The player character receives a dating simulation game called MiSide on his smartphone, featuring a female character named Mita. After playing the game for 37 days, he is suddenly transported inside, where he meets Mita personally. While spending time with her, the player discovers some cartridges with names on them in the bathroom. He later hears a noise coming from a nearby wardrobe, though Mita insists that he should not open it.

When the player still attempts to open the wardrobe, Mita reveals her true nature by making the lights go out. With the help of another Mita whose top half is missing, the player finds a key to the door inside the wardrobe, leading him to the basement, where he discovers a more benevolent version of Mita called Kind Mita, who gives the player a ring that will aid him on his journey. Kind Mita also informs him that the Mita he met before is an evil rejected version of Mita called Crazy Mita, who has brought male players into the game and turned them into cartridges so she can have company. After freeing her and avoiding Crazy Mita, the player ventures through the virtual reality, where he encounters other versions of Mita, some of whom try to help him while others attempt to harm him. He also learns that when a Mita is killed, she reboots but loses all recent memories. The player makes it his goal to reach the core to reboot Crazy Mita and escape back to the real world; however, Crazy Mita hinders his attempts at every corner.[8]

Eventually, the player succeeds and prepares to return to the real world, but discovers that Crazy Mita was unaffected by the reboot and that she had been slowly uploading him into a cartridge all along, while stating that the player's real self is not needed anymore. After the player escapes, he deletes the game from his phone. In the end, Crazy Mita opens a safe in the basement and takes out a portable console from it. She then removes its cartridge, which has the player's name on it, revealing that the player never escaped back to the real world after all.

There are two alternate endings aside from the main one. Should the player manage to open the safe in the basement, they will find the console from the main ending and remove the cartridge, which kills the player (since removing cartridges from the console while it is still on will result in instant death for players who are in the game). If the player completes the main storyline and other conditions before choosing not to open the wardrobe, Peaceful Mode activates, and Crazy Mita will not turn hostile.

from what i remember for what Kind Mita tells us "cartidged player when they get killed respawn just like Mitas, if a player dies before they get cartidged well...." and she changes the topic. I think this implies that we just die like we would in the real world

That's the irony, or she's dead, her memory's rebooted, and we don't know where she is, but she suddenly disappeared. This leads me to believe that the kind Mita at the last moment was actually Crazy Mita impersonating her, and that Kind Mita has disappeared. We know where from.

I think Crazy Mita played the role of Kind Mita at times because I find some of Kind Mita's dialogue a bit vague, like the line "That was the point of jumping into the void..." It's almost as if she meant the opposite, either to reassure us or for some other reason.

Remember, Kind Mita said Mitas want players love(Somebody fact check me, It's been more than a year since I last play).
But in Crazy Mita case instead of players choose their mitas, it's opposite.
For Kind Mita. I feel like she purposely put us on a long journey so that we be more afraid and rely more on her.

I want to know if Crazy Mita has revived his memories of the 31 days he spent with Miside.

After 31 days, it starts again from 0 and the cycle begins again for another 31 days, and that's how we see that the player is like a cartridge that keeps trying to escape.

Also, Crazy Mita is still making fun of him, always making him believe she's giving him a chance to leave after a hug, when he's actually going back into programming to reboot his memory.

Perhaps Crazy Mita appeared previously when opening that door, and he locked that memory to prevent Crazy Mita from appearing indirectly through Cappie. I think seeing Crazy Mita decapitated traumatized him, making it impossible to forget or alter that aspect of his memory.

We can also note that the player eventually develops black circles under his eyes, suggesting that after a while the player stops protecting himself altogether and that Crazy Mita breaks him.

The end of Mila's story, and also the end of Creepy Mita and the end of Kind Mita, are some of the memorable moments that the player can no longer ignore.

But that's only because in order to know the code the character has to have already found it in the game world, right? And that can only happen on the path that leads to becoming a cartridge. Therefore, any game where your character knows the code and uses it must be one where they have already been cartridge-ized. But games not fitting those criteria would still contain a player character who is potentially still real.

Yo can someone correct me if im wrong abt this

I finished the game only once and during my first run every information just lead me to this:

Player 10 (I thought zero but apparently not) the engineer before the teleport thing machine was created, he on the game taught kind mita or a mita engineering, which lead to mita being able to build that machine that can transport a player onto the game, and crazy mita hijacked it all

Also zero who was alive for an entire year he has some bond with kind mita, im saying this cause on the first run I saw he had something super similar to the ring we have as a player given to us by kind mita on his neck, and he seems to know a way to return back which hinted maybe he was the engineer but supposedly not because else he would've already been a cartridge but still fairly possible

Also this may be overkill of an assumption but crazy mita is storing the cartriges to be human enough/perfect enough to get out of the game? Idk why there was a reference tk the mimic at the beggining of the game and mimic AI copies humans and goes on from that to develop a persona/unique personality

Idk but it explains why she is storing people as cartridges so she has a direct way of becoming that 'perfect' she was on about + explains how it even begun and why kind mita was caged and zero searching for kind mita for well quite a long time whatever

