However the relay servers aren't the greatest so I'd recommend direct IP access whenever possible (obviously don't use direct IP if you're with a stranger, you can literally see each other's public IP just by using glasswire)

I can get instant SGS on an absolutely horrendous speed test or overall internet speed, yet I don't get it for monthe upon months here with 500mbps and probably one of the lowest pings you can get on libreshit because salad doesn't seem to like this current IP I have

Last time this happened, I got instant SGS the day I got a new ip

Idk I don't work at salad, so I'll never know the true cause of all this

Hey guys, I don't have the option to enable Bandwidth sharing even I am in the supported region (CZ) Do you know why?
Edit: I just received the answer from the support team - If you tick the Video Streaming option in Workload Preferences it means that the bandwidth sharing is enabled and you won't see that in the Performance tab as it is shown on some screenshots (which is taken from older Salad versions).

Well, since your machine acts as a proxy for various services (like Netflix, via some of our clients) it is expected to see higher usage during the weekend since that is usually when users will be watching Netflix

In a similar fashion, there is usually higher usage when it's the evening / night in the targeted regions, though that can be more mitigated

In my experience IP address has been the biggest factor for me getting SGS, more than speed
A while back I've gone around 3 months without SGS until I got a new IP, recently it happened again where I went almost 6 months without SGS and instantly got it back on 2 devices upon getting a new IP.
your speeds are more than enough for bandwidth sharing so I don't think that should be stopping you from getting sgs

you just have to wait and hope that your network gets bandwidth sharing jobs. its pretty much completely luck based and you can't do anything about it besides having a clean residential IP address with no malicious history and a fast internet connection. also you have to live in a country which is supported for bandwidth sharing but that's not something you can really change xd.

Star chef doesn't affect bandwidth sharing, but I think it might affect CPU containers.. but there aren't many CPU containers out there anyways

actually there are tons of CPU containers, but most only last a few minutes and pay $0.10/day, so don't even show up on the earnings

Hi all, I've stopped getting bw jobs for the past 2 weeks after a router and pc reboot. I'm on an 8gbps up/dwn fibre connection in canada and used to make $2-3/day from my only pc which stays on 24/7 except for a monthly reboot, I would usually start earning in a day or two before but now absolutely $0 for 2 weeks. Any help?

Yes i did for some weeks, i was getting paid 2$ a day

Seems good right? It wasn't. Because they was also using 50gb of ram and my pc was very noisy and my room temperature kept increasing more and more, it was not sustainable. If they pay me 20$ a day then maybe i can suffer but 2$ no.

your ping is probably lowest for it. i think in glasswire or some other similar program you can block connections to a specific domain. maybe if it doesn't successfully ping it, it won't receive jobs from it

for some reason salad still runs it even if i block it in the firewall

im trying to get daffodil 4 on my hp laptop and lotus on my pentium laptop but salad keep starting lotus on my hp and deadfodill on my pentium

i want daffodil 4 on my hp laptop since its the only half decent gateway in the us and the laptop can handle the load

im not sure why salad keeps these dead gateways
