#Paper to Fabric port tool trims

that's the datapack version
packaged as a mod (honestly I don't know why people do this but eh)
I like the plugin version more because it uses the regular smithing table and crafting recipes
shameless self promo, it's not the same as tool trims but it uses the vanilla smithing table and vanilla smithing templates

It doesn't require to be a mod since 1.20.5+
Since you can add custom smithing recipes with components
It's always been a datapack/resource pack combo at the core
You could make any item trimmable since the first snapshot trims were added
oh yeah Paper didn't like trims on non-armor items
This request can be done with just datapacks now
And answering to this... People do it so you don't have to install a global datapack loading mod
I like the other one better because it has unique trim patterns
sorry lol
fair enough
will probably be updating my pack at some point to have unique trim patterns as well, just will take a bit because making 103 textures with only a few pixels is painful 😅
I thought it'd be more painful the more pixels ;-;
