Hey folks, never played a Stalker game before but am going to give them a try. I hear however that they (particularly SoC) can be a little buggy and outdated and have some issues. I was wondering if there are any mods/tweaks which help to fix it up, maybe make it look pretty and generally round off the edges which also work for a first time playthrough.

Believe it or not, despite the talk about them being buggy (CS is said to be more buggy than SoC) they ruin quite fine without modifications

What mods do you guys recommend

I have played stalker soc and lost alpha so far and what i've noticed is the aiming down is a little crappy plus movement can be bit weird

Other than that it is weird that the people are having like 10 rounds for a gun that is like 90% broken

CoC is a good start, throw in an arsenal overhaul mod if you want to try different weapons, there’s even mods specifically based for faction wars if you’re into that.

You get a lot more if people request the weapon rather then selling it unless you don’t have anything.

I’ve never found a solid reason to shoot in full auto.
If I recall correctly, aren’t the AI billet sponges to the chest and below? Because I always tap fire and aim for the head.

Full auto just wastes immense amount of rounds only for say one or a couple of kills, whereas semi-auto and to the head are more efficient.
