@delicate sentinel I'm seriously pissed off by the support in this game. Several times now I have raised issues and been fobbed off. Raised an issue yesterday regarding not being given points for daily goals. Twice I claimed the daily loot box. But was not given the points for them... also once didn't get a check off on one of the 4hr boxes. Support said there was a delay. This was 12hrs after the complaint . Complete with screenshot. 23hrs later I logged in to claim another and it still didn't register. They are full of shit. And I'm seriously fed up of this now. Something needs to be done NOW

@delicate sentinel @weak sluice I have over 60 messages back and forth with them over 4.5 months trying to get a fix to my ships not being able to be tiered up by time., only by paying them gold. 8 separate occasions they responded saying they will only compensate me for my issue after they fix the problem. I tested their fixes trying to upgrade 4 different ships needing to collect and then refine enough resources to upgrade all four ship systems before tiering them... couldnāt advance, kicked from my alliance, could only mine for 4.5 months, now itās fixed and I get the middle finger, no compensation. I ask why and show them screen shots.... dead silence... what a joke of a company
I did kill 5 klingons level 28 but the dialy goal respective continues 0 (zero). I did leave the game, restarted the game, but the issue remains.
Guys where can I get some real support for an in game issue where it says I donāt have enough RSS to repair my ship but I have more than enough and when I tried to use latinum to fix it that didnāt work either it just swallows the amount without repairing my ship the rage quit is getting very close
The issue I did show happened several times, I used in game support, so Scopely knows the issue, but there is no definitive solution yet !

Noting a disturbing coincidence across the Canadian server of certain players engaging stations of different units almost immediately after a shield drops. To the point where they seem to be waiting for the final count down to the shield dropping.
I've seen video's of all sorts of rooted phones and rogue apps allowing for unintended advantages in almost any mobile game, but this is getting ugly. Having been at the receiving end of this I can say that it isn't fun to try and defend against. It's just another reason not to waste $$ on RSS that can be looted either.
Please look into this.

@pure sage they are aware of this Scottyās workshop discord server allowing these cheats. I live and die by shields and notifications. 10 mins out from a shield expiring I get a notification to my phone from the app. Its great.
@near oasis the notifications ar great when they work, but they don't always work. Last night I had my shields go down, no notification. I got attacked no immediate notification... My notification regarding the base attack hit my phone, I opened the app and the temp shield was already down and the guy was incoming to my base with a Horizon. The shield button on the top screen was the only thing that saved me from that attack.
@pure sage that shield button is amazing. If you havenāt, please report the notification failure thru game. They can look at the event log. This will be something others are experiencing as well. And it sucks.
Add some weirdness to that, I've had members of our unit all of a sudden get an error and a boot out of the app. Relog in and their base has been attacked. Now from playing PC games, I've seen this kind of exploit before where you suddenly freeze up, lag out and then get booted to desktop.
@pure sage If course people wait until the shield drops. That is the indication that the user is not protecting their station and its time to attack. The defender and the attacker both know there is a 10 minute timer, and frankly its up to the defender to shield their station if they are offline. Now, with that said, the situtation that is ugly is that shields are bugging and Scopely isn't reimbursing for lost resources for a known bug. WHEN PEOPLE ARE PAYING REAL MONEY FOR RESOURCES, AND REAL MONEY FOR SHIELDS, THEY EXPECT THE SHIELDS TO WORK SCOPELY!!!

A little precision would have been a sign of intelligence... but I think that on this side it is a little lacking... Just indicating how to know if we are concerned or not would be welcome, like a server number that appears somewhere in our settings. Why don't they think about leading people by boat?
Yes it was specified by panic in the general channel that the only server with downtime would be 131 and that it would be transparent for everyone else

U can find out ur server number by looking in the top right corner on the error message u receive when trying to repair 2 ships at the same time

The update of our server has been done, or at least the patch for non-attackable bases. Thank you Scopely; finally everything is fine at this level.
I have a question for scopely, when will they start compensating players over their never ending bugs and stop the bleeding of people asking for compensation and being so discouraged that they end up quitting?
The vast majority of other games compensate when they know they're the reason a player ends up dry.
Not to mention the fact that reported players for verbal abuse or harassment towards female players never get banned just because they pay etc...
That people taking advantages of glitches, so basically cheating and breaking the TOS don't get punished for it when it should be done immediately.

