I will agree and say the last two events are by far the best so far... my feedback on the current event is add some trit and dil to it so we aren’t losing rss to gain uc and faction credits.. the raiding prospects are pretty dried up again. And please for the love of god fix the repair times !!!

@prime gulch , some general feedback on this event. So in my many years of PC mmo and arpg gaming, the whole purpose of the game is to keep people playing the game. Content and having stuff to do is the main driver. You want players to play. One of the reasons WoW gained popularity through the Lich King release was the idea that through enough grinding the average player could potentially achieve end-game content. Not everyone, and it takes a lot of grinding, but it is possible.
With STFC, especially in this release, I’m actually finding it where I have nothing to do. I’ll put a screenshot to illustrate what I’m talking about. I can’t fix my Kehra because of the tritanium demands. The ship was destroyed because I’m trying to push the event. I’ve got one envoy mining parsteel, tritanium and gas so I can get ships fixed, dailies done, etc. And my North Star able to take a couple 26 survey, 25 survey and then I have to repair.
My base can’t generate enough resources, mining tritanium even with the right crew caps at 5k/hour for me, it’s faster for me to farm hostiles that drop tritanium and leverage tritanium hunting, but even that takes time and resources.
Look, I’m just saying in the grand scheme of things, just a “little” bit more balance would be appreciated. How about some normal resources at each tier of the faction event? Dilithium, Tritanium, and Parsteel? It allows players to keep up with the grind.
Of all of the events, I love the PvE concept, but the execution makes this the worst event that I’ve seen so far given the cost to the average player. Just my $0.02.

The fighters that show up in hostile systems are way too aggressive. They spawn with like 15 seconds to react after a 10 minute warp from across the galaxy. I can't sit and stare at my screen while my battery dies, there's no game os notification for ship arrival, and setting a stopwatch timer isn't always precise enough. Now I have a 2 hour repair time with zero points towards this dumb faction event.

@azure epoch set a timer to 1min less than the warp time, also unless you send your ship to a specific location in the system there will always be a random factor of where in the system the ship goes to and therefore warp time can be anywhere between couple of seconds to over a minute shorter than the total time

I literally did exactly that, but a different ship needed attention plus I have a job, so my attention was diverted for an extra minute and the ship died

I play plenty of games which demand constant attention, and others which are more idle friendly. This is in weird middle zone which punishes extended attention with abject boredom, and punishes missed timing with material or opportunity loss. Forget to reset a miner down to the second after hours of nothing? Dead ship and no more mining. Don't babysit a ship entering a hostile system after 10+ minutes warp? Dead ship and no combat. Repair bills, wait times, missing event deadlines. It's enough to drive players away!

It would be a great event if spawns were handled better. As it is, literally every faction system that could possibly contain level 26 hostiles looks like this.
Very few people like hunting the transports because they deal twice the damage of other ships and tank your reputation more than 3x as much. Also due to the time repairs take as well as the return on investment of hunting, it's simply not worth hunting anything less than 20 point hostiles (which virtually never exist anywhere in the galaxy).
It's very frustrating having to race 8 other players to a single hostile the moment it spawns...provided you're lucky enough to have someone hunting the lower level hostiles.
The rewards are good, but the grind is virtually intolerable. If you can even manage to max out a single faction event it takes nearly all day of constant grinding.

The last event was excellent, exactly how an event should be. This event is punishment for the last event as its sucking dry the resources that we gained. Events should be at the very least resource neutral.

That is a matter of perspective. For lvl 20s it was too difficult and it sucked RSS to repair. We could only hit lvl 20 and lvl 21 Hostiles to make our ships last longer, and for what? 1 pt?

@open otter I don't have a Kehra, only Talla, Phindra and Envoy. Not sure what server you are on, but the one I am on it was a frenzy... had to totally compete with everyone in the same Romulan System of Davidul (20) and it was like pulling teeth trying to get hits.

