These Lvl 26 rare Armada targets (appr. 2 mio.) are completely worthless! Non of them being touched on our server. Cost 200 rare directives but only pay around 200 rare credits. Who is stupid enough to do that? Just skip them.

Those who start armada need to be able to control who joins or be able to bump someone from their armada. 2. Team members should not be auto bumped if they arrived or joined first at the Armada. These two issues where there is no control is causing a lot of frustration with people getting bumped. Please do something about this immediately. I cannot believe this event was in development for a year and not one single person said hey what about these two possibilities.

Can we put Armadas back at Coming Soon and give it another go? Waiting a year for a over overhyped mediocre feature is not only not worth it, it's insulting and borderline offensive. It feels like it was put together without any plans or directions of any sort. I can almost guarantee you a lot of players had great ideas while speculating what Armadas was to bring. The audacity to charge unreasonable prices for a chance at prizes some would deem worth it is just outlandish. This and the Ferengi event are just farces. Get it together!

So im a lvl 22 the reward of ship is kumari and envoy ( have to many bp i can build 10 ) in the armada . My question now if i get all the bp of kumari can i unlock it immedialy or i have to wait when im lvl 24 .

armadas are seriously a ton of crap. These rare events are so bad only ~10 alliances have actually participated and the rewards go to 25 alliances. Clearly, someone messed up how hard it was to get rare directives.
spending $100 for 5 tries on a rare is stupid. Chances are you will probably get PVP'd out of 1-2 of them. So you get a kill on 3-4 which gives enough credits for 1-2 chests. The payout on those chests is horrible. Its like pissing $100 down the drain. just buy a normal pack and get an infinitely better return.

Not really happy with armada or ferengi events. I enjoy events which help me progress and neither of these really do that.
I’m a pay for desert player. Which means I pay to buy the final needed mats for ship components. If It takes forever to get through dinner than it’s that much longer before I spend anything for desert.
And frankly the game is completely unbalanced in favor of fed.(sally power plus abundant rare crystal to upgrade it). Other factions have to pay way more to keep up, but feds get their mats for free.

Do your weekly swarm Sunday and get 3 rare from heroic and 2 from normal. Compare that to weekly nothing for gas and ore. And all last week swarm event was daily events for rare crystal.
And Swarm Sunday is super easy - 20 minutes of play to complete.

So I heard back from “customer service”. They said thank you for providing the info, screenshots and video but that’s it. They will not tell me what will be done about it nor have they said anything will be done to fix the imbalance of prizes won and items received from these players cheating. This is exactly what I expected they would do; nothing. Their big spenders get caught cheating and theyre not gonna do anything about it. The players probably won’t even get penalized. Heck, this cheat has been around for months and affecting a bunch of other events. I wonder if their is a legality issue somewhere in their terms and conditions.

Kehra served me well when i was low level and didnt have a d3. Saved my base loads with bortas and kumaris hitting it also took out lots of kumaris during wars its a good ship thats under rated due to the nerf but players rushing to the kumari and not doing research made them easy targets i dont regret leveling it up

Consider turning off fighters in hostile space if you're in an armada zone. Feels really silly to find it easier to hit bases in friendly territory than to bother actually attacking your enemies. Without a lot of time spent doing 2 ship tricks you end up fighting off a 15 minute wave of constant hostile attacks, or you can just hit a friendly faction for a few hundred rep hit.

I known others have said this already, but I wanted to add my voice to the discussion on the Threat from Beyond event.... The rewards offered for this especially once you need level 26 or higher swarm to get the points lack one item. That of frequency modulators. When you need 100K+ for one component on your Franklin getting more than just the dailies would help the event and make it more of a look forward to Sunday event. Just my thoughts here.