@wooden zenith lots of issues there. so compensating over bugs; not likely to happen. they're very clear that it's not their policy, and the bugs are all pretty well known, so there shoudl be ways you as a player should be prepared for thos in case they happen.
i have seen on my server (15) players be banned, suspended, or eventually deleted for obscene or harassing comments. but need to probably be pretty heinous. i don't think you're gonna get someone banned for making a sexist comment. while this is a community based game, you're always gonna have assholes. the specific examples on our server involved rape and violent threats.
there is a clear list of items that are not permitted with TOS. scotty's workshop for example. but players taking advantage of the game play as it sits now is hardly cheating if the game mechanics allow it. hwoever, i'm more curious about what is happening that you consider "cheating?" if i hit a base, adn a shield doesn't raise, why would i wait to hit it again. not cheating. i can't know if your emergency shield didn't raise. i could suppose that you were hit within the last 2 hours and your shield hasn't cycled yet. what other examples do you have?
My example on cheating is regarding a certain system where bases couldn't get hit. Which is taking advantage of a game glitch. These players could sit days without shield and stock up enormous amount of rss without getting hit.
Also in most other games, players taking advantages of known glitches that are bound to be fixed are getting at least temp banned and the problem is adresses directly by support on announcement. Which is something Scopely never does. Except for Scotty's workshop.
For the base hit if you're about to hit anyway I get that you go for it if the shield bugs.
But having lots of players that you can't hit because of a glitches system is just a joke.
To me the real issue here is that everything that is stated in the rules of the games and that are constantly broken, and sometimes with tons of proofs sent seeem to have no consequences.
The players who used Scotty are still playing in my server for example...

@wooden zenith I think what you're describing is very comparable to the release of copyrighted material through torrents for example.
In The Netherlands we have an independant company called BREIN that's actively pursueing the people who release copyrighted material to effectively remove the means that people have available to break the rules with.
It's a better return on energy invested in some cases to focus on fixing the issue rather than spending time tracking down each individual offender and establishing a proper 'punishment'.
Atleast that's how I see it - curious how you view this.
That said, there are no wrong answers really - just different ones.
@gentle goblet Multiply that by how many servers Scopely is running and how many people are taking advantage of the glitch to profit from it? Scopely comes out ahead from people who are stuck buying packs to keep up with the whales who take advantage of the glitch.
@nova sierra thing is I played and still play different mmos and every developpers have their own way of dealing with things.
For example, in March to War (now dead) the devs took a long time before doing anything against "cheaters" it killed the game. They were heavy pay to win already, who found new ways to screw people with stuff like Scotty.
It took a long time because it was hard to prove.
But when people took advantages of glitches the temp bans were nearly instant. It was 2 weeks of impossibility to play and I find it fair. There were some invisible areas where you could locate your base for example. The people who went there knowing the advantage it could give where banned. And they didn't do it again.
Perma bans where given to abusive accounts.
Or to those who asked for refunding.
And so far I haven't seen that happen in my server at all.
The game is already unbalanced af (sorry but true). If the behavior of some is not actually monitored it's even worse.

Each time Scopely has refused to restore my resources from the station raid, even though I provided proof that I was shielded and I did not receive any notice of the attack.
if you were cleaned due to a bug in the shields it's a different story, still has nothing to do with a single planet where players can't be attacked...
It's an example damnit. The Envoy bug was another etc etc. There are glitches that benefit people and the fact they are used should not be ok. That's all. Using the flaws of the system and letting people do it without consequences isn't healthy that's all I'm saying.

I can't speak to the game you mention as I've never played but I did spend a year or two in my puberty as a Game Master for a private World of Warcraft server.
I was able to view tickets whilst inside the game and teleport myself to the offending player's location and view the offender live in action myself - leaving 0 room for any doubt.
I can imagine for a mobile game such as this, that's not possible - or that the tools haven't been made (yet).
So that leaves us with working what's available and from what I've seen (from a players perspective) that's not a whole lot.
I definitely agree that if the resources are there, it's worth pursuing every offender. So given that this isnāt happening only lets me come to the conclusion that the resources to do so simply arenāt there.
Bringing me back to the comparison I made earlier; to which we have to be at peace with for now.
Who is to say that there is not another "Scottys Workshop hack" out in the wild? If each of those 16 players or even a significant number of them were using it to get notifications of shield times that would unbalance the game on that server.
@nova sierra indeed we lack tools to prove the issues. Screenshots can't do everything.
But when you get a certain number of tickets all saying the same thing there should be something done more quickly about it. The glitched planet issue took ages to get actually fixed. The Envoy bug too. Etc. To me there is an issue on the lack of reaction by scopely.
And the fact they don't compensate over their own bugs when it's proven is just a massive joke.

I don't believe the tools permit CS to track and match different tickets as to be 1 issue.
So when player X and player Y both report player Z, I think these are viewed - responded to - and closed as individual cases.
But I must stress, these are my assumptions and can't be taken as fact. Maybe they can but perhaps it's not cost-effective. Who knows, there could even be other reasons.
But at one point we do have to make our peace with it; like the game for what it is, not just/only for what it can become.
It's definately got flaws but it's also being improved upon. I feel, as someone who is studying application development, that it has its charms to see Scopely try and stumble at times.
It's always better than not to try at all. š
I agree there are efforts made. But (yes I'll be annoying one last time) it's been released with so many issues it's like they always fix something instead of actually really improving.

