Got Salad installed on two devices, though one installs and runs sgs (been running 24/7 for a while), but the other does the speed test and sgs-client doesn’t install or anything. Any reason that could be?

there isn't any official confirmation or support if server / goofy versions of windows are supported - just 10/11 64-bit. anything beyond that is up to people to figure out with trial and error

I've taken a look at my sgs logs, and noticed that on the device I switched to using Salad with, whenever it gets a job, a little bit after it seems to restart without any log pointing to the reason, just another log file created for the restarted instance and wondered if it happened to anyone else as well.

Logs contain your speed test and what server you’re connected to for bandwidth sharing. Open salad>show logs>NDM>newest log=current speed test. Go back through the folders to salad>workloads>look for bandwidth-SGS-country>it’ll have a number or no number if connected to your countries first gateway, if they have one.

Salad doesn't really need to accurately determine what our maximum speeds are - They just need to know that our speeds are above the minimum that the customer(s) have defined - Usually 10mbps up and down

I’m always above 10mbps, I get like 240 down, 110 up with 8ms ping but I’ve tested neighbours who’s networks aren’t quite as fast (still minimum 20meg up) and sometimes their libre speed is 5-8meg up…

if i recall correctly, the servers aren’t the problem, since using the web test isn’t causing a lower upload than like 20-30mbps, so it is an issue with the cli app, which is why it’s a lot more complex to fix their problem