@uncut sentinel I have only just hit a Tier 6 Franklin so can at least kill 30s (well one) with my Franklin. Upgrades are 500k modulators which is a long term project. I do like the Trit from the Swarm Sundays as at least this can be used upgrading other ships and the Khan and Mara shards are welcomed though I do question why Jaylah isn't given out instead of Khan, (but I presume this is since she hasn't been tested yet and they have no frickin' idea what her skills are going to be). I think the FMs need to be made more available generally from loot drops or whatever, though understand the reasons they aren't is to milk the Trek licence for all its worth...

I am boycotting the armada event as the reward are atrocious. Finally got enough credit to open a rare armada pack. Got 4 items (2 of which were speed ups) . Yes it says chance but this is taking the mickey. Scopely must be laughing all the way to the bank. Disgraceful!

Imo events should never run for more than 5 days at a time.
Nothing else about this game is inclusive ie. package prices, PvP levels, daily goals etc. So why are events running so long? You’re just boring the players that are on daily which also tend to be your spenders anyway.

Question about base hits.... my base rate was 329K with 210K Kumari, 110 NS and 43K envoy. The base was taken out on one hit with lost cargo from 199K Horizon with mining crew... of the 27 hits NONE show my ships destroyed yet they were...

BUT your base was hit more than 27 times
As such only the most recent 27 attacks have been logged

I know that pain all to well, at least find some abandoned bases and hit them every 4-5 hours to get everything from their generators.. If you find 10 of such bases, you can have around 2-4 mil par each day and some marginal tritanium and dilithium

Base hitting is a necessary evil, my warehouse at 29 only stores something like 10mil par and most upgrades cost more than 20. If I see a jucy base thats unshielded, you have to try. Trouble is finding unshielded bases with any res worth stealing as tokens have taken alot out of the economy. We tend to end up just hitting the top alliances anyway, as their the ones playing the game thus have resources to steal. Tit for tat really. I raid, and am raided. I try not to loose too much sleep over it. Base raiding and pvp is probably the only entertaining thing about the game.

Just stockpiling for the next refinery bonus event though I do wish the cool down was lower. Not even looked at the events in days, hitting Armadas is just dull, and financailly makes no sense to half wreak my ship for 1 crystal and a few thousand dilithium.

I have nothing against a P2W event, but the rewards are pretty lame and do nothing to encourage playing or paying, this feels like its on the back of weeks of p2w events and I just want to do something that isn't locked behind a pay wall. Regarding The Halloween Event. Yay a couple of packs... Nah not worth buying them in the store for blue and green officers. I think this event would have been better if there was a daily kill reds event with a solo leader board (ops tiered) giving Halloween chests. The rewards for this don't exactly get me excited. I still think if you were going to drop $100 on the game you'd be better getting the Fed/Klingon or Rom packs just for the command badges. I cant buy them even if I wanted too as they are locked from my store. I have to assume that most whales probably don't need blue or green officers or an extra 1200 alliance credits so one has to ask who this 'event' is aimed at or is it just another marketing gimmick to sell stuff of questionable real value.

@prime gulch My alliance has extremely high activity (unless on vacation, or something came up) at 100% (we check). We constantly rank 1, even though we are not #1 in power. My alliance has extremely low attrition rate - in part due to this. So, its very rare folks quit my alliance.
One of my members quit today, and when asked why "Armadas killed the game for me. I don't mind spending money, as long as there is value to it. All Armadas do is stress relationships in alliance as everyone yells 'Me' first. Its a terrible event that is clearly just for money."
The guy is right. All i hear in AC, and even GC, are complaints about Armadas.
While our server, mostly, treats Armadas with ROE, your comments that Armadas is a pvp event was unnecessary and just justifies jerks who want to try and make someone lose a $20 rare armada. Armada, btw is a PVE event, not pvp. Just because a player can hit a sitting target, doesn't make it a PVP event. Maybe take out the gloeing circles so invadors have to figure out who is in armada and who is defending.
Net net...Armada clearly failed to impress the players, and some are quitting because of it.