I'm a player just like you, I share many of your statements actually.
I guess what I'm trying to tell by all this is basically this:
Iāve complained a lot at times, at a lot of different companies over a lot of different products I was passionate about. Often not feeling I was heard.
The conclusion of all these experiences is what Iād like to share which is that at some point, you have to let go and allow more time to pass. Regardless of how much has already passed to begin with and regardless of the inconvienence you might experience. I think once you know that people share your views; the product owner knows as well. It's his/her bread after all.
A lot happens behind the curtains of every business and often politics slow down progress eventually. But it's still done by people. And luckily, people tend to learn. ;)
For me, Iāve found letting go meant having more fun and that I view as the best goal in life. š
That said, it was great having this conversation with you. I'd like to think our chat might inspire a change in views for the people who might have read along.

@wooden zenith on our server, the atrieg planet glitch was more than not being able to get hit. they were UNABLE to even port out. so if they happened to land on that system, they were trapped. wasn't their fault. that was on our server anyway. they bitched and complained as much as the rest of us. they coudln't do anything about it. they were stuck.

@jagged vector i was zeroed one time. for 49 mil. never happened again. people dont get through on me lol i also can protect my RSS. the envoy bug wasn't as much a bug as peole thought. if your envoy coudln't hit, it's cause that hit would have taken the base "below" vault protections... granted. the end user experience was faulty, but you still woudln't have gotten rss from that hit. it's why attack ships still worked.

I have an issue last night I had a shield up and there is a hack some people are using that pops your shield so that they can raid your base. This is completely unfair and I had to purchase 2 packs this morning which I should be reimbursed for and you need to figure out how to block these hacks
more information on said "hack" @leaden sundial have never heard of this. only hacks that have been circulated was the tracking hack and scotty's workshop, but scopely has ended those to my knowledge.

quick and easy way to tell. try to repair two ships at the same time. youll get an error message. up in the right hand corner is teeny tiny letters, your server number is embedded into that.

Seems trivial and quite nonsensical that we still canāt name our ships, or have our own commander avatar yet in this game. I canāt see it absorbing that much space in a database server these days, and those simple features have existed on STO (an older game) since launch essentially.
If this game has been able to bank tends of millions of dollars... itās fucking ASININE that they havenāt put more work into making it more playable without spending thousands...

Itās become pretty apparent that Scopely does not really give two fuels of a rolling donut about their consumer base. Their glitchās become our headaches, and frustrations and the customer service sucks worse than a 2$ professional ....personally, the game locked up for 24 to 36 or so hours. Lost millions in rss and was told oh well, we donāt replace rss.... I replied back I figured you would screw me,....... cause itās true....
Of course. They fix glitches that benefit us within days (except for zevis) but leave glaring nearly game breaking bugs untouched for months and effectively steal money from their customers.
I've compared all the new officers now, and not a single one is even close to translating. Google Translator could do that better. 2 examples:
First means, that Ventaks Ship (who the f. ist Ventak?) do 0.5 more damage, I English he protect 50% cargo.
Second Joachim increase 50% migration of the ship and in German the impulse speed is of whole fleet is increased by 0.5%.
Well, Germans and English speaking ppl play a different game.
you can use scotty to really good effect. we have a lvl8 account taking a g3 spot every day. but im not one to talk about that as i also take large g3 spots in high lvl systems at lvl14 (possible at 12 with jelly mining) - and before anyone complains ... faction dailies ... yes there is a reason for that g3 rss. I am not alone, theres 4 or 5 of us at 12-14 that do this on my server; as a bonus, we are sticking it to the pay to win high lvl players who control g3 rss with their alliances.
@cosmic knoll doing daily mining with a JF !? why not a fortunate, sorry I don't have a problem with lower levels mining G3 for faction dailies, but I do have a problem with players using non-survey ships which are inefficient...

@cosmic knoll ok we have EMK rules which says if you're mining with a non-survey ship you can be hit, if you're mining with a survey ship you should be left alone unless over protected cargo or the mine is depleted...
@cosmic knoll do I need an excuse? As you pointed out space is at a premium. If you use a mining ship you'll get your mining done quicker and free the node for someone else. But then I'm on a server which for the most part doesn't kill empty miners.

i assume your server isnt full of gold plated iphone users? because in mine, theres quite a number of players who spent thousands on the game, and clearly dont work as they can quite happily send out 10-20 ships from different playing accounts to surround a base and sit there whislt waiting for any ships to appear or return .. for a long long time

In our server there's no dirty hits allowed except for in war. Usually a warship is otl within an hour and when one is in there, its because he's unloading

Iāve been keeping track, and in the last 11 days I have gotten 4 uncommon crystal, 8 uncommon gas, and ZERO uncommon ore. I canāt upgrade ANYTHING until I get dozens more of all of them, and itās absolutely impossible to do so. I know Scopely is loving the flood of cash from the whales, but when the lower spenders and ftp players have all quit the game because itās impossible to progress, theyāre not gonna stick around much longer either...

