how would i find the zeroes of v(t)= -1.8cos(0.4t) + 0.72tsin(0.4t) if i’m trying to find when a particle changes direction

ummmm

#

so wait you wanna find when the velocity changes direction or the position?

#

if it’s just velocity you set it equal to 0

#

and solve for t

i tried

but i got stuck

#

like what do i do after i set it equal to zero

Not too sure about this one, it’s all correct up till the last line though

do i not set it equal to zero?

Heres what I got
When t = 2.15
-1.8cos(0.4t) + 0.72tsin(0.4t) = -0.001247 ≈ 0

So the value of t is somewhere around 2.15
v(2.15) ≈ 0

Theres no boundaries either it will reach zero more than one time
