in terms of systems of equations, you set the number of hoops marko shot as m and ante as a.
ante shot 8 more than marko so
a=8+m
together they shot 22
a+m=22
so you just substitute a with the first equation
(m+8)+m=22
if you solve for m, m=7, so then you solve for a which means a=15
So what u 1st do is 22-8 en then do the answer of that divided by 2 so ex 22-8=14 then do 14:2
you can do this in two ways that are similar.but this is the easier way . so you have two things we dont know : the amount ante shot and the amount marko shot . and we have two equations,so solving this is possible. first things we do is substitute ante and marko and write the first equation :ante = marko +8 . we know this is true because ante shot 8 more times than marko
then we write the other equation we have
ante + marko =22
now we know that the ante and marko in both of these
are equal
so we can exchange between them
one way pf doing this is substituting marko as ante + 8
again we know we can do this because ante = marko + 8
then now
the only thing we dont know is ante
so we just isolate ante
and we get the answer
dog shit explanation but here you go
hope it helped
