CoP feels both too dead and too alive, simply due to the amount of Stalkers that stormed to the North when the Brain Scorcher got deactivated and due to the maps being too large and too game-y

Well-known paths became inaccessible due to the appearance of anomalies, will access to previously unexplored areas have been opened. Even back then, it was a hub for many Stalkers. All of the Stalkers who were there got trapped and likely died a slow death. After the Emission, Freedom sent out scouts to explore the Army Warehouses and both Free Stalkers and Freedom Stalkers decided to take over the Barrier from the now dead Military and to voluntarily defend the rest of the Zone from everything that tries to penetrate the line
