The anomaly event is trash. Just scrap it and admit you screwed up. Like you screw up with every "update." Idk who is a part of the stfc think tank but they all need to be replaced. You start out with good ideas then screw up every single time. It's quite comical how how you are losing players to eve in droves yet you still can't get out of your own way.

By in large, the outlaw research benefits the botany bay (big whoop...) and the stella, or "vs exchange" targets. That limits its usefulness to doing just its own content.
If you like it, great. But, the majority of people I have talked to really truly dislike the outlaw content and arc.

The upgrade your station events are a little unbalanced for lower levels. I had 31 ops in process, pushed it. Then realized I needed to push a LOT to get to 32 ops, I did a few upgrades after and thought I'd be good... until I realized it's not counting 3* rares.
10 points for uncommon only, 0 points for rare... I would need to do 1000 3* uncommon to get the 1st tier... not dropping that much money on a single event.

The discovery event is god awful. The game fills free time, it shouldn't demand your time. Forcing players to be in the game during a specific time frame... is not what many of us are looking for. To many tiers to many points required to complete in a 24 hr period. Unreasonable expectation. If this continues I am leaving this game,and taking my disposable income with me. Never again.

So I just watched "The Social Dilemma". That thing about "attention" made me think about the recent developments by Scopely. Namely the Aug data-node changes and the most recent Anomalous Phenomena and spore mining.
Clearly these are designed to have the players be ON and very attentive at all times. A few seconds, a minute and a half ... and then you HAVE to move your miner. Not that you mined much, it's just that you have to move it now.
Ilmatar's big nodes are good, and thanks for putting that bac on track.
However, I think that I do resent the recent changes to game play in that they tend to force me to be online and attentive for far too much of the day.
It's also quite the whip ... ermm ... nudging device ... that now we have to wait for these bloody anomalous phenomena every time the hour changes. No, that isn't good.
And I think that in the long run you'll find that people will tire of the game's demands on us. Geez, just the incessant, neverending, grinding one needs these days is bad enough, but at least I can do those a bit here and there throughout the say.
Don't demand this of the players. You have to be able to come and go.

Great work on this Scopely give us a new ship that requires super special parts to upgrade. Give us a refinery/slot machine. That has so much other junk in it. With no information on % of what it gives on the CHANCE of getting of what. With a 24 hr cool down. Did a max pull and didn’t even get enough to upgrade one part out of 4 parts. On a Tier 1 Disco at that. IF I could do a max pull daily. IF I got the 70 each time. It would be about 8 days to get ONE part upgraded. Your chokehold on material and specialty parts is killing the game for many players.

Why does Pike’s CM show that it works with Stonn’s OA, but when you base raid the max you pull is as if Pike’s CM wasn’t affecting Stonn? Also, when Pike has synergy his CM appears to be affecting Stonn’s OA even more, but nope!

@formal stag Regarding the Strengthen your Station event, please make a screenshot of your event screen showing how you scored points for increasing your Operations center but did not get the full milestone.
Then, please contact CS and send it to them. If you already have done so but were declined compensation, please open a new ticket and include the screenshot (again). They will be able to help you out this time around. 👍

I think it was a bit bugged, if you were sitting on the ops up button and hit it as soon as that event popped up then usually you'd get the new version of the event with the old version at the same time
But if you scored in the event before upgrading ops you'd keep the old event
I upgraded to ops 32 and didn't get any increase in the event

- when i log in after a while, all the reports are shown what happened during the period i wasnt online. Sry but not interesting. But it makes it difficult to click on the faction area for example.
- can there be a safety thing in faction store for those avatars you can buy. They cost 6400 credits which i will never buy but i am terrified to click on it by accident while trying to scroll down. Just name it View and fron there you can buy it.....

I'm afraid to go over level 14, as pvp is already bad enough on this game. Someone comes along who you have no hope of defending against, there's nothing you can do. Especially considering the afk nature of this game, you're just a sitting duck.

So the sudden shut down was because some people were able to get some extra resource while scrapping. So interrupt the entire day mid 15 min event vs giving people a 30 or even 10 minute warning.
You’re taking their resources away to be fair but going to have to compensate everyone, including them, for the lost time. What a waste. (And no, I’m not benefiting from the Stella error.)
Seriously though, do you have a QA team who run repeatable tests on existing content as well as the new content/game mechanics in a given release? How do things like this get past unit testing with the developers?