Also I'd like to echo @nova sierra feedback - 50 independent credits per day is too low, especially after you encouraged us to go fast to unlock the officers. It's a huge slap in the face to get there and then find that you can't level the only real reward of the expansion content. Your designers should be ashamed of themselves.

The devs seem determined to kill this game with their laziness and demonstrated incompetence... Hell, maybe theyāre tired of it and thatās the whole point.
It seems that the players who payed to reach the top are upset because they now have to wait to go any further. Not saying paying is bad, but most of us havenāt even unlocked more than Joaquin because progress is so slow. Iād rather the DEVs make the augments work like the other crew. Thereās no way Iām spend my time trying to get dailies, faction rep, BPs, mine resources, defend my base, AND mind data so i can use it to get some different kind of rep and faction points.

Augment space right now is ONLY for the spenders. What few of the rest of us can even get in, canāt compete

My mining rate, even the deepest I can go, is crap... plus our server is full of asshats that love killing underlimit miners just for kicks
Hell, I only get my faction mining dailies 1 Day a week tops for the same reason... and it usually costs me a fortune in trit repairing. Usually burn over 100k per day just repairing envoys, sometimes as much as 250....

No argument here... lot of vigilante asshats in the upper 20s and lower 30s who just live to burn the server to the ground, WAY too few 3* mines for the people who need them, and an ever-decreasing number of bases in the 15-19 range for the people in my range to feed on.
@gentle goblet itās not, but if I had to choose Iād stick with dailies and the original faction missions. Additionally, when you need to mine ore or gas in enemy territory you need two ships. So that leaves one left over unless your at lvl 28.
Ive found it easier to focus on data or dailies ... not both.
Not s buyer, using envoys to mine green or brown..joecargo is nice with stonn and tpring..25k protection,the amounts of data versus what ya get are kinda ridiculous though

I know this is going to sound like others have not heard it or said it and a simple VENT, but I mean the higher you get the larger the levels that can attack you come on. Just became level 20 and a level 29 that is clearly out gun me comes along and kills me

@lost slate a 21K envoy isn't really a match for anything you should have at level 20... even the 2* ships are much stronger when leveled and researched properly

a survey ship will always be weak, the weaker it is the more likely it will get attacked, I have no clue what was the reason for the attack here but if I have to choose between attacking a 20K envoy or a 40K envoy the choice is easy

@gentle goblet ships from a lvl28 player will always be stronger then the ships from a lvl20, if both is buffed on the right way ofc. Just a simple example, a lvl28 get more buffs by upgrading his buildings and also have the three labs to make ships more stronger, and how higher your lvl how more upgrades you can do in Research. No matter what a lvl20 player do, he will never be a worthy opponent for a lvl28 player... š

the higher level you are, if you do it correctly then the more powerful you are, quite often though I find high level players with weak ships because all they spend their RSS on was buildings and no research or upgrading ships etc.
Yea but as you get to higher levels the PvP range get a lot bigger I am 23 and am constantly getting hit by 34's no way I can buff up to stop that and am living under a constant shield so I can save resources to level up builds it is so bad I have been using fortunate for mining just because they are cheaper to repair

The problem is, it's a greifing game. All ships are built essentially equal so there's huge incentive to only attack lower leveled players. It's extremely frustrating for all but the top players because there isliterally no defense you can have, your only option is to watch your ships as much as possible and run away anytime someone bigger gets to close (because they've figured out the targeting alert and wait till the last second to attack).
Fix the god damn refinery. Im not spending another dime until you do. I'm a weeknaway from deleting this game and never touchi g another bullshit scopely product again.

No building should cost more then the warehouse can hold. I know you can go over that limit from raiding but the warehouse limit should be the max that a building upgrade costs. Remove the need for uncommon items to be used for for anything other then ships so players don't have to choose between upgrading a ship or a building or research. Each refine should come with shot least the smallest refine and the smallest uncommon should be 5 and common 10 rare should be 3 which should be on a timer so every 5th refine you get one. Chests in the store need to be halved in price as at the moment they cost far to much for what you get
- Fix refinery 2. Fix broken officers 3. Fix broken research 4. Fix broken ship upgrades 4. Fix broken economy 5. Notice all my points have the word ābrokenā
@keen bobcat there's plenty of sources to get the extra RSS - raiding, mining, RSS tokens, dailies, events etc. the generators are a joke anyway, you'd have to wait days for each upgrade if you're relying on them as your only source of RSS

@gentle goblet I'm not but this is the first game I've played where you are required to have more then your station/base makes and can hold. Like your warehouse holds 320k but you need 1.5mil to upgrade a building it should never be like that