Yeah thats why it happens all the time, try to time a level up (even levels only) during a alliance domination event or a miner event where the rewards won't change, and you'll get time to start working on the ships

Probably said this here already but the current Alliance event and several of the past ones. SUCK if you are not lvl18+. Prior to the Kahn insert I do not rmember any of the Alliance events being lvl restrikted. I know I helped on the last Golden trophies becuase I ave several.

Kehra is actually a very useful ship if you utilize the combat triangle and crew properly. It cuts through far stronger battleships like a hot knife through butter.
Vahklas appears to be far less useful as it's a huge resource hog even at tier 1.

The resources required to repair Kehra or Vaklas are huge. 35k of trittanium to fully repair Vaklas. 25k of trittanium to fully repair Kehra. And the huge repair time. 1h 55m for Vaklas. 1h 30m for Kehra. The last event was very difficult for me. I'm level 24 and in order to achieve the goals I had to hunt only 28 level Klingon ships.

Right now, with my best crew, Kehra is at 100k strength and Vaklas at 150k of strength. With the same crew the Northstar is at 109k of strength.
But the Northstar cargo is extremely low. 5500 units of cargo.

As much as everyone seems to have left it behind, my Jelly is still the most combat effective ship for hostile hunting as far as ROI goes. Reasonable repair time, relatively cheap repair cost, and pretty good durability.

for lvl 26-28 hostiles it's not bad. I can kill about 50% more hostiles with the jelly than the Kehra in the same amount of time.
Obviously that utility will decrease when i need to fight higher level hostiles, but for the next level or two at least it'll still probably be my go-to hunter.

That's about the way it works. You can't mine at all during prime hours unless you enjoy having your miner smashed every 30 seconds.
Most of the server has graduated to g3 and there are very few nodes so it's just a slugfest of everyone trying to finish dailies.

This faction hunt event has been pretty terrible. I don't have hours on end to dedicate towards grinding, and with a daily reset of thresholds the top rewards are always out of reach. Babysitting ships in hostile systems is also super annoying when fighters attack immediately after a long warp regardless of whether you have the game open. To make the grinding worse, I was focusing Klingon and need to kill lvl 28 hostiles, but there is no lvl 28 system, only a 27 and 29, and both of them constantly are devoid of 28's with multiple players all racing to kill one when it spawns, assuming it's actually the right class in the combat triangle. This is a total backslide from the relatively fun previous event where fighters weren't an issue and all the hostiles spawned at the same level.
Also the event store is still stuck on Khan so the trophies from the current event cannot be used

Well, statistically if the number of players are near the same there should be an almost equal chance of any alliance winning provided they have enough miners out. The issue is the incredible power difference on our server. The whales all banded together and pretty much dominate everything all the time.

It's not just the burst events that are really poorly timed, all the limited time leaderboard events that have good rewards are always at times where it's virtually impossible to play. Always in the middle of the night or early morning on weekdays when most people are either sleeping or at work. The planning manager needs to be fired, like 6 months ago.

I'm so tired of having officers or officer pack shards as reward pay outs for grueling alliance events. The players that are able to win these events don't need officers shards, they need hundreds if not thousands of UC 3* resources.
I haven't had any real mission content since the missions needed to unlock Augment space, and am just twiddling my fingers waiting for the next opportunity to click refine and get 36 common ore over and over again.. The only hope is for something like redeeming a 30 day loyalty chest to get a fraction of the UC I need for something like an Operations upgrade. That's what 30 days of loyally playing your game nets us, not even 1/6 of the amount of UC materials needed for ops 27 for instance, and thats if I choose to ignore research, ships, and other buildings...

The solo mining event for ops 20 is a joke and the rewards are horrible for said event. 1.2m points needed for top tier I finished that with a day and a half left both times and the top reward doesn’t help in any way. 2 parasteel tokens? As an ops 20 I don’t need tritanium at all? Or dilithium? I mean honestly the rewards for tritanium and dilithium were a drop in the bucket and didn’t come close to covering the costs of actually mining on my server because of all the miner deaths.

