I got tired of walking my friends through the process of installing modpacks, so I made a program that can generate an installer for any modpack you give it: https://github.com/Igrium/PackMaker
#Automatic Modpack Installer Generator

make sure that mrpacks with .. files error!
../../../../../Google Chrome/sneakyfile.exe
yup got that
Though I've never quite understood the severity of that vulnerability. A bad actor could just put a malicious mod in the pack
at least the malicious mod isn't run until you launch the modpack
with a malicious install, stuff could happen even if you aren't playing the modpack
@grand trout ^ ?
Isn't this what we need?
I know skye is working on one, but here's one now
hmm, perhaps
Does this install fabric too, or nah?
which will automate the process of installing the modpack, alongside Fabric and the right version of Minecraft.
From what I understand, you need to create one installer for each version of the pack. it's cool but I prefer having an installer able to install multiple versions of the same pack
It's not supposed to be a replacement for an actual launcher or modpack manager. It's basically for when you want to invite a friend to your modded server or smth without the hassle of walking them through setting it all up
True, but let's be real: who actually installs a modpack but never opens it
an actual use case is someone checking a modpack's files before playing it