I really hope not. Will be pissed. Was not given a chance to set a 24 hour shield has really irritated me. Could of given 1-2 notice before jumping maintenance mode, give some/most people noticed and even an in game message warning or a fast unscheduled down time. 1-2 hours would make no difference to them but an massive difference to us.

I was in the process of swapping ships around so as to not go opc when you started the maintenance! My miners went opc during your emergency maintenance! So when the game came back up my ship was killed by a player that doesn't care about shields! I lost 12.7K in latinum! Your maintenance chest doesn't compensate me for that! current (old) bug list:
- Phantom ships at the spawn positions (there is no fault with the device, even after the app has been completely deleted, these phantoms are reloaded from the server)
- Phantom ships in the new anomaly system can even fly around, but cannot be clicked.
- Attack errors (especially with killing events) if you aim at another target while the ship is fighting and attack as soon as the attack button is released, the ship attacks first, but since the spam provides a lot of information, that appears too victory ribon is delayed and as soon as this appears the attack is canceled.
- Refinery: it still makes no difference whether you open a chest or 3 chests, the content does not change, and the yield of the refinery has not increased since 5 levels, so why should I expand the refinery if it has no effect Has?
The game needs a major overhaul and a new HUD .:
- There are too many queries and random calculations, works with fixed values like other game manufacturers!
example: the cargo at NPC and Armardas, and the respawn of the NPC. Fixed values such as 8 ships lvl 35 and 8 ships lvl 36 in a system with a fixed value for the freight each make the game more stable! - If the HUD were redesigned, there would be enough space for everything, and the info ribon could have its own fixed area without disturbing the play area, some elements can be made smaller, and the entire collection and event area could be its own Colaps menu is hidden so it's way too cluttered. I can also create a proposal for it if Scopely is interested.

Unlike others, I don't abuse the developers, but the corporate structure. The developers have no freedom of choice and are forced by the company to develop the game further and further, errors are only sparsely fixed. If Scopley would act normally and not hope for payment extensions, they would give the developer 1-3 months to properly fathom the errors and correct them, or, as already mentioned, to revise the HUD, which also causes many errors .. But no! One extension after the other is violently beaten out every month, no other developer must does that! Just Scopely Force them to that.

Unlike the others here who blame the developers, I know that they can't help it, they are too little, don't get enough time, and at the same time have to take care of other company projects. Other companies have a permanent team for their flagships, and listening to their developers, if there are problems, a release will be postponed until it is ripe for the public. at Scopley the deadline is set and then it is brought online, regardless of whether it is finished .. with this time pressure there is simply no time for the correct bug fix, but only for plasters and chewing gum. And that's also the reason why old bugs that have actually already been fixed, come back with new patches, such as the phantom ships, or that when you go to localize the ship, you zoom in to the maximum.
Maybe the CM's should pass on the mood and the fact that the developers are given more time directly to Scopley!

One thing that really needs to change is the refinery. When you can open 2 chests with prime refining (total 3 chests) and still get 0 uncommon or rare materials, something needs to change. It's a refinery not a casino. Let's take the chance out of it and make guaranteed drops depending on ops level. If you want to boost those guarantees with a bonus chance materials as well, fine by me.
At ops level 35 and tier 7+ rare faction ships, the uncommon (uc) mats are in very high demand. 2000 uc mats for one single component. And I can't get 1 to drop out of the refinery. This is why players quit playing when the reach ops 30+. I can't compete with the wallet warriors for ranked events, so I can't get the freebies they do from them. So I have to rely on the refinery.

I just got a double rare cell pull after 7 or 8 regular cells, I thought I had it bad. The Ferengi Trader is rare enough to then be cheapened with the horrible refine rates.

The discovery mission with alien metal in discovery refinery stirred an idea that there shound be a mechanic that gets expanded on ..outlaw/salvaged parts ... it would be nice 4 research to unlock ablity to collect metal from all types of hostiles ..alien metal from new hostiles ..augment, swarm, outlaw/rogue, borg,one each faction ..use discovery to refine metal to broke part then parts refinery..faction parts would get the discounts from part faction not ship faction .. .augment/borg make upgraded item more powerful, swarm part make weapon better against swarm(but disadvantage against everything else),outlaw part similar to swarm better against eclipse hostiles/armada, lastly alien parts boost weapon pvp power like swarm/eclipse.. discovery with pvp boosted weapons would make attacking it an unknown risk!

