Would be nice to meet them throughout your journey especially Nimble, I felt he was amazing in Stalker: Call of Pripyat with his ability to offer the player special items. I would only say the lottery system should be scraped as it just forces players to save scum for what they want defeating the point of the lottery system. Just give him an ordinary store and at most give the player a wait time.

To be honest, everyone in the Zone sucks.

Loners are there either because of greed or because they need to run away from a hard life or their crimes
Duty are military deserters whose commander had to fake a loss of communications so he could convince his men the military hated them
Freedom are a bunch of stalkers who have no real structure and do shady dealings with bandits
Bandits are there simply to burgle and bully others
Renegades are just bandits with a different name
the Monolith are all brainwashed and kill everyone who isn't them without a second thought
the Military are trying to enforce order, but the corruption within their own ranks and the fact that there are now factions equal in strength to them within the Zone shows how little they can actually achieve
Clear Sky's leaders are a part of the team of scientists responsible for the creation of the Zone
Mercenaries are just murderers for hire
the Ecologists are the only good people in the Zone, but they are weak and cowardly

For example, Freedom NPC in CS is hostile towards Bandits, yet the Player is Neutral towards them

#

This would leave to suggest that one is initially Neutral to them, in case they weren't already enemies

For example, a CS Free Stalker joining Freedom would be hostile towards Bandits, because of his previous history against said faction.

#

However, being Neutral to Bandits just means that you tolerate them. This doesn't mean they are friends.

First him and his group(Fang and Ghost) set out to try and get to the center of the zone, Ghost and Fang die, leaving Strelok.
Than comes Scar to try and stop Strelok, succeeds, zone expands, Strelok than in CoP goes through underground system to finally meet with military and leave the zone?
And since Scar and Clear Sky are probs the only ones knowing what Strelok did and wanted to do, they’re still in the zone while Strelok left and can tell his story.

it is SoC + better graphics + odd looking "autumn" theme that's surprisingly dark and not really autumn looking at all + new gameplay mechanics and some overall controversial changes that aren't for everyone, coming from Misery inspiration

OGSR has much better graphics and everything else really, although it expands the story a bit so might not be ideal for a first playthrough if that's what you're doing

OGSR uses a 64-bit DX10/DX11 engine

I haven't had too much of an issue with inventory weight-management. There was one instance in which I didn't want to leave behind a 110 and a Nagant, but I was overweight to begin with. Had to drop a lot of ammunition and my AN-94.

If you download from ModDB you need a 7Zip program.

I don’t know what I’m doing with myself in CoP, I have yet to go to Pripyat 1 because I haven’t recruited ex monolith to Yanov yet, and all I’m doing is picking up any gun that may sell well regardless of condition, saving it, and collecting artifacts I haven’t sold yet.
I have 70+ artifacts and spending so much RU traveling from Zaton to Yanov picking guns up and getting artifacts. I have 20,000+ rounds of ammunition and I keep buying unique guns from Nimble. What the H E double hockey sticks am I doinggggg feels_bad_stalk

Because I NEED strider to go with me for game ending, I want everything to land perfect and no mistakes on the way.
And pistols are useless in CoP due to being able to carry two primaries.

No, I’ve been stalling picking up guns and searching for artifacts that when the thought of helping them comes across my mind, it usually gets derailed with guns,ammo, artifacts.
I want to be on good terms with freedom only because Hawaiian will sell considerably lower for general inventory and buy at higher.
Also he will sell me the green variant to SUSAT and PSO scope

When you equip them, certain stats increase. The drawback is that they lower another stat or cause radiation poisioning.
