My principle in cooking is add anything reasonable together and it’ll be fine. I didn’t know how to cook until this year too

I heckin love soy sauce scrambled eggs

mix eggs, a teaspoon or two of soy sauce and some sugar together

scramble the eggs with those (be sure to leave it a little raw!!!)
and sprinkle on somee mint leaves along with a bit of ketchup

it tastes absolutely amazing with rice🔥 Goes well with cream cheese and bread too

i make egg fried rice with old rice a lot

cook rice on a sunday night (shouldnt be more than 20-30 minutes in a pot and you dont have to do anything while it cooks) -> put it into meal prep containers for the rest of the week

every day of the week get rice, eggs, green onions, soy sauce and oil + salt, pepper or whatever seasonings u want (i usually put salt and cajun seasoning)

oil the pan -> fry green onions -> when fried, move to side and fry eggs on another side of the pan (i usually do about 3 eggs per serving but thats because i really like eggs, u can just do one. in this economy ive started doing 1 egg too LOL)

if you want more veggies like peas, carrots etc fry them w the green onions

once all fried, put the old rice in

mix it up -> add soy sauce around the sides of the pan so that it seeps into the edges of the rice -> more mixing

saute a little and then taste and add salt and other seasonings as you like

Rice bowl: little bit of rice, protein of your choice(I use smoked salmon or steak) , spicy mayo, avocado/any green of your choice, little bit of vinegar, little bit of sesame oil/seeds, seaweed take out whatever you don’t like and add whatever you like

Weird tip: if you have shin ramyun, just eat the noodles with some chicken bullion, salt, fish sauce, chives, and other toppings. Save the seasoning packet because it surprisingly makes for a good dry seasoning for steak and also for marinating/base for sauces. I know it sounds weird but it’s basically pre-portioned seasoning without much effort
