perhaps you can look over your notes after school every day. i understand every day might be a bit hard so every few days or even every week would probably do
you can also give yourself practice questions from the topics you learnt a while ago because when your brain tries to retain memory that it hasnt looked at in a while, you can remember it better after that
If you want good grades then honestly just do the assignments given to you and try to let them not pile up since it’s more work and the quality of the work is prob not the greatest. Also STUDY my grades slipped a bit in math bc I wasn’t studying enough 🥲 and if you’re struggling then ask for help. Even if it’s scary just ask teachers for help and they’ll help you.
my friend has 100s in alot of their subjects. they used the pomodoro technique and studied everyday, abd they also used help from youtube, textbooks and discord servers
actually give a shit about your class. the only time i didn't do as well was because i could care less about the course
always try to stay on top of all your assignments regardless of how much of a bitch the thing might be
also try not to make any assignments MISSING
missing assignments and late assignments are two different things but you'd rather get a score than have a flat zero
stay connected to your teachers as well. if something comes up and it makes you unable to do things, email them! it's hard since teachers can be scary but communication is key
try to make friends in your class too. i have the same issue to this day but it helps if you know someone and can reach out to them for assignments and stuff if you miss or need help with them. it's a lot harder to maintain and understand if you don't as quickly and have no one to reach out to for help
set up some kind of organizational system for school, it can be online like google calendar or notion, or just a simple notebook planner.
I’m assuming you’re in hs, so teachers generally don’t tell you when every assignment is due but they should at least tell you what the grade breakdown and maybe when the big assignments/exams are about.
AS SOON AS you are assigned something, anything, write it down somewhere with it’s due date and label it with what section it counts towards (hw/quiz/project/etc). I like to use google calendar for this because if I see it on my calendar I’m more likely to actually do it because it can't be ignored or forgotten about that way.
If you're a procrastinator especially with bigger projects, set the due date to a couple days earlier to trick yourself.
