mhh, with somewhat short timespans, perhaps it'd be more natural/quicker to read if it was a bar? like maybe as a circle around the crosshair or somekind of revamp to the vanilla attack indicator to also have a "strong attack" phase? (btw what is a strong attack? I thought something like that is from the combat test snapshots? or am I really that rusty on my pvp knowledge? lol)
maybe this could be an idea for your crosshair mods? @stark isle
there is the vanilla attack indicator that shows that as a bar, which you can set to "at crosshair"
painting numbers there seems overcomplicated
(is that not even default? I forgor)
Yes there is a vanilla attack indicator, but it's quite small and mostly transparent. There's no numbers by default.
Strong attack is just a fully charged attack (maybe it has to be considered not a knockback attack). The name comes from the subtitles I think (diff sounds for diff attacks).
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/halohud can show a bigger attack meter (can easily disable the other stuff), but it's still a bar
(I really need to update the screenshots on that, oof)
ah, yeah. I figured they weren't referring to that since the vanilla attack indicator is fairly usable already imo (like I would think numbers would be a downgrade). But of course it could probably be improved if someone wanted it more visible (maybe color changing would be good as well?)
