when you merge you need to make sure its the same uv maps name on all parts

I can literally see the mesh file on your outliner, all merge does is condense the meshes into one mesh file which is what your trying to do

if you still have problems, like its all twisted or horrible looking. its either your rig not being proper, bones out of place, or the scale is wrong.

The Gothic Metal mod does not turn off properly. Whether it's on or off, there's no problem with that, but when you try to turn it off, the two models overlap.

Highly, one of the problems though is that the actual code is awful (no offense to the devs)
I'm planning on rewriting parts of it eventually to create some mod-tools but that'll take a while, currently i just grab stuff during runtime and use hacky methods to get the results i want but any expansive mod will require more dynamic scripting

Yes, none of the modelers know. I have downloaded 5 different mods and there is a problem with disabling them in each one.

Modding is currently pretty much limited to model-swapping, i think once people can add in story/gameplay interest in modding will increase a lot

The codebase isn't dynamic at all so anything expansive requires a ton of scripting, writing a bunch of mod tools that allow people to just do stuff like Mita.PlayDialogue("Hello World!"); is going to make it much easier for people to work on e.g: their own story mods

Correct but you can't really see the internal logic of the game considering it's il2cpp, very hard to understand why things happen, how to change them, etc. Best thing you've got is the 25% of the way decompiled interop lol
Lot of the logic is changed and things are thrown everywhere
The entire code is really odd, it looks like it's all based on instantiating everything in the world as objects and using Mono behaviour lifecycle to run the logic which is something I've never seen before
Also hard coding stuff like dialogue is something I thought we stopped doing +10 years ago
But hey, "Real artists ship" so who am I to critique them ๐

life would be so much easier with mono
the developers of Subnautica at one point in time tried il2cpp, but a lot of people disagreed and told them its not a good idea for modders
so they stuck with Mono, the devs

If you make blendshapes for your model with the same names and order, you might be able to get facial animations working

either needs more smoothing, or the armpit is painted to only one bone so that one has 100% influence
or maybe the model source is just bad

i think we did a merge by distance but maybe not on the torso
usually id get original model, usually the description will just write where did they get stuff from
because ported model will lose a lot of details
to match or simplify with the game engine
ill have a look but i wont be suprised if there nothing
could try to screenshot the model and reverse search at least
maybe there'll be some clue

@pulsar whale im assuming the model is bugging out ingame because i have only done like a quarter of the weighting ingame
its missing the clothes and the textures are messed up
