「こんにちは」?
Sorry I learned hiragana yesterday and got too excited
Nah it’s all good, think of it like konnichiha
or Ko N Ni Chi Ha
You get used to the は sounding like わ once you realize how often its used in sentences
こんにちは
いいよ!
What got you in to learning 日本語 btw?
WE will visit it someday 🥹
how many languages do you know twin?
I know English, Français, and im on day 72 of learning 日本語
What about you?
i know Spanish, English, Portuguese and i started learning 日本語 like 1 week ago
Noice, and btw
What keyboard you use for 日本語
Do you use the romaji or 日本語かな keyboard?
On my pc or phone?
Phone
Cuz on PC, you’re kind of forced to get new hardware if you don’t wanna use romaji 😅
I find it faster to type like this
Yeah, that’s the 日本語かな keyboard 🔥
And I like how the little “小” there means “small” and fits perfectly into the keyboard since it makes certain hiragana and katakana smaller
yes because you can easily change the sound
한글 is an easy language
compared to JP you can learn hangul within a week
heck some within a day
maybe after i learn 日本語
What languages have you learned?
Coming from a hokkien guy since we dont speak mandarin
Hokkien, canto, japanese, korean, and peenoy (filipino internet slang)
I dont speak tagalog i speak peenoy
Dude... i suck at tagalog what more with spanish
no es tan dificil, es parecido con el ingles
Puta ako hindi alam ito
damn
how long did it take you to learn allat
I used Duolingo to memorize ひらがな and カタカナ, and now im lowkenuinely just immersing myself in raw Japanese content for hours every day and use anki to practice my grammar and familiarize myself more with 漢字。
And what do you use? I know you say you’re learning with native speakers but what do you mean by that?
For now I don't know many words, but for learning ひらがな I looked up all the symbols and the やゆよ combinations and repeatedly wrote them, that's what I'm gonna do to learn katakana too
duolingo
that app sucks! Lingodeer is better
What do you mean the やゆよ combinations? Also, I recommend you learn both ひらがな and カタカナ at the same time (I made the mistake of learning it one at a time 😭) it’ll save you some time
And I found that actually using the characters to spell words helped a lot better at memorizing than just plain “writing them 100 times and hoping for the best”
怖
I guess I made the mistake too
The combinations
きゃ
きょ
きゅ
おやすみ!(о´∀`о)
Oh those? Why would you need to practice those specifically? What about きぇ or ふぉ? And aren’t they just the same characters but smaller?
Because I have bad vision and they're smaller, if I read it wrong it would be a different word
きや = kiya
きゃ = kya
Do you not have glasses?
Dw, i get whatchu mean
i don't like how they look on me
Oh loll, why’d you pick that frame then
Also dw, once you get more familiar with Japanese words, you probably won’t need to hassle over each letter
Sort of how we read in English and don’t really read letter by letter yk
We’ve just seen them so many times we already know what the word will be before actually reading each letter
because I'm restarted
What about turning up the zoom on the phone though
おはよう~