That should be a 25 ops research. I am not going above 31 till I get enough uncommon crystals for research, station and multiple ships upgrades.

Mining and refinery is supposed to be our primary method of getting G3 uncommon gas ore and crystal. I’m ops 35 and I average 7 uncommon per refine so two a day gives me an average of 14 uncommon per day. I need 4000 uncommon gas to take my B’rel from tier 6 to tier 7. At this rate it would take 285 days to acquire the uncommon gas for a simple tier up. This is ridiculous. I know there are uncommons available in daily events but there are also other ships, buildings and research to do that require uncommon. Yes I can get uncommon from armadas and Stella scrapping but that is also extremely time consuming. Don’t bother suggesting I buy packs in the store! I already do and that is incredibly expensive.and the packs are of such poor value I would have to spend 600 dollars to get the 4000 uncommon. I pick and choose carefully what’s gonna benefit me the most and the higher my ops the worse the value gets. I give you money. I put in the work. Please reward me and the 1000’s of other players just like me. Please!!!

Something really needs to be done about the amounts of resources needed, it’s a joke and we’re now and I’m not alone spending 12hours a day just mining. The returns from the Refinery are pathetic for 12thousand refined you’re lucky if you get 200 back. This is really spoiling STFC And needs to be sorted ASAP.
With the increasing number of Officers/Factions that require specialised crews etc, Could there be another place other than Docking Bays where we could assemble Officers/Crews. Only being able to assign Officers to Docking Bays is Very limiting. Every time we want to change a Crew or it’s make up for special events, We have to make a list of existing Officers before individually removing them in order that they can be replaced once special mission is concluded, we have to go through same procedure with the Specialised Crew/Officers. I and I’m not alone find this existing procedure a real Bind. As once you’ve Established a whole grouped Crew/Officers say The Enterprise Group or Miners Group etc to keep having to make lists or refer to lists to change whole Crews/Officers/Groups is not satisfactory. Could we not have a Barracks/Crew Quarters etc where we could assemble Alternate Crews. I asked other players Admirals who think my idea has merit and would be a very useful tool/addition to game play. I hope you don’t mind my using this platform for the idea as I was uncertain how else to put forward this suggestion. Thank you for your time

Ferengi Traders - the refine rate of once every five days is ridiculous. I have 10 built up at the moment and can't do much with them. Also the prizes for refining are ridiculous. The last 5 I have refined have given me parsteel and transwarp tokens. Why would I want the transwarp token when i get two of them free per day. the drop rate of the rares is far too low.

I gave up on the Discovery. It feels like I (and many other players) subscribed to the "ship of the month" club. As a level 27 player, I see value in the other event ships that came out over the past year or so:
- D'Vor - Latinum ('nuff said, although we should have Ferengi Crew to improve our Latinum mining)
- Franklin - Allows me to meet and obtain repair speed-ups through killing swarm vessels.
- Vi'Dar - Scaled down Saladin or D3 replacement that doesn't require Faction Reputation and Credits (I can spend my credits on crew or save for a bigger ship)
- Stella - Capable lvl 26 battleship that can run alongside my hijacked legionary when hunting faction hostiles
Respectfully, I don't see the benefit to yet another event ship, especially when the event ships are limited in their upgradability. I would also rather use my g3 refines on ships that will be more capable than the event ships. Give us more to do with the ships we have already obtained. Also, give upcoming players (low to mid 20's) the ability to earn the Vi'Dar and Stella through other themed events.
Just a note on the Hijacked ships - I am thoroughly disappointed in the Rare Plutonium requirement to tier the ship beyond T5. With Rare Plutonium only being available in quantity to a lvl 30+ player, the ship is effectively capped to T5. I cannot see myself doing any upgrades to a lvl 26 ship when I am a lvl 30+ player.
For now, the Discovery will simply sit in the display case, like the models of ships in Picard's Ready Room.