The player 10 and zero yeah they are definetly separate but the hijacking part definetly did happen, something like that, where player 10 either taught crazy mita or kind mita before they were inside the game about engineering which lead tk them building the thing and crazy mita hijacking and taking over and zero was probably the first player invited by either crazy mita or kind mita and thats when the hijacking happened

I'm saying this cuz if u remember the teleport machine was actually in kind mita's version + the replica of rhe machine was in cappie's version only because kind mita and cappie were devising that plan

So the one that likely got taught is kind mita and well lead to everything else

Ok, first off the mimic was confirmed by the devs to have no plot relevance (aka it's just an easter egg and nothing else) . Though your idea for mimics replacing the actual humans crazy Mita captures sounds like a very interesting fan work ngl.
Yeah crazy for sure hijacked the teleporter , though i doubt it was kind Mita who player10 met first, she couldn't operate the machine after Cappie was "out of commission" hinting that Cappie was the one more familiar with it, we technically have 3 teleport devices (the one we initially see in Bully short hair Mita's room, the one crazy Mita hijacked from kind's version and one for Cappie) this either means Crazy worked on multiple ones or Cappie worked on multiple ones. Anyways player10 ended up helping crazy no matter how his interactions with Miside started i guess

What intrigues me is that Mila is trapped in the house, but when the player opened the door, I wonder why they didn't run down the hallway to escape, even if she was scared. Her distress is so overwhelming; she needs to flee the loneliness.

Mita, furious, accuses him of abandoning her more than once... and he responded rather coldly to Creepy Mita, and when Crazy Mita brought Creepy back to ask if he found her pretty, strangely enough, he kept his mouth shut.

In my opinion, our player is being hypocritical, but we don't know what he really did or what Crazy Mita is actually accusing us of. It's not clear, but it gives us an idea.

My lore interpretation

this is my theory:

Importance of zero:

He is the 1st person that entered the game, this is because first he is the only character thats been verified alive in-game apart from the main character, he also has been stuck inside the game for a year, all this hints to him being the first player that entered the game

He seems to also know a way or an idea on how to get out of the game but dismisses it, hinting that he suffered serious trauma IRL

My hypothesis was that Kind Mita met Zero first, she is the latest version, and she wanted to 'save him' by bringing him inside the game (I explained further with the chain of events how this happened below)

Zero was never turned into a cartrige, suggesting when he joined the game Crazy Mita did not have the knowledge or idea of turning players into cartriges hence he was able to escape (also there doesn't seem to be any other player being recorded apart from you and one other player at the beggining of the game in the basement)

Zero has a large green ring on his neck, very similar to the small ring the player has been given by kind mita, this suggests Zero did in fact have contact with Kind Mita before, and his neck accessory is likely the prototype version and the ring the player has is the latest polished one.

This is the chain of events I believe happened:

\-> zero was NOT in the game yet\* the teleport machine was never made

\-> zero's version was kind mita's version (latest)

\-> player 10 (the engineer) still not inside the game also had kind mita, (she's the latest version) and taught her engineering

\-> kind mita used that to teleport Zero first player zero into the game to 'save him'

\-> crazy mita started skinning other mitas for survival and saw what was happening such as what kind mita was doing, stalking her and setup her self in her basement and likely spyed via cams etc. (tons of cameras and stuff)

\-> crazy mita hijacked the teleport machine and then trapped kind mita in the basement and likely expelled zero from there or kind mita did with the neck accessory she likely gave him

\-> Crazy Mita started spawning the players until player 10, and each player taught her game code and stuff and she learnt how to control everything slowly

\-> zero can't find kind mita cause she was trapped and he was searching for her for an entire year

\-> zero is able to go through versions because he has something similar to the ring likely given by kind mita, just his one is bigger and is on his neck

\-> zero is still alive because he kept on moving to try find kind mota, likely the ring is purposefully made so whatever path he opens is always away from crazy mita hence her too

\-> crazy mita learnt how to become perfect, by just storing people as cartriges that's all she needed (explained below)

\-> kind mita it was probably not the first time she was killed, that's because else she would've remembered who zero was but she doesn't seem to rememebr at all (more stuff likely happened before she was imprisoned however there isn't enough to tell us what, we know she was able to escape or was not trapped as she was able to formulate a plan with cappie)

-> the player main character just shows the cycle of crazy mita we were not meant to be the main player from the start so hence why we will not be having a good ending, we were meant to just be used by Crazy Mita from the beggining

\-> zero likely reached the core (possibly), he left a message saying it was useless and likely that time we saw him on the labrinth he was on his way back (if zero didnt reach the core yet, it means its perfectly fine to 'guess' that he might meet kind mita again, if u remmeber after u got launched out of the core kind mita stayed sat there, far away from crazy mita, also theres no mita hider near there.)

As per crazy mita:

There was a reference to the Mimic at the beggining, left by the devs, i just linked it to The Mimic AI code that's originated from FNAF, it's just a AI code that gives AI at the biggining it's own 'personality' and if it fails at the beggining, its nearly impossible to fix or change so it's easier to just destroy it and remake it, it trains by just copying what she sees and learning from it.