Mining events just make it impossible to mine for most of us. Just an excuse for most of the big alliances to break ROE and make it impossible for the rest. They also highlight the fact that there are not nearly enough mining nodes for the amount of players.

Also, where is the bonus refining? How about just ADJUST the refining to a fixed amount depending upon the level of your refinery?

For 3* refining 1 batch is 1750; 2 batches is 12k; 3 batches is 75k.
That scale is a bit steep and the returns are per 1750...
That means for 3 batches, we should be getting 42.85 chance packs... does not seem to be happening.

The domination of rewards are rep points, there are a few kahn shared but it dont really feel worth it to do all that mining. Bad news is Uncommons don’t unlock until Level 24, so your BB will get capped at Tier 4. But at least the Devs make it easy to say, this is good enough and go work on a different ship. 😉

Seeing the new Hijacked ships and the rewards fer this event I am guessing that the next event is gonna be fer those ships bp's and will require a high or maxed Augment rep so this event is there mostly to raise ones Aug rep before the next event.

There are far too few decoded data nodes on my server. Alternatively there's far too many lvl30+ players that i have no chance of killing, who will take one node with their BB, another with horizon, and 3rd with a battleship just in case someone they like turns up. Events rewards were poor enough that i wasn't going to bother, and now i can see that i can't participate even if i wanted to.

Event is junk. There are huge players mining over 200K per hour. At my level I can barely manage 10 percent of that. I could mine the entire length of the event, and not even come close to producing what the whales will mine in a few hours. Not worth even participating. And don't get me started on the lousy rewards.

Events should be tailored better to players lvl. The same alliances and people win over and over again because its a mass competition rather than within certain tiers. If we compete more against who we are closer to we have a better chance of winning the massive prizes.

There needs to be some penalty for not using BB on data nodes. Leaderboard makes it impossible to even complete solo event as too many high levels are putting warships and horizons on the data nodes. I just can't compete.

I've been noticing a few ships that are given out during events to those at the top of the leaderboards. While it just seems to be cosmetic changes I do hope they may go on sale in a year or so for the rest of us to acquire them.

The BB is expensive (ops level and rep limits on plutonium, plus you can only build 1 of them) and has low protected cargo, which means most people are parking envoys on data nodes and mining like 10x slower than they could be. Ruining this event!
Trying to mine with the new upgraded BB means 15 min warp, 30 min mining until over cargo, then either an hour of repair from getting blasted or 15 min warp back. At least the repair can use speedups to cut the cycle time down a bit.

@prime gulch I don’t know why they do the mining focused events. It’s not Khan, it’s more data mining. You don’t have enough 3* mining nodes for everyone, and even less data nodes. When you have a faction like in my server who monopolizes all of the nodes, there is no way to compete. When we were mining 3*, I barely got my dailies done. Now I can’t even get to the data nodes. Bring back the faction warring where it actually paid off to participate. Make more reasonable missions or mission based events. If you have to have mining events, make it so no one can have more than one node, or no more than 5 of the same alliance in a system. That would give everyone a chance.
AS AKWAYS: Fix your refinery output for rare and uncommon too.

To get the augment Mayflower, I would need 80bps, which in the store would cost me 288k tokens.
If I completed the "daily" every time (all 4 tiers = 108mil pts), I get 16.2k tokens.
It would take me almost 18 cycles to complete.
At current pace, it took me 2 hours straight (grinding elites consistently) to get 13mil points, which would be about 20 hours straight to get to the top tier of 108mil.
Does $copely even try to do these calculations to see what's attainable or do they just throw darts to see what the prices should be?

On top of the event being impossible, but they released ship packs...a bortas pack with a third bps required plus uc ore and crystal.
This, 2 days after I finally got my bortas, using up all my saved Klingon credits, buying 2 officer packs just to get credits, then grinding through dailies to get the remaining credits needed to buy the final dozen or so bps I needed, ruining my relationship with the feds in the meantime...
And instead I could've just bought 2 of these new packs and save the hassle?

