this is my attempt at a magic mod without making it too immersion breaking
Main Feature: Evocation Scrolls
evocation scrolls are the main (and really only) feature of this mod, they can be found in structures as loot and have one spell in them, which can be increased by combining it with another scroll in an anvil (max 3 spells per scroll). each spell has a material component which is an item you need to cast the spell, to cast a spell you just need to hold a scroll and one of it's spell's material component and then you right click to cast the spell and then you have a cooldown on the scroll depending on the spell. the material component is consumed by the casting.
Spell Idea: Summon Spectres
material component: totem of undying
cooldown: 30 seconds
effect: summons 3 specters that protect you, acting like beefier vexs, having 18 HP and having 7 attack damage, they attack with their claws and are able to teleport near people, and are still able to go through walls.
Spell Idea: Magic Missile
material component: arrow
cooldown: 1 second
effect: summons a stationary magic missile that can be fired upon left clicking with the scroll, deals 8 damage per hit and can be cast multiple times and fired at the same time
Spell Idea: Fang Ward
material component: netherite scrap
cooldown: 7 seconds
effect: summons a circle of evoker fangs around the caster, a creature hit by the fangs gets slowness 2 for 10 seconds
Spell Idea: Moonbeam
material component: amethyst shard
cooldown: 15 seconds
*effect:*summons a beam of moonlight with the radius of one block where the caster is looking that lasts for 20 seconds and deals 14 damage to anyone who goes in it, this can only be cast at night
Spell Idea: The Hoard
material component: gold block
cooldown: 1 minute
Effect: Summons 3 piglins (armed) and 1 piglin brute acting like pets attacking anyone you attack, and defending you, they last for 2 minutes
