That's something I want to see more of in 2: squads, groups, pairs and individuals with a unique set of goals (IE: "There must be a way to save my fellow fallen soldiers who became snorks. I'm on a mission to capture as many as I can so the egg-heads can figure out a cure")

i get that its not the elderscrolls with its creation engine. I could make a mods for oblivion, when I was like 13, but PavlovVR runs on UE4 for example and is piss easy to mod. Pretty much anything you can do with the UE4 sdk can be a mod or map for that game.
Compare that to stuff like the newer IDtech engines, where they disabled mod support on purpose and you can only achieve tweaks around the edges with community developed tools, that are against TOS. Even Source 2 is still very limited in terms of what you can do compared to what you can do in UE4, but that is mostly because it hasnt been out long @short galleon

Are you playing stock / vanilla SoC? If so, then you need to go and talk to the Scientists in the big metal box you likely passed on your way to the area the Lab is in. They'll help you out, after a bit of convincing! 😉

Okay, I've done a bit of digging. Apparently this can happen if you set the game to a higher resolution and ask it to use windowed mode. You might well have not asked them to do that however I know from experience that swapping cards can cause some...Issues, shall we say. Do you know where your "User.ltx" file lives?

I mean, it might. If the issue is caused by new GPU messing with software defaults / detections, or the game is set up for old card not new one. Which, yes, reinstalling should indeed fix. But it strikes me as fishing with dynamite; Overkill. 😝

Still, at least I can impart a little wisdom; SoC's "User.ltx" is usually found in C:\Users\Public\Documents\stalker-shoc. It's just a big list of all the settings and what you've changed them to. CS and CoP stick them in an 'appdata' folder where all the other files ago. Useful to know as there are some settings in there that you can't change in the settings menu in-game. 👍
I was going to suggest finding "rs_fullscreen" and making sure it was set to "on" cos I know vanilla SoC and CS have problems with windowed mode, and I have waaaaaay too much experience with GPUs being funky when you install them. 😝

Shadow of chernobyl was a masterpiece, great story, good endings, and game was so easy that you walkthrough it like a knife throught butter.
