Itemgroups refusing to show up, help?

for some reason, when i make an itemgroup to put my items in, it will just not show up in creative mode. I've tried so many things, up to copying a friends itemgroup code, but nothing makes it appear. Any help would be appreciated.

you are never calling ModItemGroups.registerItemGroups

which you would have found out by simply looking at the logs or setting a breakpoint in that function