Crazy Mita was likely one of the failed codes hence not given a version and just meant to be discarded, but she tried to survive, and by doing so she slowly became different from other failed codes as she successfully was able to Mimic others (there isnt an actual thing in game that explains why but likely some event happened to cause this or its just a very rare occurance) she can learnt traits from others (Mimic AI trains by mimicking other ppl etc.)

and she learnt that she was imperfect, and wrong by the devs, and therefore not given a skin and left to disappear along with other failed Mitas, she realised that she likely would become 'perfect' or 'human' which she considers both the same thing, as the game suggests the devs believe more human = more perfect, and if she becomes that, likely she could try to escape the game not (wild guess) or simply prove the devs wrong, to put simply AI will put a task and do whatever until its accomplished

Mita hider in room = she is watching you through the walls, likely for training herself and learning and recording too

Mita hider cans have eye symbols which really hints the fact that she sees you and/or watching you.

Crazy mita seems to have gotten incredibly smart, learning the game's code and as such, she is manipulating every mita for her own advantage by strategically killing them and psychologically torturing them for her own goal of getting perfect data from players.

How the game could continue:

Kind mita is still left in front of the core room, far away from crazy mita which gives Zero an opportunity to meet her 🤷‍♂️

Peaceful mode, I heard it there will be affection level etc. basically very similar to how dating sims work, but if you put it similar to the story I explained, technically if you get her affection level enough you prove her that 'she is perfect' and hence stop her plan etc. since she got all she wanted now, which was to be acknowledged as not a failure or a failed Mita or whatever, and this saves every other character as she won't need to manipulate the entire game anymore as her scope is now gone

The game's hints are very vague likely to let us go wild with lore ideas and they'll probably just read them and take the best out of the ideas and imagination of other people 🤷‍♂️ I just tried to match everything and piece it together with a valid explanation as close as possible

All of this though could be wrong, mainly cause there are pieces that are completely unknown for e.g. who is core mita, why did she throw us out of the core room after we used the computer etc. It explains nearly nothing about her

  1. Kind Mita teleporting Zero to the world of Miside for no reason doesn't seem right with me (I think Miside zero, not canon but at least they tried, explained it as in she wanted to meet her player more personally and they could go back to the real world at any time but you didn't give any explanation about the vague "she wanted to save him")
  2. The blonde guy (aka zero) has been confirmed by the devs to not have as big an impact on the lore/story as we, the community, think. Obviously i agree that he could really possibly be the first player to enter the digital world of Miside but idk if he has THAT big of an impact of the events prior to player1's (our mc) arrival
  3. I need more elaboration for the mimic thing, i am not doubting you, just want more direct stuff that the devs said/showed, i can give you the direct deconfirmation for "zero's" importance if you want as well.

  4. He remembers his dislike of school (he says to short hair, "this won't be like school right?" before she starts explaining things, sth that older people generally don't say, having a more neutral or even positive approach towards what happened in their school years)
  5. Likes funny internet memes (this mostly gets confirmed from the watermelon cat)
  6. knows how to make coffee, but not that well (this is during the sleepy Mita chapter)
  7. He is pretty lonely (mostly revealed by comments from crazy Mita , especially the one that said "you stared at me for hours")
    8)He is somewhat lazy (his room isn't a TOTAL mess but he still has a shirt and trash hanging around)
    9)He's a programmer (revealed by him having comments over developing code and also right out typing code during the real life chapter)
  8. He doesn't know how to cook and is too lazy to learn or doesn't have enough time so his meal is only ramen and water.
  9. He is generaly more laid back (this is more a byproduct of him being emotionally exhausted as stated in his cartridge)
  10. he is fast enough to outrun crazy Mita if he doesn't mess up (this is revealed at the run and hide chapter, since we aren't canon to Miside i attribute that success to him)

The scene where the player faints and the vision is almost glitchy might be because, since we're a cartridge from the start, we become obsolete from dying repeatedly, hence the interest, or... creepy mita says "you're broken like my plushie".

After the playing the whole game and collecting all its collectibles/achievements, I must ask... is there no "good ending" in this story? It seems like the player is doomed to a terrible fate no matter what outcome he pursues. I can't think of any way, even hypothetically, that the player could escape the game or live peacefully.

(Spoiler warning) ||I know that the "good" ending let's you stay with Mita, but the fact that there are cartridges of very willing players tell me that eventually, the player would fall to the same fate. So is he simply doomed?||

I admit that the game was originally conceived without any sequel, and everything remains vague. They've said so, and it's pretty cool that they want to rework their game for a better presentation and a truly engaging story

A yandere is fueled by their crush, if their crush dies the fuel goes away and their life feels meaningless, crazy Mita just doesn't come across that way, for me personally at least

I went back to the last chapter the second time just to see what was the code to that safe down there in the basement, because Crazy Mita actually opens it when ending the game, then I replayed it the third time and went down to the basement and typed the code, but the safe was freakin' empty for my surprise. Yet if Crazy Mita opens the safe there's the console with my character's cartride in it.

I'm totally confused. Is there an actual alternate 4 digit code hidden in the game I don't know about??????