Your station can hold infinite amounts the generators stop working because the warehouse is full.these games are all the same you can produce an amount that your warehouse can hold but if you want more you need to raid/farm it but like I said this is the first one where costs are more then you can hold

Its not the generators, it's the cap of warehouses that stops receiving from the generators. The generators are working fine, because when your warehouse is below cap, all generators shows full and are ready to collect.
But to comment or reply on your question of yesterday, Random:
It's the same thing as above, the balance in this game is far from good. It's ok that higher levels can attack lower levels bases, the only way the lower levels can protect themself is by using shields and relocation tokens. Both of these are not easy to get. You only get 1 relocation token per day (not always) and 4 hour shield and 8 hour shield per day by doing dailies. If you want more you can buy it from alliance stores. If you are in a alliance that never win prices in event, well, then you have to buy packs or you are screwed. Bad balance.
With ships the balance is even more stupid, think that doesn't need explaination.
My suggestions would be:
- Give players more easy ways to get relocation tokens and shields. And it doesnt matter if high lvls can attack lower lvl bases.
- Mining ships with no cargo over protected limit should not be attackable.
@nova sierra but increasing that limit is useless unless you increase the speed of the generators, otherwise you'd have to wait days for each of these upgrades, at which point you anyway going to go and get the RSS elsewhere, there were some suggestions to say e.g. have the generators continue working when warehouse is full but at a lower rate
for the other topic... I have over 50 1/4/8hrs shields, I didn't pay for any of them... it's true that you only get a 4hr & a 8hr from dailies but you don't always have to use them, only if you have excessive RSS, which is hardly an issue in the lower levels so they accumulate quite fast, I usually use up 2 8hrs and 2 4hrs per day so I guess at some point I will run out but that point is still far away, I don't think adding more shields to the game will change anything if players don't know how/when to use them.
for mining ships, most servers have ROE/EMK rules exactly for that, but I agree if they can be "forced" into the game it's probably a positive thing (as long as attacking a ship on a depleted mine is also possible š )

Current ship Khan repair timings has made the game much more enjoyable to play, going back to longer wait timings is a step in the wrong direction for the game, i think!

Noted @delicate sentinel but the level imbalance is so bad already I think quicker repairs would at least be a universal wide leg up... I think I can speak on behalf of the community in saying Khan repair times and reverting to the +/-5 level PvP (atleast in the short term) would be more enjoyable gameplay... it would encourage people to get active with their ships, which is one of the funniest parts of the game... it would hinder mining further, but that is already broken and not much rewards for the time invested, so atleast the Ship PvP aspect getting better would help keep players around until the game economy can be rebalanced... we have to remember this is a mobile game and it needs to be easy to pick up, play and put down again if need be... lower ship repairs allows for you to do more with less time/rss which only a select few have bulk of either or that rare unicorn of a person who has both.... š¤£

Quantity of uncommon you can earn is much higher than it was. Iām level 31 player play a long time but in the past months I see many good changes keep up good work!!!!
There is a basic problem with alliances. While an entire alliance can attack a single player, when it comes to defence that player is effectively on their own. There needs to be a dynamic whereby alliances can help their members better particularly when their base is under assault

Not everyone is around 24/7, regardless, with players at high level sitting there with 3 huge ships in dock while they hit a base with their fourth, and I try and stop that with a nicely powered North Star my base can be severely damaged with one hit from one of the other ships and mine does almost nothing to theirs. The power ration is too great. Sure, if a few people turn up with strong ships it's different, but I've seen one guy in a cluster of bases just taking massive hits while raiding 2 or 3 smaller bases at a time. It's just way too easy
They should do automatic shields after maintenance instead of sending out a shield to everyone.
why? I prefer to get the 1 day shield and keep it for whenever I really need it, then start a 4/8hrs just before the maintenance
Perhaps before 'fixing' repair costs and speed, you should have done something about the exploit for alliance help button. Adding a cooldown and/or more penalties for leaving and rejoining alliances in quick succession, to make it fairer for those alliances who do not wish to cheat.
It's a basic error, which is exploited for unfair gain. As with any bug, it should be fixed as all it ultimately does is create an even wider gap between some sets of players.

I've got 137% repair discount on my kehra at my current dock point. Yesterday with the khan bonus it took 50mins to fix. Today that same ship reported 2 hours 11 min to fix. That's 131minutes that's a 2.62Ć increase to repair timers.
Last I checked 260% is not equal to 40% please learn to math
The battle log says that the abilities are being activated, but they are not actually being applied @nova sierra. I'll grab them for you once I am done doing the math on them to be sure. But what I do know for 100% certain is that I could hit 3 of those guys yesterday and any other day no issue. Four if Morale was activated every time, and now today, I can barely hit one. And I've been grinding those ships for a long long time.

