their current tier ship by 7-8% and not be misled. It’s even worse when it’s a prime that promises 100% and then you see the reality afterward is nowhere near that number.

@lean bolt I've long been aware of such, it's not something exclusive to Scopely though ya know. It's pretty much common practice. My point was, that there's help available to those that can't help themselves. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
Before you add more 'features' fix the issues that have been long outstanding, like officer's maneuvers and abilities working as described!
@lean bolt It does make sense that it is the way it is and showing the exact percentage increase is acutally not as easy as you might think, but I can say that those actually do add a 100% buff but that is not a 100% additoonal buff but just added to all existing buffs.
But the LCARS team (as in we) have been working on getting all the ship data and will once we have launched the ship command provide a spreadsheet which you can use to calculate precisely what affects each stat and how high that will be after a particular research.

@muted mortar There are reasons why we like to play games. There's science there on chemicals that your body produces whenever you feel you've achieved something in them for starters. However, some experience this stronger than others.
I don't think ST:FC is a gambling game.
It has some elements that are influenced by it, such as Officer packs but generally when I ask someone of a similar level what officers they have - we all have pretty much the same because it's not pure gambling - it's weighted to ensure people do unlock the necessary things around and about the same level. Not to even mention that this is further backed by officer parts being given from Events and Missions as well.
That said, you're able to progress faster by spending. You're able to get ahead of the rest where in real life, you might feel that you're always one step behind. Now we're in a position where instead of playing to unwind from life, we're using it to escape from it - at all costs, including making real life worse than it already might be.
That is what I'm referring to as it's a danger that's present with every game that allows you to make purchases to progress. The fact that there are games like these isn't the problem. It's that in real life, we're losing the sense of community and now we're no longer aware of who our neighbors are. Social media platforms have turned the concept of friends into a numeric counter to display on your profile page.
We need to return to our roots, to the place where we talked with one another about everything and anything. Back when we really knew how things were going with those we love. So that we might be able to get to these people that are feeling troubled or lost before they damage themselves.
TL;DR - There's never just 1 thing to blame when it comes to self-destructive behavior, it's too easy to point at a company and call it a day.

That being said, we differ in opinion on the gambling aspect but that's ok. Yes people of the same level will tend to have very similar things, the reason is simple: randomized results in a small sample with be highly varied, over a longer period of time with a larger sample size the results tend to become fairly uniform. Gambling works on this principle, short term wins offset by long term losing trends. Then come the high rollers who rely on strategic large short term wins which have virtually no effect on the average result. The average number of wins stays the same, but a very small number have made much larger gains. Sound familiar? Just saying. I agree wholeheartedly with the loss of a sense of community and a lack of personal connection. Yes, we also need to take responsiblity for our own behaviors and stop blaming everyone and everything else.

There’s not many games out there where you get invulnerability shields, let alone where it’s not uncommon to be able to bubble almost indefinitely
You can hit anyone that can hit you, if you can’t hit their base go hit miners or their alliance

I've been playing since April 2018, some in my alliance since 2017 ... We have seen various things during alpha and beta stages ... back then there were no shields for bases ... you are lucky to have them... learn to use them then you won't have the problem

@lunar valley shields are pointless and ineffective .... especially when they drop or just dont work full stop.... ie the rather well known Saladin vs.... base shield bug....... that scopely wont admit to existing
I dont mine the shield , its more the levels you can and cant hit ... its always a David vs goliath think . They Should have a second look at that , ever since they changed it 2/3 monts back its a bit off

Lots of people complian about the raiding system , yet they dont care , but lots of people want to quit because of it so they beter do something about it .... its a great game but it has a lot if weird things going on sometimes

Make 4 digit numbers visible across the board. It would also help if we saw more than 2 digits when looking at ship stats.
Please put a 1 hour shield in the alliance store. Sometimes you need to step away from the game for a few minutes without burning a longer shield.
or you could just step away from the game for longer and watch scopely's metrics drop. 🙂
I would love to see individualized packages. If you offered e.g. 3,500 uncommon crystals for - let‘s say - 21,90€ I would certainly buy it 😉
now i know this is a war game and u can blow ships up but this guy here is always hitting my miners and everyone on the server. he needs to be removed from the game. i had ppl quit my alliance over him always hitting there miners. notice the cargo i was under protected and he does it to be annoying. u got to mine in the game and if u cant mine u wont be able to refine for your ships and other build u need to advance in the game
i feel there has to be away to restrict ship battles to warships only and not miners. if this game is a mining game then it should function as a miner game. warships shouldnt be used to take out lesser ships
i feel this will deter them from being a nusence

We’ve got several of those on our server. Some see them as a blessing because they open up mines for new people, most see them as a scourge. It’s tough to stop or slow them down because they favor hit and run tactics with fast warships. I agree some amount of protection for low level miners would be nice.
It seems the higher level you are, the wider range of levels you can hit, but I believe that to be backwards thinking. No way should a lvl 40 be able to run around bullying lvl 26's....
@tall lily 39s pvp range has started at 25 for as long as i can remember. It should be higher and might someday be changed. You'll get used to it if it doesnt.

@lyric plover this is my point exactly, although i'm sure implementation would take a bit of trial and error to implement, but the higher the level ,the more narrow the attackable levels should be...to keep higher level players fighting higher level players and not bullying lower levels

@lyric plover If youre referring to using number of drydocks as seperation, then i should clarify. The 4th dock adds greatly to base defense. 25-27 should not be open to attack for 39s. In fact, they should be protected from 35+ too. Maybe lower.
Pvp level ranges are based off of more of, can a miner get into your full health, with ships docked base

i think the dry dock option has merit if included with lvl...i could see that being very equalizing
i'm not trying to say i have all of the right answers...only that it is currently broken

another suggestion: allow a button that automatically calculates the 'most powerful' crew based on recruit strength and allow people to apply it to their ships....100% optional, especially since many people like to build their crews based on abilities instead, but sometimes u just need as much power as u can get

Introduce event ships for holidays that cannot be repairef, but have crazy stats. USS North Pole - 2.5M power explorer; doubles item drops.
It would be interesting to trial only specialist ships on their mines for say a week ..I.e. ferengi dvor on Latium and Botany Bay on data ....
Equally interesting ..when a ship reached protect level you could set an option to recall
I got an idea, why not limit the number of attacks on a single players base...say 5 in 24 hrs. That way the huge players can’t just sit back and get fat off of everyone’s hard work.
The game I used to play called it bashing when one player hit another more than 5 times without being at war. Then there was alliance bashing that when more than 5 players from one alliance hit one player from another alliance 5 times each without being at war. The offending player would be banned for up to 72 hrs without shield, which allowed the defender a chance to get there goodies back.
I would welcome a new function “last seen “ this way we can see how active alliance members . Should be easy to implement
@dense palm that would absolutely ruin base raiding for most players. High level players can clean out most mid level bases in 5 hits easily with faction surveys, mid level players would get virtually nothing for the same amount of hits, making the cost of cracking a base for mid level players not worth the reward sonce most of the time they have to clear out a ton of parsteel before they get to the good stuff (unless they need parsteel, but 5 hits at 144k isn't much).
I would like to swap personal on the bridge for captain while not at station.
Being able to stop warp or change directions would be nice too.
Warp mechnics are kinda wonky because the ship isn't actually travelling, it's just a timer to destination. The best we could likely get would be a cancel which would drop the ship back where it started I think.
