All their connections are symmetrical using XGS-PON in the uk you must advertise actual user seen speeds and “minimum guarantee speeds” , so they underestimate it to remain within the margin of error. My 1gb says 900 but I get 950 all day, that’s why you don’t get any gigabit services in the uk, just 900meg, unless it goes over or virgin does 1.1gb up then 50 up with it 😂😂

It does a download then upload speed test on their shitty speed-test server. You need to have at least 10mbps (on the shitty server) both ways to be eligible for bandwidth. You can see the results in the latest ndm log. Go to the salad app, then click the circle, show logs, open the ndm folder, find the latest one, open it.

No, sgs can start even if you have a next 24 hour displayed. As soon as it starts running, the next 24 hours will load indefinitely.

CGNAT is carrier grade NAT, it’s like your home router but to help with IPV4 limitations. ie your assigned an outside ip but it’s like 103.x.x.x:120 the 120 identifies who you are so packets can be forwarded to you. Just like when you’re connected to your home router on 192.168.1.0 etc, it’s becoming a lot more common now a days,

That just happens when the librespeed server you use can't figure out your ISP for whatever reason. Salad doesn't require it

No that’s not true, 255 is subnet used for different things. Residential IP’s can be any IP’s. Ie my ISP is really new (under 3 Y/O), when they first started they had a major issue because all the IP’s they bought were from the us so they’re customers were being geolocated there which meant you couldn’t load local content. They’ve since fixed it but it’s just a case of the ISP registering with themselves and stating connection type.

ARIN (American registry for internet numbers) RIPE APNIC etc record IP transfers, routing tables, etc etc.

I know it shouldn’t , it shouldn’t because salad establishes the connection from the host PC which has already been started by the user so NAT should be irrelevant. However my brother (Youfibre, 1gb up and down exact same as me prior to 8gig upgrade but he didn’t pay for the IP’s) achieved far less earnings than I. Very similar set ups, infact his laptop is more powerful with a GPU etc,

VDSL doesn’t mean your IP is static? I’ve had ADSL, VDSL (FTTC it’s called here in the uk) , cable, (DOCSIS) and FTTP, some static, some dynamic and some persistent dynamic. Internet connection type has no bearing on whether your IP is static. Google your ISP and it’ll tell you,

All we can do is give our best guesses based on either hints sometimes given by Salad, or other things i forgor.
There have been no such hints, leaks, or rumours about Bandwidth Sharing becoming available in Romania, I'm afraid, though this doesn't mean that it'll never be supported.
The nordic(?) regions, for example, were a complete surprise to us, along with a few others too.