I'm level 33, Drydock level 32, research all maxed out at 32, Tier 7 Saladin, takes 5 hours to repair.
I went through the math @nova sierra and it does add up correctly. But it still doesn't give an answer as to why i can only hit 1 of those ships today, when for the last several weeks I could hit 3 and 4 times the amount. Even hitting lower level ships I am receiving much more damage than I was before. So I can't see anything as to why it is the way it is today. Something definitely changed and I am cringing at what is going to happen later on when I actually go and hit faction ships to complete my dailies. This is going to be really interesting.

Yeah, I'm curious. Well, if the numbers are going down that far in terms of kills it means it is going more rounds which points to damage output and mitigation. Dodge being a factor of keeping hull health up. BUt 10k shouldn't cause that big of a drop.

The only pictures I have on this phone are of Sally at Tier 1 and 4. But I have done massive Interceptor research upgrades since then, so I can't compare the numbers. Like in my screenshots dodge is 19k for a Tier1 in my picture, but looking in game it says 20k. Which would have happened from me doing the research of course. I don't have any of my ship at it's current level and prior to doing the research.

I'm using a Kumari...
The grind from ops 24 to 25 is rough, and the requirements are not well communicated. The Kumari is also blocked behind shipyard 24, which for whatever reason requires all vaults upgraded to 24, and they in turn require generators A & B at 24. Those buildings are pretty worthless on their own so I've let them sit at lower level, now the grind is taking forever. The req also makes no sense, why does shipyard need vault when I have to pay upfront for ship construction anyway?
Ops 24 I need 125 reds, if they are all 28+ which they aren't. I can get about 10 per repair, on average I'm stuck killing 29's with my explorer. The Kehra is useless to me for a 28 enemy.

@nova sierra any chance they can give everyone a reward chest with repair speed ups and cost offset until the new update on the App Store is available. Their fixes are not in place yet because the App Store does not have the update available. I just lost 1m trit and 7hrs Iām repair speed ups.
@nova sierra tall bear the heck you can't repair times were buffed 40 percent. Which meant my unbuffed time yesterday from full destruction was 70minutes(as you seem to need it the time to repair yesterday was 50minutes with khan 40per bonus). Today it's 131minutes.

What a wonderfull change to repair times. It was my dream to increase it 12x. It was about 2 minutes, it is more than 25 - thanks.
The repair times were high prior to the Augment events. Scopely made it clear that the repair speeds during the event were temporary. If you do the math, repair speeds are actually faster than they were prior to the upgrade that introduced the Augment faction.
@silver jolt you are completely incorrect repairs that took 1 hour before Khan went up to 2 hours with the Kahn fix ... recieved a 30% buff taking it down to 55 hours, which by the way is much larger reduction than 30%, now at 2 hours 25 minutes. The numbers don't lie only Skopley does.
Guys the extended repair times are killing the game especially as itās a mobile game.

@stoic lynx I can't speak to the numbers that you are using as I don't know how accurate you memory is of the repair times prior to the event. However, the repairs on my ships seem to be fairly close to the numbers which scopely has used to explain the difference. The only reason I can not tell you that they are perfect is because all of my ships have leveled up since the augment patch.

My Jelly repair time was ~45 minutes before the augment events. Now it is ~55 minutes and I have tiered up 2x since then.

So here is the issue and this is an ongoing issue, there is no transparency. I have seen it personally when my shield drops early, I am offline but they said I attacked someone. Mysteriously my only indicator the, the battle logs for the time frame in question is missing and the only "logs" ore visable only to Skopley.
In fact most of the important logs i.e loot gathered, resources paid, shield applied, shield duration, shield expiration, shield dropped attack, history of support tickets etc. are not available to the players.
This particular instance is like the store that has a shirt for $10 on sale then the put it on sale for a limited time for 30% off $5.50 (Skopley math) then it returns to it's original sales price of $10.50. There are no logs available, no base price (repair cost/time), just Skopley saying it is better now.
Well I can only agree @stoic lynx But thank god they have clear texts in Prime stuff sometimes which simply say +100% boost. I talked to a lawyer few days ago and the math is simply. make screenshots, buy the pack and request the result. If not all boughts are questioned.
And that is exactly what I am doing now. I spent a 4-digit number just for fun and I am mad of proofing to support with screenshot my issue š¦

I see what happened here. They gave us a repair buff because the repair times were broken, then extended the buff, and extended the buff, and extended the buff till everyone forgot what the original repair times were, then just cancelled the buff and claimed it was fixed.

Current state of game: attack one ship, recall, put down game for 1 hour or more while ship repairs.
A marginally playable game has now become almost unplayable. well done.

The 10 min peace shield is useless. Do not rely on it. Also Dont whale resources, and you wont get attacked. If you need to, use the proper shields.