Scopely, could you please fix the event countdown timer that’s visible from the main view to display the earliest closing event? Example at Noon EST, a research event closes in 6 hours, but the timer displays 1D 00H to reflect the daily event closing. About the mining events...it’s ridiculous to have players with 4 drydocks (lvl28 and above) on same solo leaderboard (eg. Latinum rush) with players that have 3 drydocks (below lvl28). 8 out of top 10 on current event are lvl28 and above, and rewards are only for top 10.

Same here. I’m lvl 23 and I need three BPs. Last time they did this, they just made it available for sale and not to earn it. Stinks that they level lock this. It is easy to get if you know ahead of time to grind the lvl 18 mining event before going to level 19 and getting the last 12 you will ever get.

@prime gulch I am very disappointed with the my recent contact with customer support. During the recent trek or treat event I started in one alliance and earned points. About a day before the event finished I changed alliances and killed at least 50 hostiles which should have given me minimum 50points in the new alliance, but they didn’t log.
From the reply’s from support it seems that you can no longer change alliances during an event if you want to earn the rewards. Although the initial canned reply just says you need to earn points in the alliance that you are in when the event ends, it doesn’t say you will be unable to earn points in multiple alliances or that you need to be in the alliance before the event starts in order to earn point. This is a game limiting change especially with events now running for days and days.

I can confirm that you can’t switch alliances for most events. Some, like the lat mining one that just happened counted when people switch mid-way.

They have now updated the message to say if you leave you won’t be able to participate in any of the current events. This doesn’t help with alliance co-operation, because we have to be in the alliance before the event starts, but if we don’t know exactly when events are starting, what skills it needs or what the rewards are we cannot plan

I don’t change alliance for helps, I have enough speed ups for that, this is a strategy game, to rank in alliance events you need the right team and sometimes changing alliances temporarily is the only way to do that. Not really much point playing a strategy game that doesn’t allow you to strategize

I need to be in a bigger alliance so that I get to have some fun. But I want to be in my regular alliance at the weekend so they get to have some fun.
The current game dynamic means I either have to dump my current alliance so that the game remains fun. Or just play at weekends and not progress. Neither of those options are appealing

Wasted res on kumari to get it stuck at T7, lost loads of resources due to shields disappearing during regular maintenance, paid for 3 packs to get a bortas only to see they bumped up the packs 2 days after so it only takes 2, now this crap with 6h downtime cheating me out of my regular refines and their apology is chicken feed.
Spent thousands on this game to get an edge and support the devs and the thanks I get is the run around by some 3rd party outsourced pr firm who handle support by giving no real response or resolution except "we've let our team know and they're working on it"

@winged axle The requirements for the Swarm events more than double just by going from lvl 31 to lvl 32. Heroic was 165 points with lvl 32 at 10pts, now it is 375 points with lvl 32 at 2pts. That is staggering jump for just a single lvl. What is the logic in that other than to discourage players from leveling?

By now you should know at every even lvl event requirements changes,so I wouldnt recommend going to next even lvl without being able to complete events at that lvl.For planning ahead you can always ask for help in here

I could see doubling requirements to 330, and dropping lvl 32s to 5 points, but the massive amount of modulators needed to upgrade Franklin it is insane.

I think the devs finally realized that most players tend to delay upgrading their ops for a variety of reasons and that doing so makes us less likely to spend money on the game so they are trying to entice us.

Domination isn't really an event, more of a filler between real events.
These events are probably lasting so long because they are trying to prepare for the next armadas release which, of course, will just be a carbon copy of the first one just with higher power targets and a $500 price tag.

to add to @spark trail question above, I'm level 26 with Consort reputation with the Federation. I can buy Antares and Saladin blueprints with Faction credits yet I can't get them with this event while others clearly can? What exactly is the criteria for what ships players are allowed to obtain in this event?

@vagrant topaz ok. Thanks. I realize even with the blueprints you can't actually build the Saladin until shipyard 28. It just seems that if you have the reputation to get them early in the Faction Store that should equate to the Event store. Also you're giving level 36 an early shot at the ISS Jelly when they can't use it until level 39. At 26, I'm closer to 28 than a 36 is to 39, just saying.

