#Horse Overhaul

I really like using horses in Minecraft, probably because I watch Bdubs. However, I've always felt like more could be done with them. So, in about 3 days after a month of having this idea stuck in my head, I made this. It is heavily inspired by the horse mechanics from the Legend of Zelda series(specifically BoTW, but probably in other games as well).

This mod currently includes:

  • A simple horse speed buff of about 1.25x
  • A simple horse jump buff of about 1.15x
  • Dust particles behind the dust(an idea I've had for multiple months now)
  • And, of course, the horse dashing mechanic

The code is somewhat buggy, especially the HUD rendering code. And I don't even know if it'll work on multiplayer(most likely not). It does pretty much everything I wanted it to. But, I was wondering if it would be worth my time trying to figure out how to get this mod working on servers. If you think you could get some usage out of this mod on a server, please let me know. Otherwise, it'll stay as a singleplayer only mod.

Also, if you have any ideas that isn't already in the Horse Buff mod, then let me know too! I still feel like there are other fun ideas to add to this mod that I haven't thought of yet.

(I had maybe too much fun making the video, LOL)

Yeah, the code for that might as well be held together with duck tape. I plan on improving it later on.

I'm also probably going to have a config to allow for the UI to be edited slightly, so you will be able to scale it and offset it a bit. However, I think the default scale should not cover the action bar text, so that'll get fixed as well. I personally like how it is scaled, just not how it covers the action bar.
