Hi everyone ️, I'm Sharan, a final year engineering student. Recently, while using WhatsApp web on my browser, I encountered some usability challenges. There's no dedicated copy button for messages, requiring manual selection by dragging the cursor, especially problematic with long messages or those with a 'Read More' prompt. This process becomes cumbersome, especially when accidentally clicking links while trying to copy them, leading to unintentional tab openings. I decided to address this issue by creating Whatscopy, a browser extension that adds a convenient copy button next to each message on WhatsApp web. It appears on hovering and, when clicked, instantly copies the entire message to the clipboard, making the experience smoother. I developed this extension independently within a week and it's now available for free on Chrome and Firefox web stores. I'd greatly appreciate your support in installing and reviewing it.
