"A simple mod that adds a decision to sail to the Smoking Sea in order to find a Dragon.

There are 3 tiers of dragons: Small Dragon, Large Dragon, and Great Dragon. I've tried my best to balance how strong they are.

How to obtain a Dragon:

  1. You must be of Valyrian Heritage, without this you are unable to take the decision.

  2. Take the Search for a Dragon decision - keep in mind this won't show up if you already own a dragon.

  3. Pray that you get good RNG and manage to get yourself a dragon.
    NOTE: "Fire Obsessed" trait slightly increases your chances of a dragon, and being a Targaryen with the Pure Blood trait dramatically increases your chances of getting a Great Dragon.

  4. EQUIP YOUR DRAGON! Your Dragon must be equipped in order to summon it! It's a Weapon-type artifact.

  5. A major decision will appear once you have the Dragon equipped - keep in mind this decision costs a lot of gold. You basically feed your dragon and it spawns a Special unit.

Your Dragon has a lifespan, it cannot be "repaired" or "reforged". The Small Dragon lives for 50 years while the Great Dragon can live up to 200 (just like Balerion!); they can also be inherited by your kids.

I'm not 100% certain how powerful dragons are, I've tested them a few times as Aerys during Robert's Rebellion and they're pretty strong - but you aren't immortal. If you try to face a huge army with just you and your dragons it's highly likely you'll lose. (A Great Dragon might win though)

but the mod has a feature where if you're a Targaryen Pure blood with the fire obsessed trait, your chances of a Great Dragon are over 80%

A feature what would be nice for the Future is a Breeding of new Dragons for you Child’s and maybe a Special Duchy Building like Dragon Keep that Boost you Chance of find or breed new Dragons.

So I claimed the throne by right of dragon, won a hard fought war and once it was over, it shattered the realm.

Everyone who sided with me became independent of me and their liege, so not only are they free of the Iron Throne but if you look at the Vale and Westerlands they're now shattered