So I've done the maths and come to the conclusion that this event sucks. At level 27 I need to kill 434 ships for the solo milestones. At 16.2 k tokens per day I can I get a total of 31 shards for Carol Marcus, 31 BPs for a ship or 130 G3 ore, gas or crystal. In short alot of work and rss spent for nothing to show for it

Allow me to say again that this event stinks. I can either grind 22s for chests, take ages, and stand a chance of hitting the leaderboard, or suicide my kumari against bosses till i get top solo reward, 0 points on leaderboard, and actually go and do something INTERESTING with my time. As a lvl27, having multiple event objectives with mutually exclusive ways to achieve them is really not fun.
Let's also mention that the token costs for mayflower and saladin are the same, which makes it a really easy choice to ignore the reskinned payflower. I was hoping i'd have some fun with it on this event, but as i can't get the full 80 inside the event it's pointless farming it part way.

@smoky pebble the first time this event cane up I was LVL 28 and had to get 90m power distroyed. Approx 2000 lvl 22s. Now it's 108M at LVL 31 and I can kill 1.5 bosses per repair...I could not even do the event at all last time as had rushed to 28. Make sure you power up ships before Ops...

I can't recall there ever being an event where one could get an entire ship from that alone.
Even the first Act of War - my one true love - only provided about 60 NS blueprints for example.
I'm sure there will be more ways to obtain blueprints and complete the hijacked ships after the events have finished.
i got Mayflower and Legionary F2P from their introductory events, Red D3 from the next AOW, also earned NS and BB free in their respective introductory events
crunching the numbers looks like can only earn 35/80 prints for the hijacked ships, so hopefully there's something else we just don't know about yet

both doesnt matter cause the burn is a captains ability so double burn doesnt help , unless arix gives a 20% bonus instead of 10% like the others in a bridge crew position

Would much appreciate no limit/cooldown on the G3 resources. I'm L23 so can't do any blueprints, so I'm just trying to upgrade Vahklas. I could only get 9 before 24 hour cooldown kicked in.

I'm just doing simple math on a 7 day event if you can only buy 3 prints a day that's only 21 prints sooooo what freaking gives hijacked Mayflower and regular are different on ship building. Which basically tells everyone. The only Mayflower you can get in this event would cost 2 $99.99 regular Mayflower packs. #madmoneygrab

@prime gulch. With not being disrespectful to the team, who came up with the rewards for the event. 1 uncommon crystal is 870 tokens??? Is that correct? In addition alliance rewards for a collective effort 1440 tokens and a handfull of recruit tokens. Disappointing, the last event gave more rewards, what has happened to this event? Event feedback = event sucks. Only ranked pvp? Dumb. Easy pve for minimal tokens and no res? Dumb. Prices in the event store are seriously inflated. Dumb. New ships that are copies of crap that we already have and are unobtainable. Dumb.
The last event had me thinking this game was evolving and maybe actually going in the right direction. How you could do a complete 180 and backtrack so far so quickly is actually impressive in its stupidity.

Act of War 2 sucks. You can not even get bp if you grind the entire event. Mayflower $200. You should give bp away and make money on packs to upgrade. This is utter crap.
The way the game is, still with all of it’s issues, buying these packs is like Dollar Tree selling merchandise for $100 not $1.

Just amazed how they wouldnt think the community would react negatively... You go from khan + Mara shards + 300 uc + some rares a day to I bought 4 cent bps and 6 decius shards... But 1 UC for 850 tokens... Unless they forgot a couple 00s at the end of these rewards.... Completely horrid..

Also I've just seen the event token on sale for £50 which gives about a days worth - completely tone deaf to try and sell more when all the feedback has been how miserly the rewards are

In my opinion the rewards at part I were too high. most people who complain just want to have everything right now without effort and when they got it, they will complain again. these are the same people who played computer games on easy mode only. I think all rewards are ok with one exception.
The Hijacked Ship Blueprints are trash at the moment. You cant even get close to a ship and so far, there is no other free to play option to get more blueprints. we dont even know if we can optain (realitically - without first position in a ranking Event) them in upcoming events. I still have some normal useless leginonary and d3 blueprints from the very first "boss" event. Since then, there was no realistic way to get even close to one of these ships and this event was months ago.
One more stupid thing is not making harrison avaible again. The biggest players could get him at the last event and now scopely avoids that new players can even come close to their power level. He's arguably the best bridge officer on the by far best lvl 28 ship in the game. If they want some balance they should either make him available for everyone or reduce is officer ability. I would prefer both options together.

