This gamemode honestly could not have had a soft-release at a better time. With my obsession of FNF currently, I feel like I've been training hard for this mode 😂

I really quite enjoy this game mode and scoring system and could definitely see myself using this as the main game mode I play once it's fully released and scores are saved! So, absolutely great work on this system and idea. However, I do have a few irks/suggestions for it.

  1. As someone that plays a lot of Fortnite Festival (I'm so sorry, that's the only thing I have to compare the weighted scoring system to akjsdnak), I absolutely love there being multiple different judgement windows rather than just "Perfect" and "Good". Despite that, I do feel 10 is a bit too strict and makes it not feel as good to play, similar to what Doom said in their feedback post. I'd recommend cutting it in half to have possibly 5 "groups" of %'s for scoring. My suggestions would be;
    • 100% being full score (No Change)
    • 90 - 80% being a group (85 points?)
    • 70 - 60% being a group (75 points?)
    • 50 - 30% being a group (45 points?)
    • 20 - 10% being a group (20 - 15 points?)

I feel this grouping, or something similar, would be a lot more fair and fun, Still keeping a lot of the challenge while not being as strict.
(Admittedly, I've always been bad at maths and especially balancing, so take my point recommendation with a grain of salt 💀 )

As it stands, I believe I am currently still getting gold stars consistently, just seeing my wide range of hits between 100-60% never gives me the excitement/happiness that the end screen results usually does. Having less groups would just make that screen feel better and in turn make the game mode as a whole feel a lot more enjoyable.

  1. This mostly goes in hand with suggestion 1, just being a visual tweak;
    - Updating the colours of Accuracy Markers to accurately reflect what scoring group it's under, OR
    - (Less Likely as it's a lot more unnecessary work:) Dropping the %'s for words instead specifically intended for the Weighted Scoring Gamemode. Would just be a nice QoL to add a little extra VFX to the gamemode

Therefore, using my scoring suggestions as an example,

  • 100% would be Green (No change)
  • 90/80% being a noticeably lighter green
  • 70-60% being yellow
  • 50-30% orange
  • 20-10% red
    Or, using words they'd be;
  • 100% would be "Perfect"
  • 90/80% would be "Great"
  • 70-60% would be "Good"
  • 50-30% would be "Okay"
  • 20-10% would be "Bad"

I do want to add to this now after a lil while of playing;
Definitely having trouble gold starring a decent amount of songs now.

If it's a song that's difficult or you dont hit 100% on with fully optimized OD placements, you will get 5 (non gold) stars. Seems it can definitely be very hard to get gold on certain chart styles.