I love the update, but I wish we had some decent event to go along with it. After finishing my dailies, there's really nothing in the game to do today that will help me make progress. I can't earn directives to do aramadas for the armada event. Prepare for war and mirror, mirror are not things I can take any reasonable actions to progress on. In theory, I could work on the overhaul event, but what I am going to do for the other 11d then?
Why not a faction hunt or separatists event or something where I could really get out and test these new ships?

Event has been nice. Having fun with it. It's much like the one that gives Bat'leth tokens (separatist IIRC). Glad to have an event store again, and one that has lots of useful stuff. The event store hasn't been so nice with how much we get for token amount. Or at least it feels that way. I can get more stuff like uncommon resources for a daily goal's worth of Bat'leth tokens than I can with the current one. Now, I'm not sure if this one comes out the same as this is spread out across a longer time than the bat'leth token event, but it feels like I'm getting less. I don't even remember how long that other event lasts, so I cannot compare accurately. But if that is the case that it comes out the same, then I'm glad to have it, and I approve.

According to RevDeuce, Tal was pulled because he is bugged. Apparently he was having an unintended "reverse-Vemet" effect where a hostile would resurrect with limited hull a few times before it eventually died for good.
Hope he gets fixed during the event and added back. He looks really useful.

I imagine it's been said already but, I'm dual faction with Romulans and Klingons and am very disapointed I cannot buy highjacked bp's of the d3 and Legionary, only mayflower available. While I understand the logic behind it, it sucks, I've been waiting forever to get the highjacked versions of those 2 ships and I can't because I'm positive rep with them? 😭

@turbid hinge sounds like you caught a bug. that was indeed a swarm mission, but it shouldn't have been in gifts. contact support, they should be able to fix it so you get the correct gift to start the mirror missions.

I put this in the bug reporting sub, but it is an event issue as well. Several players reporting that defense platforms are not giving power progress on station events. Personally, I reserve defense platforms specifically for station events. I upgraded 2 and used 4 days worth of speed ups only to receive zero progress.

Overall the new update is nice, and I'm enjoying the power boosts to ships and station. People asked for a stronger station and it was given, no need to complain there. Also it's fun to actually complete some missions again.
On the downside, armada events are still terrible. They run far too long, require far too much money and far too much waiting around for little to no rewards. The best part of this whole event was the overhaul ones, which have no reset and quickly finished. Please stop these armada events. They are just boring.

@thorny perch event store has ships for the 2 factions you are friendly with and a hijacked ship for the one you are hostile with. The offerings have something to do with what was overhauled in the update. It's usually safe to assume the event store ends when the event does.

@mild glacier I think what @thorny perch is getting at is that no ships are offered above your level, so for example at lvl 29 you cant opt to buy the level 30 or 32 ships he is working towards and he already has the lvl 28 ships that are presented in the store

This is how sad the Epic Armada rewards are. So we all look at that shiny (getting 99 T2 bps, or officer badges). Now consider what it takes to get 500 epic directives (dozens of hours of time, tons of $$ on buying rare directives) all so you can summon an armada (and scopely encourages you to destroy other players armadas, so you can spend more $$). Consider all that you have to do, now realize the cost to open chest (220 epic to open a single chest). Below is an 8mm Armada. Do a 4 or 5 man, and you cant open a single epic chest

Really? Do you know what it takes to get 500 epic directives? Hint its variable. My one teammate (lvl 39 and spends money like no tomorrow) has about 70. I spent considerably less and do weaker armadas and got to 500. For all the money spent and time spent, you are better off buying a standard 99.99 pack. The ship type pack (explorer, battleship, etc) gices better rewards and its guaranteed
And you are not promised 150 uncommons, you MIGHT get 150 uncommons. And, you have to do 2 for one pull. Do the math. This event stinks. Its also boring. One fight i totally forgot my ship was sitting idle in armada. Plus its still buggy

well if you didnt know they give some players $5 packs where they get 400 uncommon directives and 100 rare directives be able to start an armada
but others that have spent more they "evaluated and give you offers that you would buy"
in which your $50 pack gives you 400 rare armada directives and 400 uncommon directives
and your $100 pack gives 1000 of each
if you do that math the ones spending $100 and $50 are getting insanely ripped off
they should be getting 8,000 uncommon directives and 2,000 rare directives