2nd problem with a PvP leaderboard is there is no problem for the 35-39s with their 800k-1.2 mill ships sit there and just kill u all day while u try and kill bosses
Since I am 30 with 370ish / 430ish faction ships I cant even scratch the paint..

This is another horrible I event and even worse than the two previous two non-mining events. The scaling per level is ridiculous at least if you are in the mid to upper 20's in level range. The rewards are not worth the resources needed for repairs. I'm questioning whether to continue playing or not like many others, but I'm not spending any more $$ until some serious improvements are made.

I do like the event at lv27. There’s a grind component but it’s not obnoxious... just enough to entertain and provide some great PvP opportunities.
The Saladin pay pack is a great value if you’re still chasing BPs for that ship.
Though, I am uncertain how I could attain the vanity hijacked ships. Doesn’t seem to be enough time and tokens to purchase sufficient quantities of BPs, and I don’t see a way to make up the difference with a paid pack.

This event for me at 27 boils down to suicide against the boss 3 times a day, and then grind a few 22s to make the last few hundred K up. It's boring. I can't compete on either solo or alliance leaderboard as i get 0 points for suiciding against the bosses, and if i were to kill the lvl22s all the way instead i'd need to give up my job to have enough time. The rewards feel bad value - some of that is having to click for each uncommon one by one i'm sure. I don't understand why the saladin costs as much as the mayflower per BP - it feels like unless you read here and realise how much the payflower sucks, you'll accidentally buy the wrong ship.
You've still failed to detail how many days this event will last for, whether there'll be any bonus days, so no one has any idea if they'll be able to complete a hijacked ship - all i'm doing is buying saladin blueprints which i can't use till i beat the refinery boss and level up. I'm running low on trit and dil as none is given away with the event milestones, and i feel like i'm potentially missing out on getting as many ship bps as i can if i spend any tokens on paying for repairs.

From lvl 19 to 20 my lvl 17 seperatist ship s gave 2pnts per damage yesterday today they give 1.. Is this purposely designed for higher level players??? Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh

@hearty harnessly Do you guys notice that you continue to make rewards worse with every event? On the last mining event, you took away the special refinery.
On this new event, you have made it completely impossible to get enough tokens for a new hijacked ship or anything worthwhile. There is literally only one Solo event that people will earn tokens from and the other leaderboard events only go to the people who have lvl 35+ players in them with 1,000,000+ power ships that make every other casual spender or f2p player want to quit. Your ultimate goal should be to equalize the playing field to give these huge spenders some kind of competition. With this, it should mean the smaller players should be given opportunities to earn materials to catch up to these players. Right now, all your giving us is a rock to fight a tank. It’d be nice if the devs would provide better incentives to keep playing. As of now, you just keep getting worse. What do you plan to do to change?

Players spending thousands will abruptly stop when they login one day and find that there is no one else to play with. I’ve seen numerous heavy spenders stay #1 for months and then quit because they have nothing to do and no reason to continue to play. If you don’t continue to have growth and a competitive edge, the game will come to an abrupt end.

I think the point requirement for the highest tier reward and all tiers beneath that is slightly on the absurd level. Don’t get me wrong, the reward is magnificent in the end. The one we got faction points was great. but no doubt when they do that one again there's no way they're going to give that many faction points again.
Part 1 of this event was good the PVP rewards were great. Rewards in general were much better than this. part 2 isn't worth the time

The biggest problem with this event is the store, you can't simply spend the points you earn, you are limited to one or two purchases of any given item. FAIL!
