was there an event or smth that explained?

Oh, um you're right and most of the important stuff was explained in events that took place on dragonspine, and since they were relatively early events, I wasn't there to experience it myself but you should be able to find VODs or videos of it on youtube-
To answer your questions,
"Made from something else": Albedo is a synthetic human being (specifically called a Homunculi) created from chalk by Rhinedottir, a.k.a. Gold. They're supposedly some kind of genius Alchemist that probably has ties to Alice and is somehow even more elusive... this is actually a rather important part of his character and why it makes no sense why it was locked behind a limited event, but whatever ig
"Might Lose Control"/"Possibly destroy Mond": If you put it into the context of him being Durin's (The dragon that went crazy and tried to destroy Mond several hundred years ago and was stopped by Dvalin) 'brother', (He and Durin were both made by Rhinedottir) who had been known to go crazy, and the fact that remains of Durin's body and still beating heart are still left on Dragonspine to continue reminding him of the incident, you can assume that he'd be rather concerned that he may also be capable of such things.
Most important albedo centered limited time events are as follows: "Shadows Admist Snowstorms", and "The chalk Prince and the dragon" Out of both, I believe that "The chalk prince and the dragon" is the most important one and the one that goes over all that we've mentioned so far, so if you want to try understand it for yourself or if you want to find details that I've probably missed, that's probably where you should start, too :)