Getting Armada Directives is like pulling teeth. The last 4 days of opening Uncommon Armada Packs has gotten me no directives. Absolutely no way to try to finish the solo event unless you drop money. I understand Scopely needs to make money but dam, Armadas to me is a failure and I've been looking forward to Armadas since I started almost a year ago.

What i like best about the armadas event is the chance to spend $140 every two days on enough rare directives to finish the events. I have to say that if there were more ways to spend $20 on 15 minutes of gameplay than I would be enjoying myself even more then i am right now.

I love watching armadas gather, pretending to hunt hostiles, then taking out the armada leader with 20 sconds on the timer and warping away. That's such a fantastic target scopely put up there for us to grief! The fan mail is always so plentiful and colorful.

I got 95% of the credits I could get from the event on the first day. I feel like I'm not alone here. Normally on events with a store, there are daily events that one can reasonably work towards. The armada events are not this. There is nothing I can do right now in game to generate directives to do armadas and make any progress in the event. Could you please add some event that players can actively participate in to earn event credits? (or active events not related to the ongoing event store even - anything)

I have one serious recommandation about events .... I think that Armada event is too shor ... And I belive that everyone would appriciate a whole 2 monts long armada event .... Please reconsider it and make it longer .... Its so much fun trying to get into Armada and wait 15 minutes in general for nothing .....

- Scopely isn't concerned about making a top quality (by which I mean, working) game nor keeping their customers happy. Whales still spend $60k+, dolphins still spend $5k+, regardless of various things being broken since the beginning of the game. And new bugs with every single thing they roll out.
$99 for three epic starts? lol. A 7 mil only gives out 330ish credits. So a guy would have to use all three for a single chest pull.
12 mil armadas aren't a lot better.
My server doesn't have 18 mils anymore, they respawned with 34 mils. Impossible.

Just checking in to make sure scopely knows how much we love the armadas events. From the excessive pay to play to the broken spawn points to the extreme length to the mediocre rewards. Really doing a bang up job guys, couldnt be happier.
Also, the pay to play missions are pretty awesome too. I cant imagine not being asked to pay money to do missions, almost none of which exist in the wild. Really top notch use of the last two weeks.

How about you guys make a bonus Uncommon Armada Pack in the alliance store like you did with the rare armada packs. Being able to only buy one per day makes no sense and if you think about it, people will be able to do more armadas and will most likely spend more because their able to use the materials they are gaining them from? Doesn’t that make sense?

I can't find a 'normal' armada for toffee. Please can you update the spawn rate for them? It seems no one is doing the Epic or Rare Armadas and they don't un-spawn and end up clogging up systems.
Also, why in gods name do epic and rare armadas spawn at all in <30 systems? People who do them are whales and thus only hit the higher level ones

I give good feedback where deserved but another armarda event sucks. this is the first time iv been tempted to put a 7 day shield on and camp out from the event. I bet we get another domination event after too (booo). The trick or treat event was great and the recent swarm ones were good too. as a mostly active and f2p alliance these events allowed us to put up a good fight with the whale alliances whist still getting the whales to spend (cuz they are lazy). There are not enough medium uncommon armardas (5 mil power). Loads of epic and rare ones everywhere that no one has any credits to do. This may well be a symptom of my server being so concentrated at a certain level most active players appear to be 26-28 at the moment.