When you click repair, your buffs should kick in and drop the time a bit and thatās not happening

Repair times you have now are pretty close to what youāre going to be. Once the current bug is fixed, you may get a 30min reduction on a 3 or 4 hr repair.
My current repair times are pretty close to what they were before the repair event. Maybe about 20% more.
So once thatās fixed, our repair times should be what they were prior to the repair event

@all Community Managers: i dont know what you are doing at scopely but as for me, i am a programmer too. And I know how things are done right. Well you dont do. So is it just that your people are unable to recognize bugs because things are tested superficial? Or is it full purpose that you annoy your players with EVERY update you do? Let me tell you, if my programs are that bugged like STFC is, i would have been fired years ago. You always state that your players are important for you and that you care about everyone and everything. Well, its nothing more than talking. To the public you appear correct and caring but be honest, behind you give a hack about us as long as the $ is rolling. Shame on you. Here are some suggestions what you could actually do to save the game. Its gonna be dead in a few weeks if you continue. 1) Reduce Repair Times to what they were. 2) Leave repair costs as they are now. 3) Reduce the refinary cooldown to 6h. 4) Introduce an overview about the researched buffs and their current values so that we can better check, if something isnt workling properly. 5) Increase the mining rates for Dilithium by minimum 100%. 6) Reduce the costs of ultra packages from 100⬠to 50⬠or increase the amout of uncommon and rare mats that you get for 100ā¬. Its almost theft what you get for 100⬠now. 7) DO SOMETHING RIGHT!
@upbeat nova the problem with the "before" times is that they were incorrect because you got buffs applied which shouldn't, so I think the 100% vs. what it was before comes to compensate on that
so say you had drydock 29 + maxed out all your repair research you would get 37%+50%+50%+50% applied to each repair, even though you should have only got 37%+50%
now after the fix you get 85%+75% which still leaves you a bit short
or in your case 100%+75% since you upgraded the drydock
well it was just an example, primes are 100% before and after so it doesn't make a difference
but the point is that even with the drydock upgrade you're still a bit short with how it was calculated before, assuming you indeed have all the repair research maxed out before
before 37+50+50+50 = 187%
after 100+75 = 175%
that is if I understand correctly the original bug
they should have obviously buffed up the percentage so we don't get short, but...
well with the prime you should get 100+100+75 which is 275%

if you check their table, the increase isn't the same in all research levels so who knows how they came up with the numbers
level 1 is 3% to 4% -> 33% increase
level 2 is 5% to 8% -> 60% increase
and well, so on
level 8 is 50% to 75% -> 50%
and same for drydocks on some levels, now there's an increase in lvl 27 for example which didn't exist before

I'm guessing for some levels of dry-docks/research people might have shorter repair times
I am not seeing ANY benefit from all the research I've done to improve repair costs (I'm level 22 and completed all of my research). You make it look like you are improving repair times, but they are MUCH WORSE! 2 days ago it took 8 minutes to repair an envoy, it now takes over 20 minutes. I am not seeing any buffs kick in from my research. I'm extremely disappointed.

@delicate sentinel @rigid vapor Suggestion for Quests that need to have resources Donated. Let us donate whatever we have at the current time. I have a quest right now that wants 1.8m Dilithium..... I have 43k. let me donate that 43k so that it is accumulative towards the goal... That and drop the dang donation requirements by 1-2 decimal places please... How about 180k instead of 1.8m... Same goes for the mining quests. Thanks

otherwise if you really want to do them wait until you level up and start getting millions from combat training missions
the problem is also that you can pick up missions way too early in the game which you can't complete until much later

yes, acknowledged bug. happened to one of my guys yesterday i believe he is quitting game over it and going to google for full refund (he lost about 240 million resources).
This bug is SO acknowledged that support used to give people back everything they lost if they got raided due to it. They changed policies and do not return your resources anymore.
It has been happening at least for months.

i just stopped doing missions once i hit 20. the costs outweigh the rewards of virtually every single one.
far too many missions have that exact same problem, they ask you to donate insane amounts of dilithium or tritanium and give you less than half that value in parsteel or some other virtually worthless thing. That's not a reward, it's extortion.
Missions aren't fun, they seem designed only to slow down our advancement.

Then I found out that I had to make a $4.99 purchase to make a $19.99 purchase to make a $49.99 purchase before I can even think about the $99.99 elite packs... YOU ARE EVIL! But you only got me as far as the Daily Rewards pack for $19.99 so all in $24.98 plus tax (Oklahoma is evil too). If you offered the Elite packs up front, people would buy them. Don't hide them. That's just bad marketing.
By the way, I've been playing since December so that's what you get for 6 months. Next December I'll think about how much progress you've made and consider an upgrade.

They ran your battle logs and didn't see any difference in hit rates between level 37 hostiles between each day. The dev pulled the logs and compared the two days. Also, unfortunately, none of the alliance mates on our server are seeing anything weakened or any change in stats. :/
Lvl 38 is what's different for myself. I can send you my player ID if you want @nova sierra? As I am hitting them more and more, there are even frequent times that my saladin at full strength can't even beat one pve non-faction ship.