@delicate sentinel @tepid nimbus Just an FYI - I've decided today to leave the game. It wasn't the bugs, the outrageous prices, or even the copy paste content. It's the PVP. The spread is too big and the lack of resources has turned my server 36 into a bunch of starving predators. There's no way to change servers, and even if there were the same PVP environment awaits there. When I as a level 30 can one shot a level 22, it's no longer a challenge. It's a slaughter. Even if they wanted to reasonably fight back, it would take them literally thousands of dollars to get to my level to do it. Frankly, the game itself is broke. It's sad. I love startrek but this game has nothing more to do with what is trek beyond the logo.

McCoy's officer ability is that he increases the Captain Maneuver by 8%? So if a Captain Maneuver increases attack by 10%, McCoy adds another 8, to make it 18%?
But it doesn't seem to work on miners. The mining rate of any node doesn't change with McCoy's help.
If his ability only affects offensive abilities, it should say so. Otherwise, I want my extra 8% to mining speed.

Fix PVP mechanics. There is no reason a lvl 50 player should be able to hit a lvl 32 player. Fix this to be a range of +/- 2 lvl ops. Also, auction events need to be broken down even more to more competitive ops lvls.

Just a general observation and frustration this game has the worst customer service of any game like this I’ve ever played. When you have an issue and you open a ticket they (Scopely) never address your issue. They feed you some copy pasta about forwarding your ticket and then close it. I hear you there...I realize that scopely is in the business to make money...not at all upset about it. What plexuses me is when they created the whole 40+ realm...its like they said ok....let's see just how much you want it...they quadrupled the cost of station upgrades....made it so we have very little chance to raid the rss we need because it would cost us two packs worth of trit to crack a base that "might" have enough rss to upgrade one thing...they make us upgrade USELESS vaults and generators...they make us do research on those useless vaults and generators in order to level..they created 4* ships we can't use effectively because of the cost to repair....instead of fixing all of this...at the very least...fixing it to make it not so blatantly silly...they decide ...hey...heard you guys were grinding bps for those awesome new ships we can't afford to use in the home systems....so nope...changing that...no more grinding there...gonna add some miners that you won't beat...the fix to all this? Awarding more RSS to ops 40+ will be a really bad move...
Par, trit and dil are one of the materials which can be passed on by raids, meaning when they inject some amount of par or trit or dil, they aren't injecting it just to ops 40+, they are injecting it to the server. With time there will be one of these possibilities :

an excess of rss: The low level players will gain more rss eventually through raids and stuff, and when you have so much rss that you don't need to worry about grinding them, then there is no meaning for those items. If you removed par trit and dil at that point in game, low level players still won't be affected at all since they never worried about them.

a lack of resources: the frequency of raiding by ops 40+ will increase, causing them to raid and use up rss while the lower level ones will face a shortage
The solution is either to wait till the average player in the server reaches a higher ops, and when there are thousands of ops 35+ players with at least 100M trit each, then you will have a good supply of trit within the server. Another solution is to reduce the cost itself for repairs through research or buffing the bonuses provided by docks by a huge amount

Adding more non transferable rewards and stuff like materials or lat or credits and so on do not require as much thoughts as adding transferable goods, since it becomes a complex issue where predicting how the server will evolve, becomes difficult

Hi, I'm at lvl39, and I've never received an epic bp from any chests. Others in my allianc, many levels below me regularly receive epic bps and have had epic ships for some time. I've had to resort to converting fed credits and buying fed packs to eventually get an enterprise to allow me to now access the assension event. This has severely disadvantaged my progress and I'd appreciate understanding how this can be?

So its not possible for you to have much of an idea what I personally need to upgrade my stuff...without being told or attempting to figure it out via lcars. My suggestion.....prior to lending opinions about issues a player might bring up here....ask what their level is and the level that is creating issues. Personally....if a level 46 brought up an issue....I'd keep my mouth shut and HOPE that their post brought about some good change....

Warp paths hold the warp requirement... Not the systems they connect. The warp path between babel and wolf has a warp 47 requirement. If you use a ship that is warp 47+, you will be able to use the short route.
Similarly the warp path from wolf to Barnard is only warp 8. If you havent already noticed it, this provides an opportunity... Particulalty on a Monday. 🤫

I'm level 28 in the game and the $20 and $50 monthly pack options aren't there for me anymore. I've already spoken to support about this, and gotten essentially non-answers about how packs change now and then. I like this game and I don't mind paying money, but I'm just not going to drop $100 a month on a pack. To me, money is money so I don't see why we couldn't always have an option of any of the three.
On a similar note, I'd like to see those packs geared towards the level of the player. At level 28, I don't care about 2* crystal/gas/ore.