The domination only rewards trit for the non-leaderboard events. How does this help? Trit is good - I'd never turn it down. But it's not what is blocking me from advancing. The lack of 3* resources is what blocks all of us. And without those resources, how can we "gain power" to even get that tritanium?
No comment on the leaderboard events. All leaderboard events are whale-bait. Most of us have no ability to win anything meaningful from them, so they might as well not exist

The Armada Event together with Mirror, Mirror is the most boring event in the last month. Domination doesn't improve it. The Game currently is realy boring. Mirror, Mirror only for money, Armadas only for money. Can't remember when we had last time fraction kill events. Augment and separatist (the one where to kill Bosses) event we're also a Long time ago, but with more and more Players in the Server with ships who could tqkr Part, we need more Systems for such events. I now know why so many high Level Players stopped.

Its sad scopely is driving players away faster the more they want people to spend on a not finished or beta product. If they actually provided a realistic way to acquire directives outside of money packs they might find people returning over leaving.

Armada chests are pretty lack luster. Big whoop, i MIGHT get a hijacked legionary (dont need, i have a centurian). Even if I did need it, what sre thr chances i ever get an amount necesssry to build...zero. basically, you are better off spending money to buy ship packs. My proposal. Instead of giving ship bps, give ship tier wild bps. So lets say you would normally get 5 sally bps, instead u get a 5x t2 bps, which a player can use toeards any t2 ship. That would make rare and epic pulls valuable. Until then, armada is a waste of time.

It's stacked odds, just like everything in the game. Drop tables are watered down with junk to lower the odds of getting what we really want or need. It's all about driving players toward paying for overpriced packs. We are willing to pay to support the game, but we're not paying for junk.

Going to give you a tip, halt Armadas, sit down and re think how to implement it into the game. There's so much dislike for armadas that many players are going to leave the game. From now on every armada event I will put up a long time shield and not log in to the game. The chat is completely overun by Armadas, ppl are feeling left out etc. It could use som sort of admin tool to work but as a mere minimum a chat channel only for armada.

Yeah. I agree. Armadas are ok, if you can find one/have directives but not worth paying over the nose for and after what feels like weeks of trying to find an Armada to do I am very bored of them... Domination events are also pretty lame, but I can tolerate them as I don't need to do anything.

Armadas are easy to find and most of the time available. The annoying thing is if you have directives and somebody interfere your armada you loose your directive. Why then someone should buy directives? Have some player on the server kill the armada leader then you definetly lose money. So pretty much this becomes worthless. Scopely should refund the directives if the leader is getting killed by a player

So just curious, will Scopely remove all the ill gotten gains from those who took advantage of the Auger Glitch when Armadas first started? Or compensate the rest of us? It's great having to compete against an alliance where all the players now have epic ships because of it.
Probably not since only the 'elite spenders' had an Auger. Another example of how the TOU only applies to the poor.

I'm curious what scopely's view is of the apparent tactic in call to arms events for clans to kick a few people and then raid them to gain a huge lead. Is this even possible from a technical perspective, or viewed as unethical? If doable, is it possible to counter via patch?

mining monday isn't really a playable event. you're doing that anyway, and there are nowhere near enough g3 nodes still, so it's still a slugfest for mining rights...don't go zero or over protection for even a second...ever...if you see a ship sitting next to your miner, kill it immediately.

I'm sure many would rather have non-mining events, but it has decent rewards and is something you can actively participate in. I didn't participate much, but only because it was up against call to arms. Call to arms rewards were actually not nearly as good, considering the effort involved, but raiding is quite fun and it was quite the amusing diversion after the couple of no-event weeks we had

Mining mondays are pretty good for rewards. I love the steel and uncommon rewards as you need so much of the stuff past lvl28. I dont need to mine that much g3 to get the top tier, and if you sit on latinum nodes overnight in a horizon you can build a stockpile ready for the event switchover. Oh, you also dont have to mine g3 as you still score points for trit so easily doable imho.

@open otter my alliance usually jumps 100's of millions in the lead in the first few minutes. we plan it that way. final tallies usually end up in the billions between us and one, maybe 2 other alliances.
all it takes is one member getting raided to change that though. there have been times where we've been raiding each others members at the same time, and even jumped in on defense and hit the guys raiding. winner usually has the most surveys or faction miners present.
