Felt nostalgic for the Familiars mod, so I decided to port it since it has been a while since it's seen the light of day (MC 1.5)
It also allows other people to add their own companions with no hassle, meaning other people can create familiars for this as well. Will probably be out in the next 1 or 2 days since I have to add a main page for the book, add XP unlocking (right now all you do is press the button), and configs.