Thoroughly annoying when returning to game to recall a mining ship. And at the second you press the recall button, it changes to repair with latinum and you lose 500 latinum without any control on the matter. I wish I had the option to remove the option to repair with lat altogether. 😡

We need a new source of speedups (or those that come in the 10min chests to scale to our level - a 1min speedy doesn't go very far towards the 6 hour repair time for the level of ship required to compete in these events). Personally, I can repair my ship 6 more times today and then I'm done until tomorrow's dailies reset and I can earn a few that way

Please expand faction space. Right now it's dead and empty made useless by it's insanely high warp requirements. These are supposed to be the powerhouses of the quadrant. Make faction space feel alive. Make some kind of material/money/reward system that makes going there worthwhile.

@nova sierra best crew is situational, depends what you plan to do with the ship: mine rss, mine mats, mine special mats, mine as fast as possible, mine slow as possible, mine with most protected cargo, hit swarm, hit borg, hit base, raid rss from base, hit armada (but what crew is everyone else using), exploring fast, exploring distance, just getting to a mission checkpoint quickly, hitting a particular faction, hunting players, hunting OPC players...

“Territory Capture” sounds like a pretty good reason for me to want to quit the game. This whole drastic redesign makes me wonder if the developers are questioning the sustainability of the current model given that players are approaching higher levels. I don’t mind the potential to be raided if I don’t have good shield discipline. That’s all part of a war game and I “get” that some love the game for raiding whereas I do not...but the idea of a constant back and forth for territory just seems pretty lame to me. Not my cup of tea and this will surely cause me to quit. Please don’t...just don’t.
One more thing...would you please fix 6 of 10 so that he works as he’s supposed to. That’s be great.

Territory capture equals feed the whales. Soon they will be all you have left and losing them rapidly too. Once again only listening to the top spenders and not the community as whole. Game can’t survive without the whales but can’t survive with only the few whales left.

Scopely, please ensure territory capture is equal access to small and large alliances. If it is simply might makes right (again!) Then what will it matter? The big guys will dominate. We need a chance for EVERYONE to actually be able to win, not just the big guys.

Does the future roadmap also include fixing bugs? There's a lot of issues with the game, and new or previously fixed bugs are prevalent after game updates. Ask around. They seem to be "par for the course."
With the current state of the game, no one could reasonably expect your future plans to arrive without major issues that would affect unrelated core gameplay experiences.
I would ask that you outline your future plans on how you will address the lack of quality assurance prior to deploying updates, and offer quite a bit more transparency around the current state of issues this game presently has.

If this territory control happens you will kill the game Scopely. Myself and many other have already said we will no longer play the game if this becomes how I see it becoming. Only the top 3 alliance will control the entire galaxy and will be unplayable for everyone else.

New roadmap is the last straw for me. I already waste enough time and money on this game, and this will be nothing but a boon to the alliances that spend the most. And you can bet customizing your ship will cost money. Having said that, a cap on how many an alliance can claim@must be in place, or Credit Card warrior alliances will claim everything and it will discourage others from playing at all.
If a cap is in place (limit 2 areas per alliance), this is a great idea.

Who asks for 2 buildings at a time?! No one on my server 47 asks for that. What we want is 2 researches at a time. You add an entire Outlaw section of research and they are all crazy long times! We need 2 researches at a time to somewhat balance that. Everyone in game I have talked to is so crazy far behind on tech it isn't even funny. A unasked for PVP event for 24 hours is not the way to do this. A better idea would be to have it as flash-events (That DONT run every hour on the hour. That gets beyond old.). This is catering to Huge spenders.

This is where PVP events like Rage of the Klingon Houses go off the rails. How am I, level 23, supposed to compete against ANY faction ship or even a Kumari? This is why the level of competition has to remain closer that it is. A level 31 shouldn't be able to attack me. It becomes a non playing event for me. I understand the concept of expanding the player pool as you level up, but when an event like this happens I'm essentially shut out from doing almost anything outside of mining. And if someone doesn't have the North Star, they can't even do Missions without being attacked for points.

