Pretty much a remove blaze3d mod
why?
Because I miss the old look and feel and even with a rp, I can still feel a difference
you're probably better off just playing 1.12.2 then, because porting everything rendering-related to modern minecraft could take 100's to 1000's of hours, and not be compatible with other mods (like sodium or optifine, which you'd definitely want as well)
like what you're asking is a really difficult task for a change that's personal preference at most
I feel like ever since 1.15, they didnt exactly copy the old rendering when making blaze 3d and there is still a ton of left over things that needed to be changed to match 1.14 and below
Do you think you can describe the exact things that are being rendered differently?
fov, block lighting, inventory lighting
all I can remember were the few bugs with banner item lighting in the inventory, but that got sorted out to something decent eventually
I can feel it the most when mining stone on 1.12 compared to 1.20, something just feels off
also they said they were gonna open source blaze3d but never did
idk if its a hypixel issue exactly, but stairs/slabs dont light properly
oh like the dark shadow in the cutout section of a stairs block?
yea
yeah that's hypixel, or rather that 1.8.9's lighting system is different than modern. In 1.8.9, the light level within a block is 0, but is rendered with the light level of what's exposed on the side (I think)