I was reading through a lot of the battle reports and I think you are onto something. Because I was randomly hitting lvl 38's and I would exit the battle like I should have been and the only common thing in all of them was that they had a critical hit.

Yeah can confirm ship repair is still broken. 2hr10 for my tier 4 kumari then 2hr14 after I start to repair. I'm used to it going down a little before khan but not up...
@woeful gate the disparity between the 2hr10 min and 2hr14min is a bug as related to the expected repair time. the 2hr14 we're beign told is the actual correct repair time. and actually, before khan, when it would go down, was the original bug. these are the true repair times.
Before khan event my intrepid was 3h45m. Now itās 5h50m
Oddly my Saladin as 3h45m before khan. Now 4h30
Now I understand those times were not intended⦠However players got used to them for six months⦠So they shouldāve restored the times to what they were intended or not
And to be honest six hours to repair a ship is completely absurd⦠No one is going to wait and sit around for six hours to use that ship again
asking players to burn up six hours worth of speedups is crazy
My intrepid is now retired until they fix this debacle and I wonāt spend a penny more until the base repair times are adjusted
to be fair the longer repair times can get a bit itchy at times if I'm not busy at work etc. I usually give up like 1.5-2hrs into my 2h40 Kumari fix and speed it up
luckily, I have plenty of speedups to burn through

@ornate hedge @nova sierra when I reported the power drop on the Sally I think it was my mistake. Normally when the Sally is in station it shows a higher power than when it is undocked, however maybe that's not the case when it is repairing?
I think I must have just gotten really unlucky with combat RNG, took more damage than expected, then when repairing I saw my power number was lower than it should be and thought there was a problem.
Later in the day the power was being reported as the expected number again (ship was repaired though) and I did a ton of grinding, and the ship felt normal.
@storm hornet are you confirming no loss of dodge with your saladin?
Normally I never let my ship sit unrepaired so I probably never noticed it for that reason. But since the repair times increased I was like WTF and then noticed lower power also.
@civic slate I do not know the exact dodge number from before the patch, but after grinding out about 50 repairs yesterday, it feels similar to before, so if there was any change it was minimal, but it seems OK.

FYI I've just confirmed that definitely the power level reported when the ship is in station is lower when the ship is repairing than it is when the ship is fully repaired. That was the source of my confusion.

After getting the client update, the daily goal pips issue, as well as incorrectly displayed pips on the Ships/Officers/Factions/Items menu is still broken.

The game is also just in general laggier, can no longer scroll over stations and see the name/ops level unless almost fully zoomed in, increased load times. I don't care about the aesthetics of the game if the function suffers as a result.

My NS repair time went from 42 minutes (Fully dead to alive) in the Pre-Khan era to 1h16 minutes. Changing the crew to put Scotty as captain (to give that little repair bonus) has NO effect on the repair speeds. Iāve upgraded a ship dock about an hour ago, and there should be a small improvement on the repair time (As stated in the stats where we upgrade the docks) and there is NO changes in the repair times. So everything is screwed. Bonus, we are given a repair time of 1h13 for a ship, hit repair and then BOOM, 1h16. How come the repair time is LONGER.
Granted we were spoiled with the Khan repair crew. But NOBODY was complaining. Simple fix for a problem. Yet you start with getting shoddy updates for the game and get everybody frustrated at the repair times, and to players at ALL levels.
There is so many hurdles and barriers in this game (slow rss acquisition, poor refine rates, questionable prices on the packs) that you are also putting the pace of the game itself to a grind (i prefer a faster repair time to get ships going to battle, mine or just casually fly around) than waiting forever for repairs. But NO, in your less than stellar vision, you are implementing a convoluted and twisted method to repair bonus that in the end is worthless and make the game already hard to manage in some areas, definitely bad. Just wipe this whole useless repair buffs and fix it somewhere between the Pre-Khan upgrade and Khan repair crew bonus. Keep it simple.

Sorry @weak sluice , but this is 1000000% a commercial decision. People will not pay £100 for xM trit to repair their faction ship but they will spend all the lat they have spare to speed up. This is why this has happened.

The game is a massive commercial success, and they are all patting themselves on the back and putting it down to their analytics. What their analytics wont account for though is the emotional cost and with the last few triggers (augment, shields, repair times) they have broke stuff.
We have the top alliance on our server and win all prizes all the time, but 4 people have quit the last few days, thats more than the last 3 months.
Something is happening and they are ignoring it, just hope they do something before its too late. And its simple.
- Turn up refining
- Fix notifications
- Fix shield bugs
- Revert repair times / improve in line with cost reductions
Do that, and people will keep on spending

I play a lot, I have a lot of resources. The other day I was attacked with zero notification and zero shield. I had not been attacked for weeks. i was farming hostiles elsewhere. I got a notification after about the 5th attack. Im not a dumbass, or making this stuff up.