This event that puts the entire server at war is awful. I have folks putting up shields and stopping their game play because of it. People can’t do daily objectives, can’t do missions, and can’t go out grinding hostile ships to level ships. You go out....someone 5 levels higher than you will kill you. Must be nice for the pay to win players!

PvP should be done in arena like areas/instances...pay an entrance fee but get free/reduced repairs and introduce crew load outs to quickly change between favourite crews

LMAO!!!!! I am not surprised that most of the comments today are concerning Rage of the Klingon Houses. So:
- Make it PvP only in designated systems. Systems introduced in new content would work in the future.
- Decrease the level brackets. For the event you only get points for killing a ship within 5 levels of your own.
- Do not include the specialty ships like the Stella, Vidar, or Franklin.
- Reduce it from a 24 hour event to something quite a bit shorter.

Even the Mods and Content Creators on discord agree this is a Problem. We have been told this is the only place to properly report problems and get real metrics. I say you will not get correct metrics, you will only get metrics for absolutely game breaking issues.
Take a look at player work arounds to known issues over at the "common-Fixes" channel. Everyday the Dev team doesn't fix it, is another day you collect ill will.

Congratulations Scopely.... in the past week, you have ruined the stfc game experience for me. In order to place well in events, you have made it so we need to become slaves to the game, playing every hour. Then you run galactic PVP events that prevent most players from actually playing. It was bad enough when you introduced the insanely strong 4* ships, but now you give them the ability to attack us instantly from anywhere in the galaxy and we can’t even fight back.
I’ve busted my ass to finish triple lock on alliances with the intention of spending more money to buy bigger ships and upgrade considerably. But these new upgrades have got me thinking more about quitting the game entirely. Especially when I look at the new coming features that give control of major portions of the galaxy to wallet warrior alliances.
Maybe all those people leaving to go to Eve or other games have the right idea.

This pvp event has not been thought through, it’s a cheats charter. A player leaves their alliance and offers up his ships to be hit, his now former alliance gains many cheap and easy points. At the end of the event, they rejoin the alliance. Very fair, NOT.

as others have mentioned many times alreadt, on my server teams outside top 10 are now in 2nd and third from players leaving and boosting. Others have already suggested limiting system so not galaxy wide, i would suggest at least disabling scoring in system below level 13 or 15 so you cant hide and cheat so easily. since lvl 9dont participate and there is no reason for mid or high levels to go there i cant see any disadvantage

Just adding my vote of disapproval with this alliance PVP event. It simply put rewards the bullies in the game. Not fun at all. On the plus side, I'm not playing other than to reset miners, so it is nice to play other games for a change. I'm viewing this event and any like it as a forced break from the game.

Afternoon Everyone reading. To Scopley, what the heck have you done. You have killed my love for this game in ONE stupid move. Events are supposed to be challenging and FAIR. you have made this one and many others, so unfair that its now at the stage where i want to hang up my pips and Credit Card and say Astla La Vista Star Trek. Which nut job thought it would be a great idea to have a full on PVP event in EVERY part of the galaxy. How on earth is that fair when you have the Credit Card Warriors who have HUGE ships and stations at Level 40 plus, attacking bases at lvl 28. You are making this game all about the big spenders. I have spent money on this game to help me do some of the events like the discovery one, but you have killed it for me now. Unless you pull your fingers from out of your noses and start to listen to the players, you will lose a lot of small spenders who actually make up 95% of your income. The CC warriors will stop spending if no one else is online. Dont think your too big for this to happen because you can see from the above messages so many people are upset right now. Make the game fair. Make it so the strong players cant pray on the weak, give all players a fair chance and most of all dont screw up again like you have done in the past 24 hours and finally, id seriously re visit the Sale button. Its now in serious overkill with stuff you want people to buy and none of it is worth it. Scale it and the prices down a lot and people may buy more.

Scopely I enjoy Stella activities but please make it easier to earn eclipse Armando directives. Multiple weeks of active play passes just to earn enough for 1 armada.
I read the roadmap with interest and see that ally controlled territories are coming. I hope that it will feature benefits for friendly allies and you can contribute to territory points without pvp points. I personally like this game because you can prosper without having to do pvp attacks.
